Was that last comment rude? I was just kidding. Didn't mean to be insulting.

Anyhow... Been a busy couple of days. Last night we cut clones... well, Sister Ganja Queen, (whose grow this year puts mine, fisher's and every other grow I have seen to shame) did the cuts... I have very limited experience and just feel like right now is not the moment for another complete learning experience on the cloning front, so I let a skilled sister do it for me.

We took 100 clones. All Blue Dream, ClueBerry and two different OG Kush.

This evening, the Sherpa and I have been trimming the stuff that is coming down from the light dep. I am happy to say that the Flystery wound up yielding a full pound and a small jar of head stash from 2 plants . Next up is the Clueberry. I'm betting at least 3/4 per plant, but I wouldn't be surprised if we hit damn close to a full pound per. The nug is so fucking dank so far... from both strains we have trimmed. Tomorrow, the Headband A comes down.. i don't think there is another plant in the garden that has the same incredibly dense and powerful thing going on. The colars are rock hard... super dense, and the stems don't bend.. not even a tiny bit. The huge Sour D's just flop around on these weak stems, but the HB... its unreal.

Anyway... jars are filling up. Feels good. And, without being able to judge the cured nugs (yet) i would say that the quality of my herb far surpasses much of the indoor I see for sale at dispensaries. There are going to be some happy patients around here soon.

you can be sure that outdoor grown with atrifical darkening in full summer AND with the love ypu put on it will be better than lots of indoor weed.

i mean just look at the pics

Very good man and incredible for a first grow:yeahthats:yeahthats:yoinks:

Thanks all. Feels awesome. I have really been working my ass off for the last three months to get to this point. I always have said that if your are going to max out your credit cards on something, do it on a ganja grow... Now, while I don't have or use or want credit anymore, I did move my entire family back from overseas and invest heavily into the property and the grow... I'm just about at the point where it all falls apart and then.. JUST LIKE THAT, the crop comes down.

I also feel like, and I always knew this would be the case (like duh!) that I love growing the medicine. I'm fairly good at it, and I still have a long way to go to refine my technique (and learn entirely new ones.)

I am ready for the Black Box to be down... the Headband A purped out nice and was taken down this morning. Trichomes are between 90% cloudy and 10% amber on the Sour D's, Bubba and the PLP's... It should all be down by the weekend.

The little bit of herb my wife grew in CentAm (I am going to start calling it El Honduragua in these posts) took forever to dry... it was the cloud forest, after all. I have the stuff on the line for about 4 days and then I feel like I have to trim and get it into mason jars immediately, before it begins to go crispy.

Every time I burp the jars, the smells coming out are better. I know I could put this into the club as-is and people would be stoked, but I'm not putting my meds in the hands of patients without a good, conscientious cure. I will start delivering the jars that were trimmed yesterday in about 10 days. I'd like to go longer, but its just not going to be possible. Personally, besides what I smoke while I trim, I won't touch this stuff for at least 3 weeks.

yeah. i lived in portland for a while before the last time I left the states. i actually liked the dryness better on the commercially procured herbs up there.

by the way... i guess this is as good a place as any to post this.. if ANYBODY has a Cough clone they would like to give, trade, sell, it would make my entire year... Just to be clear, I am not talking about the Strawberry Cough of which I could cut a hundred clones for free about 7 miles down the road. I am talking about my all-time favorite ganja, the Cough. I have heard it can also be found in Colorado and possibly Austin, Texas. Its a very tightly held, clone-only strain. As far as I know, the guys who grow it are still keeping it close...

In the current clone culture here in the 707, there is almost no such thing as "a tightly held clone..." at least not from what I have seen in my short time here. I was given a gift of the Berry White and agreed to non-proliferation as this is supposedly one of the hot up-and-coming clone-only strains out there, but I know that by next year's outdoor, clones of this will be everywhere. Of course they will be there alongside the fugayzees (thats italian mob-speak for a fake) and they will be many more generations from the original mom than the one I've got out there (early flower pics coming soon)...

The way it works is that if you want to keep some clone-only genetics in your house, you have to be a complete fascist about it. No leaks. All it takes is one. I promise that if somebody from up there in the 503 has a cough clone they want to share, I am the right guy to share it with. I will cherish that mama for a very long time to come and if I ever stop ghrowing I will destroy or return the genetics.

Ok... end rant. Just thought I'd put that out there as it sprung to mind.

and to further clarify, as far as I know, the Strawberry Cough and the Cough have absolutely nothing to do with one another.

the original cough

the original cough

ive been following your thread since the start and was kinda amazed when you said your all time favorite cut is the original cough. or something like that. the cough is an original offering from THE SEED BANK back in the mid 80's. its a nl5 X haze cross. the guy that bought those seeds actually lives in concord california. hes a super cool guy and is still growing the cough. he originally lived on the east coast and in the early 90's moved to colorado, hence colorado having the cut. around 2000 john moved to oakland california ware he continued growing the cough. a recent divorce forced him to move to concord to be close to his kids and that is ware he still lives. i guess im telling you this because i too feel this cut is still number one in my book, i hold it very close. i also have the berry white cut that was obtained in portland oregon, and up until now was held very close. now that cali has it forget about it ;). so if your interested i could meet up with you and bless you with the original cough. and your right that the strawberry cough is not a cross from the original cough. i talked to kyle kushman (aka adam) he lives up the road from me in willits california and he does not know the genetics of the strawberry cough. his partner was the one that did the breeding he just used his name to sell the cuts to amsterdam. thats funny isint it? so i guess i could go on and on but id rather shoot the shit in person. so if your interested pm me and we could meet up. i like how your light deppin the kids as well. we do the same thing up here in norcal except on a much bigger scale. we finished our first round on july 15th and the second round will be done around the 2nd of september. then its time for the plain view in which i have 12 coughs that should be done around mid december. i like to let her go the whole twelve weeks just to make sure im thourally anialated. peace and much respect. oh and can some one tell me the proper spelling of ware, whare or ? ive never quite got that right. i obtained my cut directly from john so you can be assured its the COUGH. i have a pineapple cough thats got the smell and flaver of the cough but its done in 8 weeks. the powder mold loves her thou. just thoughts. i guess you deserve the COUGH because you talked so highly of her, again much respect and hit me up..... id also love to do some trading for some other elites if theres any of them still around. i heard the berry white was a hermie bag seed that was a cross of white widow and the original oregon blueberry from back in the early 90's when soma, and the fellas were living in eugene oregon? have you heard of another story? i think i read that it was from seed that was bought but i really dont know what to beleive. i got the cut from a guy that supposebly was the one who grew the seed. he goes by mr. white in the portland area. i dont really know the whole story but would really appreciate it if anyone has it. that bamboo house is killer as well. ive built custome homes in the states for over ten years another of my many passions. anyone have the 86 U.W. hashplant cut? id love to get that back for sentimental value. well i wrote a small book, i shoulda chimed in earlier but you know..........oh i would also love an original blueberry the one that smells of blueberry muffins, mmmhmmm.......not the shit that goes around with the name blueberry the original, i know its out here but ware or whare could she be? maybe around your place? lol

he originally lived on the east coast and in the early 90's moved to colorado, hence colorado having the cut.

wow. i told nomaad in a pm just before this that i used to see the cough alot in ft collins back in the late 90's, and then i come onto the thread and see your post. some of you guys' knowledge of strains and their histories is amazing. but thank you for confirming for me that it was the same 'the cough' that i was getting in CO back then. nomaad i hope you can meet up with him and get your dream cut bro.

Are you fucking kidding me?!!??! That was just too easy. Glad you added your :2cents: finally.**************3 SENTENCES DELETED AND SENT VIA pm************* My wife is going to be super stoked. Based on your information, I wonder how the cough made it to Portland. Living in Portland, I just assumed that it started there... silly assumption.

I like your multiple Black Box paradigm... exactly what I would have liked to do this year, but I just bearely got plants in the ground in time for this one. Next year its all about greenhouses. After I have decompressed from the harvest and done a little travelling, I am going to begin construction on a 15x30 cold frame. I'm going to run supplemental light all winter and then at least one light dep, possibly two.

As for the Blueberry, what I know is this. There is the DJ Shorts BB and the DJ Shorts True Blueberry... but i believeneither of them are the ORIGINAL Blueberry which is what I think you are talking about. I once read a major article written by DJ about his whole breeding steeze.

Berry White: My information says that its a clone only, selected phenotype of the Whiteberry from Paradise Seeds.

Thanks for joining in the conversation, mate. You have truly made my day. I'll PM you next time I am heading out your way.

Shangri-la: thanks for stopping by. I still have to post some of those mystery flo-like plants in their full season glory. The nug from that is potent as hell. I don't know if it suffered from the slightly early harvest (50 days)... but if it did, I can't even imagine how dank it would have been.

There is a quality about it that reminds me of Mr Nice, the strain. I would really like to know what it is that I am growing, because making names up is unfair to the patient end-user. I have had to do it with the Clueberry, but I feel like I'm so close to figuring it out on the flo-like plants... Gotta figure it out. Its kinda driving me crazy. Somebody just offered me f13 clones... so its still could be f13..? WILL WE EVER KNOW?????!!!
