Right on BudGood! Glad to have you along for the ride. :)

You made a good point there too. Some people don't have the time, space or tools to take on a DIY project. I remember having to spend a ton at HD when getting into hydro DIY-style. Drills, bits and pieces all add up in the end.

Or the know how, or the dedication...I could go on and on. It's a system I can feel comfortable recommending to friends and fellow patients. From reading your thread, I'm convinced. That Lady Cane looks friggin AWESOME! Oh, I use DutchMaster Gold also, the stuff is simply the best nute there is available right now IMHO. DM Gold, Max, Penetrator and Liquid Light, don't really need much else. :)

Mash can you give mea run down on this piece of equipment brother?

Plant Probiotics™ Tea Brewing System 6

I was just wondering what the steps are for making the TEA and how you apply it to your grows.

Thank you,

I'm not sure about the equipment, haven't seen their brewers.

The brewing process of the tea is easy as pie and doesn't stink. A bucket with water and an air stone, mix in two ingredients and leave it for 24-48 hours around 80*F (aquarium tank heater if needed).

I was thinking of taking my 3x6 ebb veg tray make a top with holes for the 8 inch pots and top feed but with a twist. Im gonna use the ebb over flo fitting to set the water level at about 3 inches and drop in a buch of air stones. What ya think mash. Im thinking of vegging out about 2 1/2 to 3 ft bushes befor poppin them in the 12 xl. Oh ya by the way I convinced the other 1/2 we are a go on the 12 xl under 3k with magnum xxxl. I figure why bust my ass trying to get 3 zones per plant in the ebb & flo buckets to get 4.5 lb when I could sit back and just watch the uc give me a simple 5 1/2 to 6 lb with ease with a little help from my friends. Kick ass mash its about to get crazy up in here.

Sounds good on the tray homie. Really excited you're on board with the UC.

Don't worry, we'll all be giving our years of collective experience to one another in hopes of gaining more knowledge. When the social-group pops up there will be a detailed description on all facets of growing, seed to harvest. Contributing to this will be like a wiki of sorts that all future UC heads will benefit from as it's directly tailored for the system.

That's the concept anyway, it'll take more than one active mind to figure it all out to suite everyone.

Mashup, had a thought, what is the difference between the regular and XL version, besides the spacing? Is the pump bigger, anything like that? I'm wondering because I'm trying to decide which to pick up when I do make the plunge, space is somewhat of a concern, but later, when it isn't, I'd like to give the girls more room. So basically what I'm asking is: Can you change the regular to the XL and vice-versa by cutting different lengths of 2" PVC? Would it be possible to do this?

BudGood - It's just the bucket spacing/2" PVC length, easily changeable. :)

Carboy - That's the polar opposite of what a tea does. SM-90 kills all bacterial life, giving a sterile/100% synthetic environment. Not to say that'll effect yield or anything, last run was done the same way and knocked down the Lbz.

Mashup, I use this product in my 5gal and plan to in my UCs.
picture.php

I use a mix of standard GH micro 2, grow 1, bloom 3, Diamond nector 1, Becauze Bloom 1, and Nutri Burst .5. The Nutri Burst works great getting the PH down, it smells like vinegar. I have alge and issues up to my eye balls so I'm pretty sure my product is not intended for full synthetic or to create a sterile environment. Your opinion of my 6 part recipe is greatly appreciated.

Anyone know a better CLEANER (I hate scrubbing black X$%*# off of everything) mix to run in my UC. I'm always willing to learn.

Peace, :joint:

PS I can't wait to see the cool graphics and stuff you come up with for the group. Also I'd have no problem contributing a little for expenses or a copy or two of my favorite titles to the club library.

Hey dude, looks like you're quite the experimenter. :D

The key to success is keeping it simple. For everything you add in the water, you create another variable. PH drift is not a desired effect and is usually caused by additives.

My honest opinion is to run just your base nute the first time with a tea or bacteria/fungi product. You'll be blown away and have a baseline you can choose to deviate from or not. :2cents:

The only additive you should consider is a bud booster product. The last run received two half-strength doses of Advanced Nutrients Big Bud in the final 3 weeks.

If your recipe is a known good though and you're getting stellar results, stick with it. :canabis:

So im ordering my uc, just had a question on why you went from 12 to 8 under 2000 watts. Im going to use 3000watts but was thinking of going with the uc16, why the switch? trying to hit the 2per mark is the 12xl a better choice then the 16? Also I use nova and floralicious plus from start to finish and a product called HUMTEA http://www.cuttingedgesolutions.org/catalog/humtea.php
is this tea pretty much the same? Also theres a debate on SM90 killing or not killing beneis, dont remember who but someone gave a call to nurtrilife and the said it will not kill? Who knows. Anywayz great thread, cant wait to get the ball rolling but your guys knowledge is the KEY?

The switch is because the plants were a bit cramped.

Fat bushes in the 12XL would do better than minis in a 16 IMO. 8oz on a bush is chicken feed with the right genes.

Would be nice if SM-90 was selectively eliminating different things and leaving the beneficial colony alone.

Your current tea will work fine, glad to hear you're already wise. :)

thanks for the quick reply. So scratch the sm90 keepin it simple. trying to get some info on the Plant Probiotics tea but cannot find it. Trying to figure how much I would need to order, like how much of this stuff per gallon and how often do you use it, and do I need to buy a brewing kit? or will just my own air pump and stone be fine. Might just go with the tea I use now, to many new things for me can equal a disaster.
Also on those fat bushes are we working for just many tops with a nice bottom trim of fat bushes with the popcorn buds and all?

Quick replies, that OCD speakin'. Or the urge to help. :D

The dudes at CCH2O will tell you all about it, but it's simply 1-2oz of brewed tea per gallon of water. So if you get a 12gal pack, ya got enough to do up 700-1,500 gallons of solution.

No special brewer needed, but again - the pumps/diffusers they use are the shit. I'll be grabbing one in the future just to keep things lookin' sleek.

I'd like to see your results on that tea actually. No sense in us all using the same thing while trying to find out what works best.

The plant's genes will determine plant structure to a degree, some phenotypes handle manipulation quite well while others prefer to do their single cola thing.

Preferably you grow to match your lights. Horizontal lights? Horizontal canopy. Typically ScrOG. The SCCC is a LARF free zone - Only popcorn 'round here is topped with butter!! :lurk:

This learnin' stuff is difficult on a THC spiked muffin. @_@

The phrase "obsessive-compulsive" has become part of the English lexicon, and is often used in an informal or caricatured manner to describe someone who is meticulous, perfectionistic, absorbed in a cause, or otherwise fixated on something.

That SOMETHING being fixated on meticulously perfecting the use of my new UC12xl for the cause of MASS BUD PRODUCTION....

Once again Thanx for the INFO.......Peace

So I just got the scoop from Nutrilife (makers of sm-90).

SM-90 does not harm or kill beneficial bacteria or enzymes.

So products like Hygrozyme, Cannazym, and Hydroguard are good to go, as well as Mycorrhizal based products.

They said they ran tests so there you go...

NOTE: SM-90 will inhibit beneficial bacterial colonization. If you are trying to promote bacteria growth in your garden, this may not be a desirable additive.

I do aero and using sm90 as much for helping the nozzles as anything -- 95% vegetable oil and for my purpose, don't care what it kills.

When i saw the deal about helping roots, I thought it might apply here.
