600 Watt Club here I am

my first indoor grow seedlings
one of the seeds(the runt plant) sprouted 5 days after the other 3 along with it's replacement so those two will have to share that pot
some healthy seedling indeed
next grow they will start in smaller pots for the first 3 weeks directly under the light for all 4
3 at 3 weeks and the 2 at 2 weeks

^^ Nice man :joint:

I have a few newbie questions for you 600 watt growers out there. Do any of you air cool your lights with a carbon filter attached? Or is the only adequate way to keep temps down to air cool your lights and have a seperate fan sucking air out the grow room through a carbon filter? I hope that makes sense. My reason for asking is, I really like 600 watt lights because of their lumen to watt ratio, and I'm wondering if I would need to have more then one fan to keep the growroom cool.

Yes. I cool my tube and scrub the air in one.
My system goes carbon filter > fan > Cooltube/600w > exit.
Fresh air is via 2 x 150mm pc fan assisted intakes

Guess I better join eh?
My bloom room is 1.3m x 1.2m. I grow in soil mostly, but am keen to try some coco.
At the moment I've gone vertical and am loving the 360 degrees of 600 watt goodness.

The bulb is riding about level with the tops.
The plants are staged on three levels, more of a stadium than the vertical screen approach. I had a screen in the beginning but it was too hard to work with. None of my plants get turned either. I train them to be one-sided. I'm still finding my way so am sure each yield will get better

just remember a 600 is good 29 inches from bulb , so i see it as wasted light, on a verticle you shouldnt be concerned with the tops, you want to get the sides and if you could lower the light inside the cooltube because the band where the metal meets glass looks like it might block a little light in the up direction

are those plants in individual pots Expat

and where do you find a cool tub like that one

I'd like to have a square space like that to do that type grow

Si MrRed, the bulb sits high in the tube. I've thought to do something about it, but its been in use since I plugged it in.

Yes the plants are in individual pots. I veg them three different ways depending on where in the room they are placed. Eight tall plants with some well cropped ones at their feet and low LST ones hanging just behind and above the tops of the tall ones. These ones are adjustable so they stay just above the tall ones.
The cooltube is probably an Australian product.
