So far I really love the way the recipe is working. Everything green, no spots, no tip burns and explosive growth. Have not deviated from the directions at all.
Running a dwc scrog in a NGB cab, res stays around 67 at night and right before lights out temp is just at 70-71.
GH Lemon Skunk seems to like, no Loves it so far.
I'm sold.
Been running FloraNova with a little floralicious plus and Kool bloom in flower for past 2 years.
They worked great but I always seemed to be a chasing the girls, with the Technaflora products they never left :joint:

Looks like I'm home. Good price too!

Notice some burn in my diy aero @ full strength, cut down to 800 ppm and was lookin much better, full strength in soil.

Here is how my white finish in Ocean Forest and the Technaflora receipe for success, i did ony do one treatment of the final stage and in this case i have to water each day, even in flush, so had 7 day flush. Will let you know about smoke report.

By the looks of that in the photo anyway, I would have let it go another week to ten days. But a photo can not tell the whole story. Looked good though :)

Ok this thread is a God send. I am doing my first hydro and am using Tech. I am doing a Ebb and Flo 6 bucket set up with rockwool and hydroton. I have a 55 gal res. With a fresh mix of water and HALF HALF strength nutes. The res is PH 6.2 PPM 1430 EC 2.08

My tap is 7.5 PPM 510 EC 0.75 whats a good mix to run with grow, bloom, boost? And why is my mix strong out the gate at half strength ???? Thanks a ton.

Did you pre-soak your rockwool? Ph is a little high to start with. For half strength you should have a ppm of 350 if you mixed at1.5 ml per l on boost and .5ml per l with grow. Add the difference of your tap waters ppm and you will get the total ppm in your res. My tap water is between 40 and 50 ppm, so my total ppm before adding other additives sits around 800-810 depending on water quality.

Once you start adding things like Bloosom and peroxide to the mix you need to take those numbers into consideration as well.

You sure you mixed the proper amounts? That's the only thing I can think of other than you meter needs to be calibrated. Start with proper calibration then test your res again.

Adjust as needed then you should be ok. You can run this line a little weak, but you really need to see what the plants are doing first.

I have a half strength mix of the whole recipe for success, take a little on additives because they ran out. Did you think I only had boost and bloom going ? Would this constitute the hi ppm with my tap ppm ?
Also I am two days into flowering with three 15 min watering cycles a day and my 55 gal res has only fluctuated a lil. Ph went from 6.2 to 6.3 and PPM went from 1430 to 1440, 4 feeding cycles ago. Does this reading indicate more water consumption leaving a higher PPM ? And does it seem there on track due to low fluctuations ? Aaaaand does it take longer to see fluctuations in a largeer res like my 55 ?
Thanks

With all the proportions in the new formula you should be sitting around 1900ppm from what I can see. You state you have used half, so that would bring you to 950ppm give or take a few. Did you take into consideration the ppm readings from your tap water to fill in the difference from what you are reading at your res?

How far had your res dropped since you filled it? That would also raise your total ppm readings. When that happens just add the proper ph'd water to help lower your levels back to where you would like them to be.

Each additive will bump your ppm readings, so with boost, bloom, blossom and b1 red you will notice an increase. What you could do if your bored, is to take readings when you add each one to get an idea of how many ppm's are added to your plain water. Just another way to have a closer idea as to what might be up. But I would try to get the ph down over the next few days to the 5.9 - 6.0 area with 5.8 being the sweet spot for hydro. I do notice that the ph will dive when plants start to flower, then will start to stabilize over four or five days.

Just take your readings once a day, and if things go way too far, then adjust as needed to bring up or down your readings as required.

Villan , I have a 4 gal rez and have about the same amount of drift you describe. I use full recipe everything this time to see what happens. So far I only add rez about 1/3rd water between changeouts.
That seems to me that the product is stable and I like it so far.

1st diy aero, day 25, about day 18 had prob and burnt a little, but hopefully back on track. Using Technaflora nutes, now @under 800 ppm

Cana - Are you keeping your res nice and cool? I found that with temp swings the same happened with mine. Keeping it under 65f seems to be the right area. Well right now it is a little bit of an effort due to the weather though. Temps in the room are reading 86.1f, time to go vent again and add another bottle of ice..... :wallbash:

Canna.
I always thought aero was recommended about one third strength of whatever product.
I suggest to even go lower (400-450ppm)

Room temps under lights vary @night, but 70's, first summer run

lights on 85ish under lights, room temps 80's, first summer run so has climbed, but i prepared

in rez room, mini sealed with some insulation, two cat litter containers frooze outside the rez tank, not in the water @all, keeping that room @ 70 no prob, or under, change out ice once daily.

thanks...the "hrydo guy" said full strength, looks like the technaflora website said full strength, but plants vary.

changing today and will do the 1/3.

PH? any other hints, feel free to visit my profile, obiviously more info/pics

My recent round is in the second week of full blown flower. Have the ppm sitting in the 1090 - 1110 range with a ph of between 5.8 and 6.0. Seems to be pretty stable in the drip system as long as the res stay's in the mid to low 60's. I needed to raise the 400watt HPS up to about 18-20 inches above the canopy to help keep the temps down.

Going to just run with top ups for two weeks and maintain the ppm/ph levels to see what that gives in return this time. BC Boost, BC Bloom and A-Blossoms is all that I have been feeding them.

Will try to toss up a few update photo's later today.
