DC marathon on pretty much nonstop all weekend!

why does discovery do that?...i seriously cant be pulled away when its on...even tho ive seen every episode countless times.

nokuy i am the same way i sit on my ass all day watching deadliest catch and smokin doobies. i have seen every episode of every season atleast 2 or 3 times and yet i still sit around and watch it... its safe to say im a deadliest catch addict... now only if i could get on a fishin vessel myself...

I didnt go see Phil...I totally forgot till it was too late to go...Im kinda glad tho, there were tons of ppl there and I would have left anyway..I like phil and love the show but not waiting a cpl of hours to get a pic of him

thats not quite the norm in the industry....they must really like him.

i worked on a halibut boat w/ 2 brothers 1 was a twin the other an older bro.

the other twin that we didnt work with died tragically...the day they (the 2 bros) heard he died they missed 5 mins work.

that was it....they didnt take time off for a funeral or for cryin, or for nuthin else.

they were ak natives, and couldnt afford to take any time off or to dwell on it while working....they never even spoke of it...but we knew it bothered them.

Real sad episode last week. Had me on the verge of tears. The show the colony looks like a foreshadowing of future civil unrest anyone else notice the flashing of images of police shields etc?

By the way, anyone interested in a bering sea reading list? I've read maybe 4 - 7 books and I could list 'em and write a little review on each one if there's interest. If ya get tired of watching re runs books are a great substitute.

Real sad episode last week. Had me on the verge of tears.

I was ok, until the kid said "I need to help my mom, I don't know how she'll handle it.""

That line made the tears start to form...crazy how when you put yourself in someone's situation, you feel it. I admired the way the captain and crew handled it, they showed heart..

behind the scenes is on tonight, and monday is sum behind the scenes camera crew stuff.

that greenhorn on the maveric this year was about the worst on yet....could give moi a run for his money.

the greenhorn the the f/v wizard was bad too. the guy couldn't come up with enough excuses to get off the boat, and then he had the guts to ask for his job back. i couldn't stop shaking my head when he did that. i guess the wizard picked up russell after the time bandit dropped him.

i saw the behind the scenes episode. the kid filming on the cornelia marie for the first time showed a lot of guts being that he was deathly sea sick almost the whole time. phil or somebody should offer that kid a job if he puts on a little more size.

did you catch the movie they made called deadliest seas or whatever. I have it recorded but I haven't gotten around to watching it.

And as far as getting a job up there I am very seriously considering it right now.
