I'll try to find some pix of my bamboo, but don't expect anything like the ganja photography... I wish I'd had my new camera while living down there, but alas, I did not.

I am going to see if somebody on the farm can take some photos for me. I left before the rainy season kicked in this year and that's when the boo does its annual growth spurt. This season my japanese black and my Buddha Belly, should really pop.

I appreciate all the interest.

No bamboo art yet, but the homies on the homestead will be taking some in the next little bit and I'll post them when I have them.

Found this guy in the Berry White today

Been trimming some Burmese x Hashplant that just came out of a friend's light dep. I'm hoping he has some of this is his full summer garden, cuz I just gotta have a clone or tissue culture (kit is coming in a week). Huge yielder as well. 1+lbs per plant in a light dep. Yee-haw. My opinion is that it would be a crime against the cheeba gods to make hash out of these buds. ( i edited this from 2+ lbs per plants cuz I thought he had 2 or 3 plants.. but he had 4, so its just under 2lbs per plant)

nomaad, I'm glad I finally caught up on your grow. I know it's old news now, but that tub girl reference - dang. I still have some nightmares about a funnel with some fish.

On to the good stuff - it's always a pleasure getting to know folks a bit better; I wish I could be more open on this board, but alas my area is not as open as Cali, which typically leads the way in changing the laws. I hope Cali's good will quickly spreads East.

Please try to find out where that NL came from - it surely produces some wickedly beautiful pistils. I hope she smokes as good as she looks. Speakin' of good lookin' - dang if that Clueberry isn't a goddess!

Keep up the fantastic work out there. Nice to have a camera to record it so you can look back at the time lapse, eh? K+ no doubt, if I can - I probably have to spread it around. Be good out there, mi hermano!

[EDIT] Yeah, have to spread some karma around before I'm able to K+ you again. And, I almost forgot your Bubba Kush? Sweet Jimminy Cricket! She has some beer-sized buds? Incredible!

So... I got my Eyeclops the other day and I started playing with it today after the kids went to sleep. Unfortunately, the subject of my first microscopic photo shoot one of a couple of sick plants I have in my garden.

Its a granddaddy purple that I have in the light dep in a 10 or 15 gallon pot. It was just a plant that we had laying around after the sherrif came and just threw into the light dep. Every day it gets moved along with the pink NL and a REALLY fucked up lemon drop.... I'll take pics of this trio of fugly bitches in the morning...

Anyhow... one of the buds at the bottom of the GDP in question is all brown and rotted on the underside. I am not sure if its just from splashing nute solution on it when it gets watered, fungus, something systemic... no idea...

I clipped a small bud (that should have been cut off in the first place, but I wasn't giving this plant much love at all) and brought it inside for closer inspection.

the bud that i removed

note the black spots and a whitish scaly residue or something

One spot... notice the scaly white rough patch on the right.

Trichs on a non-necrotic part of the same bud

Eyeclops is cool... kind of a POS, but fun to play with. May take the fucker apart and turn it into a stand microscope as described in another thread somewhere.

IF ANYBODY KNOWS WHAT THE FUCK THIS IS, PLEASE SHARE!! I'm looking... if I find some good info, I'll post it.

.
any issues with catapillars? man they tore into our grow couple years back.. that mixed with the hard rains that year provided 10+lbs worth of moldy bud...good thing we had some 5+lbers... looks like you in for some of the same in those big 200+ gallon'rs ... how much you watering?? any of those bad girls take 20 gallons a day yet? haha couple hours of watering every morning aint so bad..ill deff be checking up on this thread,

Esco:

Thanks for stopping by.

I give em 15-18 gallons when I feed, but I would say they get by with about 5-10 gallons of water each day. The soil mix I am using is pretty damn good at the water retention.

Any thoughts on the above ugliness?

Nomaad, those black spots and the spots that are eaten away look like Thrip's.
I wouldn't worry about them, outdoors on big plants they don't do to much damage. Neem oil works somewhat or fox farms Don't bug me will kill them though if your worried.

hmmm.... that bud looks like it might have gotten some water on it then baked in the sun... kinda hard to tell, maybe if i saw the whole plant i could give a better explanation.

The leaf looks like it has typical thrip damage ... no big-e.. the small pests like thrips and mites are hard to keep down in the outdoors

My main concern is catapillars...they come on hard around august up there .. they all start with the white moths you see fly'n around dropin larve everywhere.. now those will ruin your buds.

Foxxy/Esco: thanks for the help. Thrips.

The plant that this bud came off isn't really an important part of the garden... Its been unhealthy for a while... Would this make it more susceptible to thrips?

I'll inspect the rest of the black box more closely for damage and do a foliar on the full season gals.

Gracias.

i have other little bits and pieces that have been removed, or accidentally chopped off that are dry. I hung up those bits... I guess I'll get around to them eventually.

We've been helping a friend get his black box trimmed, so there is no shortage of lovely dank around here to smoke.

OK... I'm going to do a photo update in two parts. First the good, then the bad. The "good" is some new nuggpr0n.

Since most of the past flower photography has focused on the ClueBerry and the Bubba Kush, I thought I would ignore them totally and show you what going on with the Sour D's and the Skunk.

Here we are on day 43 of 12/12 in the light dep.

My little jungle

2009_0730-Garden-006.jpg

The Sour D's are seriously chunking out. A coupl eof buds have drooped over, but nothing has broken. I'm expecting these girls to go about 2 weeks later than the ClueBerry, Bubba and GDP.

As I said, there will be a second photo update. In it, I'm going to post pics of the 'afterthought' a small-pot GDP that doesn't look so good.
