I think Kate is the brains of the operation. Raising 8 kids is really expensive<---understatement of the year. So Kate realized that maybe people would tune in for 1 or 2seasons, beyound that kate figured out that she needed conflict inorder to get people to continue to tune in. That's why she demeans and belittles Jon, to provoke an emotional response. You need conflict. The kids are cute, but eventually people would stop tuning in. Plus Kate has written a book, and have taken numerous speeching engagements. Honey is making that money, I can't blame her. While Jon on he other hand is.... What exactly does Jon does again?

It's just about their life and struggles and what it takes to do something like go to the park with 6 youngins. They need lots of family and friend help. Interesting.
