Unk - Looking good in and out there too (as Herb waves Mrs Weedman over for a look see) Indeed ... I have much love for Panda ... and Duct tape ... it felt like I was cheating while I was rolling out the Reflectix for this build. The black tape isn't just colored duct tape ... That's GORILLA Tape ... when Mylar Bubblewrap or Panda is concerned it is my findings that you should not put gorilla tape anywhere you don't plan on it staying ... that stuff will pull skin off if left to adhere ...

I'm going to hate to have to move it.it's not very environmental, but gum remover works to remove gorilla tape.

I had to choose between playing with solvents or duct tape ... I picked duct tape ... but ... thanks for the tip. What time is it ?? Time for More Camera practice ...

On request I have taken a few pics of my exhaust ventilation ... I'll try to keep them in sequence as the air flows ...

First Pic ... Passive Intake ... 2nd 6" clip on trained on the Intake to spread the fresh air around (aimed at the wall) ... 3rd the air cooled light ... 4th The exhaust Out ... 5th where 2 "rooms" venting come together ... 6th the splitter (the 4X4 is the 90 deg off set) ... 7th The vortex sits on top of that paneling ... its power cord is shown too. And not shown is the Vortex dumping into a Mountain Air filter ...

Thanks for the update herb...on the reflectix, do you use anything on the inside that you mount the ducting to? Or do you just let it free hang from the hole that you cut?

Gorilla tape and nylon mesh Pipe Straps ... I can't get in there fully right now for a pic but you can see that the exhaust flex vent is tucked in the corner of my middle stud and top 2X2 to help keep the light centered and for extra support. I could probably use a few more straps leading to the ceiling joist for the portion outside the room. It does sag a little now that it has had 2 months of being hot/cold. Gorilla tape is strong stuff so I don't think the weight of the vent will cause a light leak (ovulation of the hole) any time soon. I plan on covering the reflectix with Black poly or putting up a curtain as it seems the mylar bubblewrap cracks with use and could cause light leak issues as I open and shut the flap ...

OS-Thanks for stopping in. Yeah ... she's close to maximum density ... just a little room to finish filling out ... I certainly can't see the floor.

Many advantages to a real room, built-out rather than a grow tent.

But Outgassing is the #1 reason...toxic stuff...I've read far too many reports of sick plants in tents. I've seen it in action...buds grown in a tent I watched were not tasting the way they should have, and tasted like plastic. Yuck.

Fresh air, and lots of it is required for tasty buds.

Say you had a frame like he had.....what would it take for you to consider it a "room"? Would thin wood walls work? You want it well vented to the rest of that level of the house...

I'm on the tail end of building a similar type frame system and you're making me second guess the tent I was planning on....

Thanks for any help and sorry for any hijack....

Honestly I was going to comment that I liked the tent and that it's similar to what I want to do until I read some of this feedback from a mod.....

Why did it have to be a Mod? To add credibility? Ask your FUCK EM crew ... my growing is for real. Don't let my antics in other departments here at IC confuse you. I take my posting in the Growers Forums very seriously.(as Herb takes off his Proud hat and steps down off the soap box) Are you looking for something that might be easier to take down and hide or move? I can disassemble that by disconnecting 2 worm gear clamps and 7 screws (and pulling some Tape HeHeHe) flat and easily tossed in a Pick Up or Van for transport ... It'll go in any corner that has an 8 ft ceiling ... it's pretty tight and with a few mods could be a sealed room ... I get a Negative Pressure (the 'walls' suck In) and no smells escape. You want to vent to Outside the house IMHO. If you have any "handyman" skills at all you don't want or need to buy a Tent IMHO.

Stoned Teacher...trust me, go ahead with your intentions. This type of tent is very efficient, as well as customizable. You can build it to suit any situation that you have going on within your grow environment. I have built a 4x4 tent close to this design, and its a dream! To each their own...
