Here is a fairly new product that will have all you like minded growers thinking :D when I walk in buildings or certain areas I'm always thinking 'this is perfect' for you know what ;)

Have a look at this baby

If I had one of these I'd bury it, I have looked over shipping containers in the past BUT this would outdo them IMO.

What would you do if you had this and how would you do it? :D

Hey Canna thanks for the Rep, just hit ya back. I haven't done much researching into it, probably is a quote on email. What kind of ideas are ya thinking of?

I think it would work great as an underground grow op, if you had the cash buy 2, bury them, keep one for a large diesel generator and grow in the other. Sounds easy but there's a lot of work involved......We all can dream :D

Dude that thing is sweet I'd bury that sucker and fill that bitch with mad g watts and do my thing. There are all kinds of things u could do with that...No clue on a price for it???

looks like you can sew them together and then they reform also, go total underground in case of nuclear war, bird flu or just cuz ya sick of everyone else. gotta think bout recyclin air, but dont plants help with that, whole garden of veggies,
need some advances in solar and wind and energy storeage, biodeisel from plant fuel?

can dream?

looks like could be used in remote local, maybe for guerilla style to stash your shit, could have it all out there for start to finish, just the local stream and pump for water.

desert? sand bag it also and stays cool?
ice? double flower room and recycle heat and keep her nice and warm with help of the veg room also?

prob more to know about it, thought in video heard 10 year life on liner?

Great idea's, It would be perfect for keeping a very big stash, that's for sure! An 18KW vertical grow would also be something to consider, 3k stacked on top of each other X 6 = 18,000W.

Here's a diesel gen with a max power of 42Kw, I wonder if a diesel generator would be ok to use as your only power source, do they break down easily if running a 12/12 schedule for a long period of time?

Hey man I took this from their website:

Is it possible to purchase a Concrete Canvas Shelter?

Currently we produce Concrete Canvas Shelters on a batch basis which means they are only available in very small numbers. However we are in the process of setting up volume production lines at our Wales site. Once these are complete, we will begin commercial sales of both CCS and CC. We are currently taking pre-orders for shelters. Please contact us at sales@concretecanvas.co.uk if you would like to place an order.

Sounds like they have very little stock, how much do you recon one of these would cost? I'll hit em with an email later and hopefully they'll reply 2mara :D

This has been around for a while.

Aid agency chiefs have been impressed by the simplicity and economy of the idea. A bag weighing 230 kilograms (approximately 500 pounds) inflates into a shelter with 16 square meters (172 square feet) of floor space. Cost is estimated at £1,100 ($2,100), while an equivalent-size Portakabin (a type of portable building widely used in the United Kingdom) costs about £4,000 ($7,700). The same-size tent costs about £600 ($1,150).

So a 10x17 is estimated to be $2100. Not bad IMO.

That article was posted in 2005 so it may not accurate anymore.

This is from them.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for contacting Concrete Canvas with your enquiry and apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

Concrete Canvas Shelters (CCS) are rapidly deployable inflating structures that harden on hydration to form a water proof, fire proof, secure and durable thin walled concrete structure. Shelters can be deployed by two people, in less than an hour and are ready to use in under 24 hours. They require only water and air for construction. There are two size variants of CCS; The CCS54 and the CCS25 which have 54sqm and 25sqm of floor space respectively. Please find attached, our latest literature and specification sheet which outline the key dimensions and weights of both variants.

With regard to costing, the pricing structure for CCS is volume dependant. As a ball park indicator of pricing, a single CCS25 unit will cost approximately £14’000 and a CCS54 unit, approximately £18’000 (approx $29’000) using current production processes and ex. delivery. The shelters are fabricated to order from our UK pilot plant here in Wales, crated and shipped to your location with all the necessary equipment required for deployment; inflator, ground pegs etc.

Coincidentally, we currently have a CCS54 unit in storage in Torrence, California of which we have no further requirement. This was shipped out for a series of military tests that has since been completed within the UK. The shelter is non-earth bermable so will not offer ballistic protection; hopefully not a requirement for your purposes!

Given the circumstances, we’re in a position to offer this shelter with a 66% discount (approx $9’800). The shelter is supplied folded, crated and includes the inflator and deployment equipment necessary. There would obviously be significant cost reduction in delivery as the shelter is already state side.

If this is of interest to you or if you have any questions, then please do not hesitate to contact me directly or let me know of a convenient time that I may call you back. This would be the first shelter ever to be deployed in Canada and North America.

In the interim, please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you any further enquiries. For further information on our products, please also visit our comprehensive and regularly updated website, www.concretecanvas.co.uk .

Regards

If any one is in Califonia and wants a good deal on one Hit them UP ASAP..
