looking good mate - if the NL plants dont look identical then you should take a clone of the one you flower just in case it is better than the one you keep for the mum ;)

if you can, always clone every plant you flower - cos its always gonna be the one you didnt back up that ends up being the one you wish you kept

look forward to seeing the new setup

Tent finally installed with the 150 watt HPS bulb.:woohoo:

I'll post pictures tomorrow with the 600 Watt MH/HPS light.

Setting up the tent was exhausting.

Took the opportunity to mix my soulless mix to re pot all the plants. I don't see how anyone can do more than a few plants.:noway:

Also the feminized Northern Light sprouted and were potted. Perhaps its early, but I had the mix prepared. So they went in pots.:woohoo:

Right now I going to smoke a bowl and chill out with episodes of 24:joint:

love peace and happiness to you all.

OK so things are going good for ya..
your soil mix looks real good..

ill just mention it
think about this your tent will be busy /occupied with the longest flowering strain you have..(dont start too many seeds and run out of room :noway: )
I think I see a vegging tent in your future (ikea would work also :2cents:):woohoo:

on the northern light ya figure they will be about 3 or 4 feet in full flower (mine are at 1.5 ft with 4 weeks from seed)pending on how long ya veg em for)..so you want 1 gal per foot. would try and find square buckets if ya can ..they are real space savers later on when you have 6-8 plants in there..

and
definitely stock up on smoke before ya go experimenting..(nice choice on the auto flower)

ideally you want to grow a strain , learn how it reacts to the nutes, then grow it again ,,and improve the yield/quality

PS bust out the pics of the tent already :nanana:

I'm now subscribed

I not sure what height to put the lamp at?

The CoolTube is 24" above the tallest plant with temps of 79-81 degrees F. Relative Humidity is 50-60%

May have to replace the in line and/or exhaust fans:wallbash: and/or install a large circulation fan

I remember in my search seeing a chart that had average coverage/height area for wattages for both HPS and MH .

Anyone have a link to this chart? Anyone?:1help::1help:

hey soc glad to see you got your tent and light..as far as the forgotten lamp, well that the breaks , shipping the correct order seems to be difficult for most big places..:fsu:

now lets address the way you have your tent set up.
I am by no means an expert but .here are my thoughts

1 it seems you are pulling through the scrubber , to the fan then pushing through the cooltube out to the exhaust, while IMO it would better this way,

scrubber----> cool tube ----->fan---> exhaust-->

and ....you want to avoid those bends in the flex duct, you wouldn't believe how much on single 90deg bend will influence the pull or Push through ducting, if ya can make those ducting runs as short as possible and as straight as possible,

PLEASE DONT JUDGE MY DRAWINGS , I JUST HAVE THE ENERGY TO MAKE IT PRETTY,,:joint:

you can compress the ducting together to make the runs shorter ( without having to cut the ducting into smaller pieces), , basically you want to have duct runs as short as possible and bends as small as possible
(deg wise)
does this make any sense//kinda tired right now:joint:

air circulation , yea I would suggest another fan in there , those clip fans are great but dont move a lot of air.

obviously the closer ya get the light to the plants the better, with a 600 in that tent 24 inches is fine, 18 inches is better, think about tying the taller plant down, plants seem to be most flexible right before lights on,
I would suggest super cropping but I'm not sure you would be comfortable with it..

I'm in flower and lights are off right now so I cant take any pics of my junk right now ,,

Thanks for your quick reply.

My pictures were not informative enough, but here is my setup:

  1. Air conditioner---->fan---> cool tube ---> exhaust into room
  2. scrubber in tent----> fan---> exhaust into room

you can compress the ducting together to make the runs shorter ( without having to cut the ducting into smaller pieces), , basically you want to have duct runs as short as possible and bends as small as possible

Yes makes perfect sense. Will make it so!:yeahthats

Yes ,when to Home Depot purchased a stand up fan.:yeahthats

I would suggest super cropping but I'm not sure you would be comfortable with it.
I built a screen for the LowRyder (Long Legs) will display next update. Super cropping perhaps with the Northern Lights do not know if LowRyders will take to it

Not happy with tent to many source of light leaks, went and bought a roll of duct tape and 15 ft of velcro to seal Tent before Northern Lights go to Flower.

To much hassle to take apart and RMA.:dueling:

duh Yea I forgot about you ac unit

I worry more about the light getting IN the tent during lights off than the light escaping,,you have 600 watts of intense HID light in there, how intense in the light in the place where the tent is setup, since you said you have a door thats locked 24/7 to the grow ,,is ther any light in that room when the door is shut and locked, and its light off in the tent??

hey soc looks promising - my bible says that a 400 should be 12 to 24 inches above your canopy, so with a cool tube i would have thought nearer 12. (perhaps a little further for the seedlings)

in the fullness of time you should consider building yourself a cab out of ply or OSB - pretty easy when they are just a box type cab.

Hey soc!
I really would suggest a darkroom - when the room is dark I cant see any light at all.
When I get close I can see maybe 5 pin holes through the zipper stitching - that's about it
