Colorado MMJ License ?'s

I don't think they're too worried about being sued. They're backed pretty heavily... by the state of Colorado. Obviously not going to be fun for them, but I doubt that will change any votes. I hope it does.

Votes soon?

to quote westword:

"8:20 p.m.: The board passed something! But it doesn't have to do with limiting the number of patients. Nor is it very exciting. It has to do with defining caregiver as a person who is over 18 and has "significant responsibility of managing the well-being of a patient who has a debilitating medical condition."

Did you hear what it was JWH? Tell us about it when can!

Thanks.

Thats what I mean, it just sucks to get involved in legal proceedings, and is a headache I'm sure they just don't want, with all they're dealing with now (the sudden influx of new apps and such). Nice to hear about the strong showing from patients and caregivers today... :joint: Good job guys, to all ICMaggers who made it up there. :respect: I wanted to, but being broke and the need to work on my grow kinda made my decision for me.... Not to mention the two hour drive... :D

Yeah Movado, I just saw that shit. I don't see how that isn't important. The definition of caregiver? That's gonna cause some grief if that went the wrong way.

ARGH! What is going on?!

8:32 p.m.: A motion to further define "caregiver" as someone who does housekeeping, makes food for patients, drives them places and gets them marijuana failed. The crowd clapped.

8:37 p.m.: The board is debating whether to vote on limiting the number of patients tonight or convene a stakeholder group to try to come up with a compromise.

Much thanks

Much thanks JWH, I wish I could have been there but my back would not allow it. Thanks to Paco too and movado for the westword link.

8:49 p.m.: A motion to define "caregiver" as someone who cleans your house OR makes you food OR drives you places OR gets you marijuana passed. So basically, all a caregiver would have to do is provide medical marijuana. The crowd cheered loudly. Someone whistled.

yes they did away the 5 patients per caregiver motion!!!

lots of cheering for the last few amendments that failed

9:05 p.m.: The board corrected a typo. The hearing is (hopefully) winding down after twelve hours. People are leaving. TV cameras are chasing them.

Voting is over, the notary portions both passed 9-0, however as noted the 5 patient limit was voted down, and the caregiver definition was favorably amended and passed. Homeward bound.

Crap...Oh well, just one more hoop to jump through...At least they didn't pass the 5 patient limit or the bullshit definition. That would've screwed a lot of people...

My buddies mom is a notary, won't mind seeing her every time I need to have something notarized. Do we have to pay the fee to change caregivers? It won't matter at dispensaries because they don't send their paperwork in, just keep it on file.
