Dix: I'm running 2 400w HID's in a closet, with two duct fans from Home Depot blowing air out from the top, passive intake is only through the gaps around and inbetween the closet doors (folding double doors). Ideally I would have an active intake but temps are ok so long as the ambient room temp is 75 or lower... I also have two fans blowing on the plants themselves for circulation, I feel that's important to keep them cool.

PC: That Domina 13 is looking very frosty only a month into flowering. I'm sure with another month left it'll pack on plenty more crystals...

I have a gallon size glass jar filled halfway with 'Simple Green' cleaning solution, only $8 per gallon at Sams club...

I put my bowls, glass screens, diffusers and even my ashcatcher in the solution. 24 hours later, pull it out, rinse it with warm water, it's as clean as new.
The actual bong is still a bit dirty, lol, but the ashcatcher gets the worst of it...

Smoke1's Guts

This is my trail run of my attempt at, a vertical grow. Im tryin to go perpetual, harvesting the bottom tray, and the top one 30 days apart. And the six drip buckets are for my mango haze plants.

Still got some things to do to the system.
I gotta get my gutter guards on so i can suspend, the pots lil bit higher for one.

We will see what i can pull with the 400. Plus it looks like i could maybe squeeze another row in there. We will see how this run goes.

Smoke1: Your vertical setup looks good. I hope it yields well for you. Looks like there's enough room for a 1k in there, but I dont know your ventilation setup or if you want that much wattage...

DJXX: Lol, that would have been nice if I had half a gallon of honey oil. I was just thinking that the 'simple green' is no longer so green. Got dark from the dissolved resin but the glassware still comes out crystal clean...

Dontstep: Yeah, iso and salt is the old reliable. But this way is the lazy man's way: no shaking or stirring required, except for the tube. I'll still have to use iso and salt for the tube.
With the jar of simple green I swap out clean bowls every 3-4 days. My bowls, with the glass gauzes, tend to get gummed up with resin after 5-6 hits; they still hit well after that, but the airflow is noticeably decreased... and I like my hits hard and fast. :rasta:

whats up midwest growers, been lurking for awhile and soaking up a ton of info, until i found this thread. You all have some good lookin plants. I cant have an indoor grow going atm, but once it cools down i have 5 blue cheese beans and 1400 watts that im dying to start up again. Hopefully i can start set up again and i will have some questions for yah.

That devil coco coir was my original set up in a 4x4 ebb and flow, but that stuff makes me want to pull my hair out, so im probably going to try to go rockwool and hydroton? suggestions on what to run would be appreciated. i would even consider drip feeding or anything, i just cant do the coco from seed it just wouldnt work for me. thats all i can think of for now.

keep it green

I was thinking the same thing BF but I just put 4 plants into flower. 2 others will be ready for Harvest in about a month. Nothing germinating yet. Starting 4 or 6 seeds any day now. I've got most of the stuff for a complete rebuild, just need the 4 x 8 foot high gloss panels.

If I keep is simple it will be a 4 by 6 by 7 foot tall closet with sliding door.
It's the best grow room option for me.

Not sure if anything took outdoors. I don't think there has been 10 days over 80 degrees this year.

There are some big patches of 8-foot plus hemp plants in northern Indiana, also left over from WWII. I got excited the first time I saw it. But if you ever smoke it, you get over that pretty fast. It's nothin but ditchweed.

Not tall is good for stealth. 25 years ago I had a buddy who grew outdoors. He had one that got chowed on by a rabbit or deer or something down to about 8". He let it go and it came back. Real short, real dense, and it smoked good.

Jelly: A few years later, in college, I came across a kid who filled garbage bags in one of those old WWII fields. Somewhere near the ethanol plant in S. Bend. You are right you would only smoke that shit once, and then only if desperate. Part of why we do this...right.

Big: I was wondering the same thing. I was thinking of putting my last harvest outside to re-veg and then bloom.

My big worry is the plants are used to a bubbling bucket. Will they take in dirt.

I've been thinking of experimenting more with dirt. Been thinking of trying 5 20oz. pop bottles in a bucket to catch runoff. Stay away from the hemp fields. Unless to conceal?

Dix- Yeah, that's the general region I'm talking about. I was one of those kids with a garbage bag (this was back in the 70's). If I would've got caught with a couple garbage bags of that stuff back then, they would've locked me up forever. I didn't even know a male from a female plant back then, lol. Just cut it down, stuff it in the bag and run away! Good times!

It's more than one field. There are fields and patches of wild/feral you-know-what from Crawfordsville all the way north to the Dunes. Where I'm talking about is about 50-60 miles east of Crete-Monee.
