ignoring hazy is very silly IMO he knows his cocco and much more :joint:

Im not ignoring him and he has already said he doesnt have experience with autoflowers. Im not looking for an argument or debate here, Im looking for friendly helpfull advice and i apreciate his input.

I need help quick. Just checked my plant. Its a week old and after reading so much about run off i watered my plant untill i saw water running out the bottom of the pot. that was 3 hours ago. Now it has lots of tiny white bits all over the top of the coco coir. It looks like salt but i dont know how because i havnt used nutes yet. Could it be my coco coir wasnt flushed before i bought it?

Yes this is a problem, I would recommend maybe doing a flush of PH balanced water, and CalMag, Every coco even though its flushed should still have a flush of cal mag and water. I did not ever flush mine cause i didnt know, and i had some problems, I ended up having to use cal mag once a week, I would recommend this, use as recommended, or a bit stronger, ease it up.

Its all good dude. Thanks for the advice. What does calmag actualy do?

both are essential nutrients. Coco is a calcium robber, it needs more because most nutrients arent based on coco and don't have the calcium and mag that coco needs.

Learn something new everyday. Thanks

this is why u should use a quality coco that doesnt need pre rinsing i.e canna or bcuzz, then use a coco specific nutrient ,this way u dont get any cal mag deficencies ,

I should be all good then because im using bcuzz coco substrate with Bio Nova Coco nutes. Cheers

yeah you good to go ,,,

has the auto flowerer started flowering yet ?
how old is the plant now ?

Its showing lots of white hairs but nothing much else happening. Checked the calander and its 40 days from seed. Apart from the odd leaf being munched it seems healthy enough. Its now semi indoors and iv not noticed any more of the leaves dissapearing. Hopefully iv got rid of the buggers.

Although this would seem like its true, I don't believe it to be true, Like i said, I used 100 percent washed loose coco fiber, already rinsed and everything, but you still need to either rinse with cal mag it or use cal mag with your feeding schedule once a week. but don't take my word for it, just watch your plants and use IC's sick plant guide to see if its either cal or mag deff because this and PH were one of my problems.

anyway just my experiences, the best way to learn is just to watch what the plants do and try different things till they're happy plants :)

my first coco grow i added about 25 percent compost and some powdered dolimite lime, i did have what looked like a little cal mag issue during the first 1-5 days of the seedling stage and then my plants took of, make sure u use a nute with cal mag added to it, im useing floranova bloom the whole way through with a hit of fish emulsion here or there for more N and my plants are thriving- with coco u have to be on top of your watering game more then soil-
