FA day.... no big moves yet. Congrats to the Flames for getting Boumeester. Looks like Heatley will be an Oiler by this time tomorrow. Habs got Gomez, he's good. Wonder where Hossa will go this time? turned down a 10 yr offer from Detroit, but he could sign a shorter one and stay.

CheerI've always been an Oilers and Leafs fan, but I hope a Canadian team takes the cup for once!
I was surprised the Flames didn't take that Chicago series, really good team. Blackhawks were also quite a few years since a cup win though, I think the last was with Eddie the Hawk.
Great to see that Detroit was defeated, they've had a few more cups than the average team, last for Pittsburgh was like in '92 with Jagr and Lemieux I think.

GO WINGS!! I'm near Toronto but i wouldn't be caught dead cheering for the leafs. now that Chicago is a bit older and has Hossa I see a very nice western conference rivalry between the two teams for some time to come. cant wait till the regular season starts.

Id say that Chicago is weaker in 09/10 than in 08/09. there is a young core of guys that are only going to continue to fully develop which is good. I'm looking forward to the season already. I'm liking the Canucks chances now that we are truly in the salary cap era now.
Gotta check in for this one...Im not canadian but Im huge NHL fan from Finland...Go Hawks, next year they will be one hell of a hockey team...Take care and all the best my canadien friends
