OBTW - whose beans are those darkstars? Me & the internet came up empty.

dark star is their cross ( a contract grower) of Sour D and sensi star. the pheno i sampled was a perfect indica example of diesel. if that makes sense.
The straw haze was good, but the high left me wanting more.

And for the OGK being mislabeled, oh well it happens all the time, just look around these boards. I told the guy IMO it was a hindu/OG at best had a ver y hashy flavor yet not MUCH of the OGK taste and smell.

Has anyone seen Hong kong around? I am looking...

Wow, I'm amazed you know about Hong Kong. I just got one today from a friend, I have it in seed as well. Easy to pick out of my whole veg room.

You're right about that... although I know I've never mislabeled anything of mine. I've seen them do it in front of me too. It's kind of a bummer, but I guess that's the reality of things.

dude you got hong kong!?!
I have been looking for that plant since 2000-
that was the last time i saw it in denver, or anywhere for that matter.
It used to be grown by a collective in FC, boulder, and denver.
rumor was in FC it was being grown underneath the first New Belgium Brew op same group that came up with the Cough.
Those guys used to sell buds that were so tacky that you press a bud to a wall a peel smaller nugs off.
Any way the hong kong has a great taste and high, exceptional to be honest. grow those seeds, and see if you can't find a cut to pass around....

It was given to me as Kong, but I'm sure it's the same thing if you're excited about it. From the description of the finished plant from the guy I got the cut and seeds from was fascinating. Can't wait to see how much truth it all holds. It's very obviously different from all my other strains though.

I was planning on growing this one cut into a mother, then flowering a cut off her to see what it turns out with. If it's what it's supposed to be, it will be going around. Don't worry.

MHM, I will test that and let you know if it's the real deal or not lol! :rasta:

As soon as I get my camera working I'll take a picture of it and you can see what you think.

Also, has anyone here tried The Kind Room in Denver? Any comments or observations about it?

Take care everyone ,
WHAB

I was at the Kind Room a couple years ago (been a registered patient for 3 years) when they were out on Wadsworth. Selection was weak. Only selling 1/4 oz. max back then. Did get an awesome blueberry clone for $15.

I understand they have moved locations. Maybe near Broadway or Bellview? There is a phone number on their website.

Was anyone else around when the first CO dispensary opened up? Colorado Compassion Club? It was a bit different than the big dispensaries around today.

I went to the CCC a few times way back when, I got tired of the wet/uncured product real fast and moved on.

Also been to the Kind Room a few times before they moved, super nice people but a small selection of meds most of the time, nice clones the few times i looked.

these two threads are strating to melding into one. maybe someone will sticky this when we start to have more folks on board.
The kind room had a really nice cut of strawberry cough two years ago.

I think a sticky would be nice, I've noticed us Coloradans have been turning out in force, 2nd only to the Cali patients. :joint: Paco, is that cut still working its way through the scene?

i know one guy who might still have it and be willing to circulate it. but i havent seen it in a while tho.

That'd be cool. I've never tried Strawberry Cough, growing or smoking. Heard many good things about it though...

ya sticky! sticky! I want to hear from my fellow colo growers. About things like the clone scene, dispensaries, laws, members, strains, etc. We got two threads swapping the same conversations in here among the same members (i do need to get my posts up!), but what's the next steps for us to take to get more like cali? Is it the members, or the clubs, or the dispensaries? Or all of the above? Are we allowed to organize our own meetings/clubs?

Personally I'd like to share a strain I have in seed form with my fellow growers here, kinda like the O.G.A. guys did on here. Amongst their co-op they've developed some nice beans.

[sarcasm]Oh, you must have visited on Tuesday! Wednesday's selection was overly dried, crispy crap. Thursday's were even better...nasty burning meds with a distinct taste of fertilizer.[/sarcasm]

We had the SC as a local strain for a few years. It might still be around in our extended circle.

Liked to have a joint mixed with SC and BB. Like fruit salad, haha. :joint:

Haha, yeah I noticed that to muggs... same convo, over lap, back and forth.

:yeahthats :yeahthats Yes, you do. :yeahthats :yeahthats

Discussing meeting people in open forums is against the rules, I believe. Now, what happens in private messages....That is another matter entirely... :joint:
