Looks like mag but not sure if its the lights

Im having problems with these plants they were really green until I threw em under the 1ks after about a week under them they started yellowing up heres the specs followed by pictures.


How long has this problem been going on? About 3 weeks

What is the Water temperature? 75f in rez
What color are your roots? White and very healthy
What Nutrient's are you using?Floranova grow
How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? 1 +1/2 cups of nova grow to 53 gallons of ro water
How often are you feeding? 4 times lights on
How often are you giving nutrients? Topping off every 2 or 3 days
If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients? not yet
What order are you mixing your nutrients? (example: veg nutes 1st, bloom 2nd ect) water then nutes
What is the TDS/EC/PPM you are using? 1000 ppm
What is the pH of the "Tank"? Its been staying around 6.0 to 6.2
Are you sure your calibration is correct on your equiptment? I calibrate every week
When was your last watering? At noon today

Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ? It sucking threw a can filter 50lbs pushing threw the lights and then another fan is pulling at the end of the run to exit the room. I have a 30inch x 10inch passive intake.
Is the fan blowing directly at plants? yes
Is your water HARD or SOFT? hard
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis
Are you using water from a water softener? no
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned off of or pinched
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so, What and When? I cloned last week and then found thrips Thursday I shot the plants with montery insect spray with spinosad the thrips are dead and gone for now.
Are plant's infected with pest's not right now I killed the bastards(thrips)

See how the ones on the outside of the light are looking better then the ones in the middle.

I was vegging them under 2 400watt mh in a 3x6 botanicare tray top feed and they were fine when I popped em in the ebb buckets after about a week they started this yellowing. Ive read up on every thing and it drives me crazy I find so many different opinions it makes me sick. The thread I read that made the most sense was about light burn that looked like mag def. The plants that are effected the worst are the ones in the middle row right under the lights. Today I moved the lights up to 4 ft above the plants and then I gave them a light foliar spray with cal mag plus and I also braught the ph daown to 5.3. I want to put these girls in to flower now I just dont want to put un healthy plants in to bloom so I would like some thing to fix this fast there getting to big.

I have had similar problems w/ the ebb & grow system under 600 watt hps. I raised the lights, dropped nutes, raised nutes, pulled my hair out trying to diagnose the problem. Finally, I started to wander if the system or rubber 1/2" line was off gassing like the old hydro huts. I never had the problem w/ the white buckets the system used come with. It was only after I bought a few more of their systems at which point the system came w/ the new smaller black buckets you are using.

Easiest way to tell is by looking under the upper canopy. If the leaves immediately under the upper canopy are healthy, it's the lights. Take a look at the following link.

Sorry to hog the thread , thought Cal/Mag Def ppl will have a look here

not sure if it looks the same as your condition though....

This is what my leaves look like from Cal/Mag Def........or put it this way, Epsom salts fix this condition....Foilar spray with...+-1 teaspoon / 500ml

But what i,d like to know from ppl using Epsom salts.....
How much Epsom salt do you add to the Res to fix the tap water...?????/

I never heard of plastic bucket contamination and them aint the ones that come with the system I got them from a plastic company and drilled em out myself and for the 1/2 lines aint them made for hydro its the eco plus 1/2 inch lines. If this is the problem then Im fuc ed royally because I dont want to rip apart the entire system I think Im gonna ride it out on that one. Im gonna have to look a little closer on the plants to determine the light bleaching. I did see some of the new growth under the canopy inside the middle of the leave it was turning yellow I hope I can fix this quick I have to put them in to flower by Friday no matter what to hit my dead line for the crop to finish.

Have you tried adding Cal-Mag? Could be that your plants that are directly under the lights are using more nutes than those on the outer edges. More light means they will be able to utilize more nutrients, to an extent of course.

What kind of lights did you say you're using now?

Richy there no root slime or rot the roots are happy as could be. I add a little aquashield for safe measures.
Mint Im using 1k hortilux super hps bulbs. Im gonna try topping off the res with the calmag tomorrow and see if that helps.
I keep reading 2 different things on the ph. Is the mag better consumed at 6.0 or down in the 5.5 range. Seems theres a lot of different opinion on that. Ive never seen this be for with this strain Ive grown it out at least five times in dwc.

Start off in the lower end of that range...let it drift up to 6. Rinse and repeat.

Thats what I try to do 5.5 to 6.2 then I bring it back down. I read that its good to start at 5.2 tho I never tried it that low.

i have what looks to be almos the same thing im thinking that floranova doesnt have enough mg?

i had my ph at 5.8-6.0 and when the mg def started i had it at 6 for a few days

then ithey got worse so i lowered the ph to 5.5 they got better then i lowered it to 5.3 they look better now but are still progressing a tiny bit in the mg def im running it at 1300 now 1400 since yesterday no tip burn

im thinking im going to foliar with epsom

id love to know how your plants are doingin a few days

Well I topped of the rez today with water and added calmag 150 ppm a total of 1000 ppm I also braught the ph down to 5.3 . My plants did the same as yours Dr.G my ph was staying around 6 ish I think that was the problem to high of ph to long.

Well I was thinking of that but I already have a tiny bit of tip burn now. Im gonna check em in the morning and see if they look any better if not Im gonna up the nutes a little. But come friday the flip is on 12/12 no matter what.

What parameters have changes if you are growing the same strain? Nutes, lights, system, etc.?

Well I ll try bumping up the ppms today and see what happens. As for whats different, its the entire room. This is a new room but the real difference is the system usually I grow them in dwc or rdwc this system is the ebb & grow I like the system I just think I need to find that sweet spot on the ppm.

Oh, that means a lot of things have changed. The environment, room, has to be dialed in. At first, I was under the impression that everything was the same. You have some dialing in to do. Good luck.

Ya but I ve grown it in 3 different rooms be for with great results every time. I keep a steady temp at most 81 f 45 rh good circulation every thing is right on target with how it was grown in the other rooms. They are looking better tho greening up slowly I pop up some pics of there progress as they go.

Well they seem to not be getting any worse Im gonna go ahead and put them in to flower tomorrow. Oh ya Dr.G my ppm meter is a .5 conversion.

Thanks for any help I have my ppms at 1200 and my ph is at 5.6 so if anybody has any more advise it would be great.
