First time grower

I am looking into attempting my first indoor hydro operation. I'm only trying to do a one plant operation for now, as I have limited space available. I'm thinking of doing a closet operation w/ a small Water Farm hydro system and a LED GlowPanel by Sunshine-Systems.

I'm wondering if anyone here has used a GlowPanel light before or a Water Farm hydro system. Also, what would be the best strain to use for a small closet operation with a decent yield and high potency? I was thinking of obtaining some White Widow from a few online vendors, but I am very sceptical with the current state of National Security and what-not.

Has anyone from the states had positive results; if so, which vendor?

If anyone has any advice or whatever it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have any knowledge of the led growpanels, but the waterfarm system is a good system. Have you considered a DWC. For one plant I would look at getting a 10 gal rubbermaid tub. Throw a couple of air stones in it and you would grow a huge plant. I couldn't believe how fast and big my plants grew in my dwc. I have evolved my system though into a RDWC with seperate buckets for each plant. It made it easier to remove the males. Good luck and you won't be dissappointed with either the waterfarm or DWC.

cool. thanks for the info. i'm curious about lighting... i noticed in some of your pics that your lighting varied. i was thinking of getting a 150W sun system HPS. that's what my local hydroponic vendor recommended instead of the LED system.

my main worry/concern about growing is a.) obtaining a good strain worth my time and effort and b.) the odor that the plants will generate. i'm thinking of using an arm & hammer air filtration system. anybody know if baking soda is an effective odor eliminator?

also, does anyone have a decent strain of seeds lying around? i'm pretty leery of purchasing seeds from a vendor.

Go with a Simple DWC and that 150 HPS should be good.... If your space is really small you might want something with less heat.... especially because you want the water in the DWC to remain cold... and water chillers are expensive.

Oh. and seeds... Use the seedbank sponsors on this website... or..

Go where I went. I live in CO and had no problems with shipping... it took 7 days. google attitude seed bank.... you can read about all of the types... I went autoflower for my first run because I wanted a QUICK batch... but you can get some GNARLY strains online.

I've used waterfarms with some veggies and had great results. Setup is easy and cleaning the bucket is easy. The drip rings can get a little clogged w/ salt but it cleans up w/ ease as well. I've not tried DWC yet so I can't really compare. Good luck!!!
I've heard about attitude seed bank also and am planning to use them on my next grow.

In all my years of growing there is one thing I have learned that is essential.....

If your going to do something,DO IT RIGHT!

Is this grow going to be in a cab or closet or room?What is the foot print of said grow space and what are the temperatures?How many sq/feet are we working with and how many cubic feet?

Break it down to us man,what are the specifics of the grow ie; size of grow space in square feet and cubic feet,how many plants.

For the money they cost,stay away from those LED's.

Once you break it down for us we can tell you how much lighting and what kind to use aswell as what you'll need to do for ventilation and cooling needs.

If you live in the States don't do it unless you live in a legal state and you lave a license. Seeds capable of germination are illegal in all states where possession is illegal. Its also still illegal to possess under Federal Law.

So if your buying seeds online buy from a country or state where its legal and be sure your legal in the state or province you are in to possess it.
