Great work Gunnar. My plants will also be corn field bound very soon. The fields seem to be far and few this year.. There just isnt very many folks growing corn this year! I have found a few possible fields but I still have a lot of hunting to do.. The corn also seems very small for this time of year. I was planning on going in the first week in JULY, but it all depends on how high the corn is by then.. Around here, they say, knee high by 4th of JULY, but I just dont see how..
The strains that will be going in are
Nepalese
Nepalse X Purple Pakistan
Cheese X erdpurt X b3n7erdpurt/Royal Dane
Guerilla Gold X DP f3's
Cheese X DP X b3n7erdpurt/Royal Dane
:woohoo:
I may also try to slip in a few of the older clones I have, into the later fields. (White Widow, Cherry AK-47, Blue Mystic, Jorge's Diamonds, Caramelicous X WW, PPP X Euphoria, AK X Strawberry Diesel.. These plants have been going since Jan. SO they should flower a bit sooner than the rest.

So far the largest of the group are my Nepalese and Nepalese X P. Paki. The others have just began to sprout or are in there first month of veg.

I wish u the best of luck for the rest of the year, GUNNAR. And be safe in the fields, man!

Gunnar, it's hard to believe some are already in the corn, what with all of the lead in anticipation. No doubt you've already put in some long hours with many long hours to come, but I can't even begin to fathom how large a harvest you will have. immaculate said it pretty good about getting an adrenaline rush from reading this log - I couldn't agree more. Dude, I'm completely pumped for you! Continued good luck, my friend!

more news from the front line of prohibition

its hard work to bring seeds and good hash to all those ppl out there who defies the stupid anti cannabis laws ( which will hopefully fall soon)

for me its pure passion
the love of doing the most honest job ive ever had
also its a savior for me as ive been fighting bills and bankruptcy for years
but going to jail and in there finding the old love of my youth have changed my life to the better doing the best and most honest job ive ever had is just pure pleasure

defiance against stupid governments and their even more stupid cannabis laws has become my mission

cannabis is the lifesavers of many either its for pain relief or to enjoy and relax
and even though its its far less "dangerous" then our governments sponsored alcohol and tobacco its still outlawed as a drug and ppl who bring us seeds, pot and hash often has to work underground and risk jail to grow the herb

well if its so
let it be so

no government can tell me that growing that lovely green herb is wrong
if caught the jail time might stop me from growing when behind bars
but as long as im a free person ill grow what ever amount and strain it suits me

seems like i forgot from last year how much time in total for each plant transplanted
maybe cause i didnt do many plants in each field last year

maybe because i was optimistic
well it seems it might take longer to get them out there than expected but each one will be out there for sure!

the day 2 nights ago i started transplanting the Early danes ( some 11 cardboard trays with 132 plants)
thought i could do it in one night so i packed the car with 6 crates
i planted 3 trays and then sunlight was getting stronger so i had to leave the other 3 trays out there
this night i returned with a friend and we brought 5 more crates and managed to get the 3 earlier one and the 5 new ones all in soil

heres a few pix from the night when we had finished and some 30 minutes before lights
starts to get so strong that we cant work there anymore and stay hidden

to night im going out again with 6 crates
only expecting to plant more than 3-4 of them though

to complicate things further than just taking more time than expected i found Powdery Mildew in the greenhouse
ive seen the spots for some time but not thought more of it
but now they have grown in numbers and i saw a plant all attacked so now its time to fight it before it gets to much widespread

mostly plants from one cross seems to be hit so far so its time to fight it before too late

one of my c99 moms are attacked on the lower parts so she will get a shave and spray

most plants are still looking very good and growing very good in the new warm period
that has hit us here recently
i hope it lasts

a lot of work is due in the next time
im fighting time here as we will have full moon on 7/7 and before that the moon will start to shine more and more and the safety of the darkness will be limited
moon isnt expected to fade again before like 15 of July so its vital to get as much plants out in the fields ass possible before having to have a break from transplanting and in the mean time the plants might grow very big in the GH meaning less stealth and more work when transporting

well, lots of work ahead but damn i love the work
i love the adrenalin rush of the nightly mission
just the thought of all those big beauties ill inspect in there in a month or 2 and the piles of plants ill be dragging from there in end September

Stay tuned, safe and green

Gunnar:

What is your transportation technique when it comes to carrying plants?

Been using these rubbermaid flats and they only hold 11 tops, at that rate it took hours to transport several flats just 2/3 mile. You've got the same sized starts approximately, just mine are in grow bags instead.

I believe seed is the only way to go but cloning moderate sized branches and placing freshly rooted cuts in the same sized space, numbers would literally quadruple.

Unfortunately there aren't that many corn fields around here, although seem to have found a play ground that could be suited for a similar projects.

tnx for all the good vibes
makes up for all the hard work currently being done and a lot more awaits

Kallen:
he he yes
it must be a sight for gods but i hope one is watching when it actually takes place
most of the work is down on knees and ass up :)

#1cheesebuds:
when giving unfertilized water i just hook up with tap water and a garden hose with a spray nozzle
i need to buy a spray nozzle that are prolonged soon as its back hurting to water those far away without it, but im a little broke in these crizis times ot it will hopefully be soon
when giving them fertilizer i fill a drum and mix liquid fertilizer and hook up the hose with a pump

Esbe:
yes they have started being transplanted but as it taking longer than expected i dont think they will all be out there before end july or so
well they grow big in greenhouse before that but its a problem with stealth and transport
a maniac just crashed his Porsche i read in the papers here
he crashed to far away from where i was working so i didnt hear the crash but i saw him pass the corn field where i was working several times with at least 200 km pr hour
and when i was going home there was several police cars passing in high speed also with flashing lights on
also there was a techno party near by with loud music so i wasnt bored even though i was working alone in the middle of a corn field

dazednconfused:
in an update a few days ago you clearly sees the cardboard trays i use that hold 12 plants each

much work remains with transplant as it takes longer than i expected in these numbers
i thought i could do 6 trays each night but 3 and maybe 4 at max is the limit and im fighting time as we have full moon coming here soon
much work in daylight here also
im removing the early Royal Dane x Erocket/Danish passion males as they are just starting to brake open
ive saved 3 selected males that will be moved for pollen picking later
they started to flower some weeks ago so that pollen is to valuable for future breeding project to just waste
also many females from that cross and others are starting to flower now
damn i just love all that early stuff

i also want some early pot from the indoor stuff currently growing in the greenhouse so my my next project is making a dark chamber inside the GH
there ill be making some kind of removable walls, i think with black n white plastic and some plates
ill also put a dehumidifier working there at night and some electric ventilation
just in case cause theres still some humidity at night although the temperatures at night are starting to get a lot warmer these days

ill be flowering the indoor clones i have more than 1 mother from
so its probably going to be a greenhouse 12/12 sensimilla grow with Cheese, Sweet Skunk, SSSDH, Fat Russian, Sour Diesel, happy brother and others
ill take some more clones soon and add these to the 12/12 when they have rooted
i currently only have one Amnesia Haze mother so i need to clone her before being able to grow her out but im looking forward to the smoke

working at home a days and in the fields at night this is actually these days more than a full time job
but the best and most honest job ive ever had
it almost gives me a booner when done for the night just watching the rows of newly planted cannabis in the corn
im pretty sure ill have a premature ejaculation when i go visit them just before harvest
dont worry ill take video of it ( not the ejaculation though ;) )

expect a picture update later today or tomorrow at latest

stay tuned, green and safe

Be really carefull of the powdery mildew!! I had a few tiny spots starting then I went away for a few days and when I came back my veg room was infested and it got so bad that a sulphur burner was pretty ineffective. It ended up killing several of my 2 foot early seed starts and crippling a few others. Now that they are all outside things are looking healthy again, but be careful!
Good luck with the grow, looking amazing!

yes the PM sucks
i made some changes in the first fields as to which cross to use as secondary to get pollinated by the Early Danes

i choose the cross that had most PM as i needed it out of the greenhouse so that theres less other infested plants to treat and also because from what ive read and heard the PM should go away once they are out in the fields with less humidity, more wind and all day sun
the worst affected cross was the MM x b7n3/erdpurtxroyal dane
not that i think it had bad resistance against pm but the attack started there and spread from there mostly as plants are close together

now one field is complete
only 7 to go now :)
got the last 3 crates with MM x b7n3/erdpurtxroyal dane out in the field

corn in that field ranges from 30 to 50 cm
pix where taken at the lower places though but the last crate i put in had surrounding corn at about 50 cm
i planted between rows but in some areas the rows where very irregular with many corns in between rows
those where removed and in same cases my big fat ass also destroyed some in surrounding rows but in total the damage is minimal and i brought in a lot of pellet fertilizer so the surrounding corn will also benefit from it and the farmer wont ever now i borrowed some of his land

the MM x b7n3/erdpurtxroyal dane when buried deep is now lower than the corn but since they had a lot of pellet fertilizer added i think they will start taken of within a few days when they have "settled in"

notice i dont plant between each row but always leave one open
thats for easier inspection later looking for males, adding fertilizer etc
then i wont have to press trough a narrow space in a row with both canna and corn
making inspection, adding fertilizer and harvest easier
also i dont get wet from dew ;)

next field will be with Danish Passion
then Royal Danes and from there depending on size also

secondary strains and crosses will be filled in later, also depending on wishes for crosses but also taking size and other things into consideration
theres like 20 MM x b7n3/erdpurtxroyal dane not being moved into the fields as they where to small and slow growing
not worth breeding on or the work of the transplant but they will get a nice little spot at home to finish in and since ill have better time there to feed them etc, they might end up decent in size anyway

they said a little rain might be coming the next days but if its not to bad and not at night ill start on the Danish passion tomorrow night

stay tuned, green and safe

It is not my thead or place to say so, but in my opinion plants outside do much better than indoors, hands down. If you plant in numbers and numerous places your chances are better and your complete crop loss risk are lower for plant problems compared to indoors.

Yeah I don't do any indoor growing for that reason, I just like to start my seedlings under a 600w for a few months of veg so I can grow them to around 2ft tall before I put them outside in the late spring. It's too cold to start them outdoors any earlier and our season is pretty short so starting them indoors is the best way to go for me. If I could, I would have a greenhouse like GunnarGuchi does to get my seedlings out earlier, but I can't so I have to settle for the next best thing, a 600w MH...
Anyways, back to the show...keep up the good work!

Congrats on getting a field planted... I knew this would take a lot of hours labor... Its a logistical game... I know the feeling....:)

Keep up the green work, my friend! :)

Yeah gratz on getting the first ones out.
I was supposed to do a lot of planting this weekend including preparing a super nice spot I found last week but only got 6 out - I simply got too lazy, hehe. At least the little ones are still vegging ok in their small pots but they definitely have to go out next weekend.
Gonna be exciting to see how big plants can get when we're out this late - yours have a nice head start though, while mine are only 10-20cm tall now.

you sure are working you ass off mate.. Hows the digging in that soil since i havent rained for some while now? i bet its a bit harder, or hows is it in a corn field?
You should fight Pm or else it returns later on the same plants.

Peace
