Alternative cheap Jack Herer: who's got the best?

Hi,

I would like to try some Jack Herer, but Sensi Seeds sells it too expensive... I'm more leaning to the Mother's Finest pheno, and MF is way cheaper but still, it has the same price as Kali Mist, which to me is expensive as well. Also, as far as I've read, Sensi quality got worse in recent years, while for Serious Seeds you hear KM is in some way worse than the "pre-98" version but everybody says Serious keeps being really a top notch company, if you buy Serious seeds 98% of the times you get really satisfied.
Now I know that a version of Jack Herer is provided by at least:
- Nirvana
- Homegrown Fantaseeds
- Karma Genetics
- GHS (soon)
And they are cheap enough for what I like.
My question is: Have you grown any of such JH? How good were they? Would you recommend them or weren't you impressed? Which breeder, all in all, has the better reputation?
I believe probably Karma's version is the best... it's the one I'm more interested of, anybody to comment on it?

yea karmas jack is the shit.

fair bit of gene variation, but all the phenos kick ass. i wouldnt recommend either nirvana or homegrown, if you want the strongest jack out there, karmas is very very good jack.

and i wouldnt recommend the blood sucking, mass media, maketing phenomenon that is..........green house seeds. because imo arjan is a silly little money man that would sell his own mother, if it persuaded people to buy his either stolen or uninspired crap, all my opinion, but i think quite a few ppl agree. and you dont seem to see anyone using gh's "strains" in their crosses, how funny???

Yeah, in fact I quoted GHS version just for sake of completeness... I mean they are not terrible seedmakers, I've tried their Hawaiian Snow and it's good, and about Super Lemon Haze many people are telling that it is awesome quality, although it is feminized only.
I believe that as long as you get their own original strains and there are some nice reports, their seeds are fairly cheap and can be a good grow, if the original breeder is somebody else or it is the S1 of a clone only, I'm not very excited by their products.
Happy to know Karma is good, anybody else had different experiences, also with Nirvana and HGF?
The better things about the latter two is I can get them locally, for Karma's Jack I'd have to go through Seedbay, so if I get good comments on those, maybe I could opt for them, though Karma to me seemed the best from the start.

Yes Karma's anything is the shit but JH is not stable so a fair bit of variation yes.

Rez uses a GHS SSH for crosses, not a MNS version. Shanti was happy to work with Arjan for years, now Mr Nice charge $200+ for some strains, GHS $70.... do please tell us why the latter is a "bloodsucker" I can tell you for a fact that plenty of GHS strains are excellent.

Nirvanas version yields a lot but potency variates some from each pheno
all finishes in 9-10 weeks though with good yields

only heard good about karmas version but havent tried it

GHS version isnt out yet but i strongly dislike GHS so i wouldnt waste a dime getting it
Arjan is a greedy money maker who gives a f@ck about any cannabis genetics
its just names for him to cash in on


havent tried HFS so i cant tell

Sensi's version is told be be very good, but havent tried it either

Man, I've seen photos of that breeder's JH and those colas are unbelievably HUGE, I can't believe it!

If Karma's is fifty-fifty Sensi and this other one, it must be dope, and Karma's costs 40 Euros as well...

I believe the best option is either to go two packs of Nirvana's or one of Karma's, first option means more work and possibly many "runts" to be killed (and maybe no outstanding plant), the second, I always feel like ten seeds are not enough when there is pheno variability... but actually probably prefer the second option.

Does Karma have a good stock of seeds so I can buy them any day of the year, or are they like Rez and Head, one day they are up, the day after all sold out?

Do you know if you can combine shipping from seedbay and seedboo to minimize postal inspection issues? If I buy now, there should be a lot of Kali Most on seedbay and that too must be awesome.

Yes karmas jack is instock now and ive seen it up there for a while not up one day then sold the next so u should be cool...

And you cant combine shipping with seedboo and seedbay and no need to worry about postal inspection issues the way they package it is very stealth ive never had a problem ordering from both SB's...

@Movingtarget: Man those plants look awesome too! Still, as far as I know, Jock isn't exactly the same as Jack, the parental lineage is the same but some males and females are inverted...

Does anybody know what are the exact lineages (also in term of male vs female) Jack Herer, Jock Horror and SSH are composed of?

@Benji: good to know about stealth packaging, I've always tried to avoid to have things shipped (I prefer buying with cash at a growshop), but if you tell me that, next order is going to be at Seedboo, great prices, you get breeders which don't distribute elsewhere and also free beans

Seeing things like this makes my head hurt. Rez does use a GHS SSH in his crosses, BUT it is from back when Shanti (Mr. Nice Seedbank) was running the show for GHS in the 90s. Also, for the record, the most expensive Mr Nice strain that I know of is SSH which is 180ish USD on Seedboutique, and those packets come with at least 18 seeds, compared to the 10 that most others give (including Greenhouse). I don't doubt their strains are good....what most people hate on them for is their marketing methods i.e. marketing a Trainwreck strain that bears little to no resemblance to Trainwreck.

As they advertise, I've heard it's far and beyond any ripoffs. White Label is Sensi's "ripoffs" company where they copy other peoples work.

As for GHS how do they make seeds when shanti has all the old clones????
Seems green house has to use seed stock were as shanti has the old clones from back in the day.

It would appear that's what they do, I have no idea though.

Rez has said their Neville's Haze is the original stock.
