Taking the vitamin Lecethin, that you can buy at wall mart, or wal-greens will help memory fuction. I have tested it with enough people as well as my self, to see that it is not a placebo effect.

It also lowers your tolorance to weed, and makes you remember your dreams. It also makes the dreams you have much more vivid.

It also improves general brain fuction. and is a natural vitamin that can be extracted from soy.

I guess It is like a brain cleanser. You can take up to 1200 mg daily. I only take 800, and it works great.

has anyone esle tried this? If not I encourage you to. If you have weird alergies always check with your doctor first before taking something daily.

It actually never did the tolorance lowering for me.

The above really tells us nothing without knowing your tolerence levels.

I take 3200 mg of 'triple strength' lecithin every day. It sure works for me as advertised. The triple strength pills are smaller and easier to swallow. 9600 mg of regular works in a pinch.

I take lecithin, but at one time did use 2,000 mg a day and I was trying to see if it would help tolorance. It is obviously good for you and perhaps it does reduce tolorance for some, but it did nothing for me in that field. Sorry, just giving you the truth.

i have used it in the past and think it helped, not only with tolerance but well-being in general...

You're still not providing any perspective. A person that has uses cannabis once or twice a week and won't notice any effect on tolerance. So, are you a wake and bake kind of guy? If so, how long?

Uhh.... I give my plants lecitin in my organic home-brewed teas... I wonder if i am lowering their tolerance... hehe sry couldn't help myself. I really do add lecitin to every fourth tea at about a pinch per 5 gallons.. take a tablespoon myself... w/e good times ...hehe!

im not a fan of soy as ive heard two cases(one of them i know well) of people getting cancer from ingesting too much soy.

there are alot of products made from soy, and which ones lead to prostate and colon cancer in men im not sure.

anyone have any more info on this? there was a wonderful article in wholife a few months ago.

When you say it cleans out your brain what do you mean? Is it similar to how DMT cleans out your brain and thinking processes? I ask because the only thing i have found to clean out your brain is DMT or high doses of psilocyn.

Does DMT really blow out the brain pipes? Do you make it yourself? I have never seen it. I am pushing 50 yrs old and have been using herb for med reasons for about 10 months. My wife say's I am more forgetful since I have been using weed.

I used to get that 'cleaned out' brain feeling from LSD. I expect I still would were I inclined to take it anymore. I think it was an illusive perception. More likely my brain had been stripped of neurotransmitters.

I think I'm going to try lechethin or ginko . No way am I doing LSD or pscilicybin. Tried that stuff 25 yrs ago, no freakin way.:yoinks:

For those of you trying it, the liquid you get in health food stores is more effective than the gel capsules.

It may be soy derived but it contains none of the estrogenic hormones associated with cancers.

It's a good source of inositol and phosphatadyl choline. The inositol is where I'm speculating reports of tolerance lowering are coming from. The simple explanation is it allows your dopamine and seratonin receptors to work more efficiently.

BTW, inositol powder used to be commonly used to cut cocaine because intranasal ingestion of the stuff gives the cocaine a better high and increases profit for the cutter. 75% cocaine/25% inositol feels better than 100% cocaine. Just an interesting tidbit. Some states regulated bulk inositol powder purchases for this reason.

good info there... inositol and choline are precursors to neurotransmitters... the lecithin provides an easy source of material for your body to use for manufacture when in need.

Another good thing to take is fish oil, it helps all medications work better by balancing your Omega3 to Omega6 fatty acid ratio in brain cells (our diet has become imbalanced in the last 100+ yrs because of modern ranching practices, i.e. grain fed vs. natural foraging). The walls of our brain cells are composed of thin layers of omega3 and omega6 fatty acids separated by a thin layer of cholesterol. For hundreds of thousands of years we ate a natural diet as hunter gatherers, it was not until a mere 5,000 to 8,000 years ago that we started converting to agrarian societies and began eating more and more grains and refined carbohydrates. It has not been long enough for our bodies to adapt to this change (heart disease, obesity, high blood pressure, arthritis, mental disorders... diseases of society)

Sorry for the rambling... I take a bunch of stuff that makes me feel better in general, and now in comparison... I think it helps me feel higher when I smoke too.

Lecithin
inositol
choline
fish oil/flax seed/hemp seed oil (if you can find the last... it has a good fatty acid ratio I believe)
vitamin E
B complex

It really takes about 2-4 months of regularly taking these to get full benefit

I personally would not take lecithin but focus on the active components phosphotidyl serine and phosphotidyl choline. They are expensive but these are the 'real' goodies in lecithin and as others have said it takes a bit before you really start to notice the benefit brain function wise.

As for the flax oil thing Udo's has the best product out there IMO. Udo's Choice contains the 'proper' blend/ratio of omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids. If those are out of whack/balance can actually cause some issues.

Generally agree with Greensub about the hunter/gatherer diet our genetics were developed on and not enough time in the last 10,000 or so years for these bodies to adjust to an agrarian based diet. Our general diet, especially recently in the 'modern' world, has changed way faster than we can adapt to.
