micro outdoor

hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone here has ever tried doing a micro grow outdoors? I know everyones gonna yell at me or some crap about it but whatever rules are meant to be broken. If anyone has attempted it i'd like to hear thoughts, concerns, grows, and what have you's.

I've seen someone grow in a large trash bin out on his deck. He removed the top so the sun would shine in. It didn't work out too well...

I like this idea though about micro growing outdoors...I can see somebody making a little tiny green-house and having much success. Try it!

I like the idea of micro outdoors too for the stealth aspect. I have a medical growing neighbor that the "someone" does regular helicopter fly bys of. The micro would keep risk to a minimum for a whole load of growers in different situations. Small containers and a whole lot of pruning would keep things tiny.

All I can think of would be autoflower plants. I mean if you let normal plants run a whole season, and you can't control the flowering size, they get pretty big man...

I guess someone could plant way late in the season to keep them small... maybe make the plants rootbound in tiny ass pots.

Yeah that's true, I didn't think about that, but both of those solutions would work.

I have not found a autoflower worth smoking yet. If you can afford it, they make a double dome greenhouse for 12/12 lights anytime Outdoors.

Yeah that's true, I didn't think about that, but both of those solutions would work.

I am not even sure they would work - just tossing out ideas. I have no idea how much a plant would stretch planted late in the season outdoors.

And yeah, I agree littlewing autoflowers suck.

Surprise visits from parents can be nice...but not when you have a basement full (like 30) of little weed plants haha. I had to throw them outside way early, but i put them in a shaded spot where they recieved very limited light, and they were rootbound because i didnt have time to transplant....so i forced them to flower! now they're almost done!

Oh boy this is my kind of thread! I did a lot of what I'd call outdoor micro. I used to veg in my computer and flower outdoors, then I added a 1 tonne cement bag with like 75 - 100 watts of cfl and that let me veg more, bigger. I used to carry all my pots out in the sun during the day and use pretty weak CFLs at night to keep in veg. It's the tropics so it's always flower time outside.

First attempt (vegged in pc)

A later attempt (vegged in pc, then cement bag cfls/sun)



It was in a 35 litre growbag which I buried so the total height above ground was 1.5 ft. I LST'd it very simply with 4 or 5 bits of string and tent pegs on day 1 of 12/12 (12/12 meaning left outside) The surrounding grass was 2ft and it got all day sun and nutes every day. It gave up 18 oz of immaculateness. It's not in the pics but right beside it was a tiny plant I got 1.8 grams off. Hehe.

Thanks man it was epic! It was funny because 20 metres behind the camera was my house, and 20 metres in front of the camera is a road! One day I had like 15 workers march through there just meters away! lol. Landlord wanted to mow the grass down. Kids riding past on bikes. All sortsa crazy shit.

My friend does a wierd type of supercropping/lst and he had what would be a 6 or 7 ft sativa spread out only 2 ft high - wider than my big one. It looked like a strange shrub. It's the way to go - more light AND stealth.

Hell yeah I only saw it the once but I think it was a mix of getting snapped over from just being so damn big, and then he did some tying. It was kinda spread over a tree stump and some weedy undergrowth.

Another friend has an outdoor scrog going. It's taken them a while but they're slowly realising you can get more from a smaller plant. I grew that same cut from above many times as 4 or 5 ft bushes but never beat the yield of the 1.5ft high one. A bush shades it's own lower growth.

he talks about all sorts of stuff including "minis"/"late runs"
i haven't finished reading it (1/3 through it) but it's full of good information. from what i read he basically puts them out later (august...i think) so they don't grow too big
