As title says I lost my loved Granny today.. She was turning 77 this month and lived a very full life.. Early dismorning she stopped breathing, and fell hard. Thats when my uncle got her and called the EMTs. She went about 15 minutes with out breathing/heartbeat. At the hospital things didnt look good at all and we vouched to give her the morophine and take the breathing machine off of her.. She was totally unconcious and with 15 mins w/o oxygen she was going to have some severe brain damage. The past 5 years have been hell for her so in a way I am happy she went out peacefully in a deep deep sleep.. I just wish she was awake today so I could hear her talk one last time..

... She is now in a better place..

RIP Granny

Thanks alot for the quick responses FAM.. It means the world to mee.. :joint:

Quick story...
About 20 years ago when my Grandpop died.. (her husband) There was a big storm right when he died followed by a huge beautiful rainbow... Ironicly enough as soon as she died today, it started raining and was followed by a huge rainbow.. Things like that dont just happen, it happens for a reason... But I wont make this into a religous thread..

Thanks again fam, nothing but lovee..

Bad news bro but always think positive and act how you know she wants you to. Death is another part of life and is a road that we all must walk, as long as your Granny had a nice life and a good family you should feel happy. Don't worry she is watching over you all and you will meet her again, life is only in the blink of an eye. Treat life like the next day is the last and remember don't worry about the past because tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life.

Peace

My Grandma was another Mother to me...I lost her when I was 8, she was only 51. This is the poem from her service..

"Should You Go First"

Should you go first and I remain
to walk the road alone
I'll live in memory's garden, dear
with happy days we've known
in Spring I'll wait for roses red,
when fades the lilacs blue,
in early fall, when brown leaves call
I'll catch a glimpse of you

Should you go first, and I remain
for battles to be fought,
each thing you've touched along the way
will be a hallowed spot
I'll hear your voice;
I'll see your smile,
though blindly I may grope
the memory of your helping hand
will buoy me on with hope

Should you go first and I remain
to finish with the scroll,
no length'ning shadows shall creep in
to make this life seem droll
We've known so much of happiness
we've had our cup of joy,
and memory is one gift of God
that death cannot destroy

Should you go first and I remain,
one thing I'd have you do;
walk slowly down that long, lone path,
for soon I'll follow you
I'll want to know each step you take
that I may walk the same,
for some day down that lonely road
you'll hear me call your name

**I think the author was unknown, but I'm glad I was able to find this.

My Grandparents talk far to much, my favorite Grandmother passed a long time ago. Glad to hear that your folks had good Ascension, sad about Grandma losing consciousness.
