Hi Rob547 - sorry to hear about the trouble you've been having! It always goes so smoothly in the mind..but then when it comes time to get things done...it never comes out that smoothly! Well, hopefully we can pull something good outta this season. Why did you have to undig your holes???

No new pics of the babies, yet, rainy day and there isnt really any visible progress...though there is more drooping!

I saw a deer just walkin around...proceeded to try to scare it away nicely...then I noticed it had a little baby deer with it!!! The baby was too small to get in the pic..it was runnin around and all the grass was over its head..pretty cute but they better not munch on my babies!!!!

then a lil earlier i noticed this guy scurryin around...i think he has a home near my seedlings cuz he is always runnin around all day...cute lil bugger

Hello everyone...just another day with more pics to show!! minimal progress, but I guess its fun to show...

One of them isn't doing so well, as you can see below. the new leaves that are coming in are very small and shriveling a bit...I am not sure if they are being overwatered and suffering from something like root rot...or if I need to give it some food? I have pure plend pro...I plan on giving it a nice mix of Pure plend pro and superthrive tomorrow...as well as the others..

The tall one is healthy, but the leaves are starting to droop as well...hopefully the food tomorrow helps them. If they are being overwatered...then I guess I am only going to hurt them.

If anyone could help , that would be great! :joint:

I have one that seems to be very healthy, and looks lovely. its the short one, but with really nice green leaves and it looks healthy...let me know what you guys think.

I dug some holes today...good spots, lots of sun and lots of surrounding vegetation....going to fill the holes tomorrow or the next day..water them...and transplant on saturday/sunday!!!

I have a lot of problems ahead of me: bugs and critters are my worst enemies I have a feeling. also deer, they arent really a critter...so heres my checklist for stuff i was gonna get...its a lot, so i may cut it down:

-Mulch
-Neem Oil
-Chicken Wire (with wooden stakes to hold them in)
-Green Spraypaint (to paint wire + stakes)
-Water retaining crystals - where do i get these?? nursery??? home depot and lowes dont exist out here...and im not even sure if i wanna use these yet
-Deer/Animal Repellant (Liquid Fence) - also not sure where to get this
-Copper (copper choreboy was reccomended in another thread? i will search for it..)
-Rotenone OR Pyrethum to ward off bugs...dont really know what these are but also gonna search for them
-Petersons or Hyponex snail and slug bait...
-Diatomaceous Earth...(I hope i find this, it seems to be really good against bugs from what i read...)
-Dolomite (Fine)

So...I may not get all of this..because that sounds expensive!!!!! But the Neem oil, chicken wire + accessories, and either d-earth or mulch is required I suppose....

Gonna check out the hydro shop tomorrow, hopefully they have a lot of that stuff covered, tips on where to find it would be awesome ! :joint:

Anyway, enough rambling, on with the pics

Hi guys, thanks for stopping by!

Paddi - Yes, there are 4 holes at the bottom of each cup...i guess they arent TOO big..

stevefrench - the medium is pretty wet..i guess i should hold off on watering?

I plan on cutting the cups away, ER surgery style, when I transplant them in a couple days

When do you see your self using nutrients?

I am sort of scared of burning my plants since there about the size of yours?

HerbGlaze - I have been giving them a really weak solution of PBP + Superthrive about once or twice a week now...basically inbetween waterings. It rained yesterday, although I brought them inside I think they still got pretty wet, so the little shriveling guy may be overwatered..

Gonna let them dry out...to answer your question...I'm not gonna feed them any more PBP until they get nice and big and the dirt isnt doin the job anymore.

Alright thanks mate!

Just checking in to see if I am crazy or not.

I think Ill just give mine some nutrients in a really low dose when they start turning a paler green.
For now my soil mix is supporting them properly though.. horse manure, and mushroom compost and some bagged soil + native soil. :D

Hi everybody!

Went out and got some D-Earth today...as well as neem oil....have some mulch already, as well as chicken wiring...I figure between these things it should keep a fair number of bugs + animals away, but we'll see.

Minor progress, but I may as well show. The droopy smaller one seems to be bouncing back slowly. It rained last night and I didn't know it was going to, so they got a little watering, hopefully it doesn't hurt em.

Hello all!

Well, today was the big day for them...I did finally preparations to the sites and transplanted. Added a lot of D-Earth , maybe too much (thats the white stuff you see)

I also added some mulch to the top layer of dirt.

Also Neem oil sprayed them....and I applied human urine all around the spot as a deer/animal repellant.

Also caged them up, and secured cages with metal stakes

Then watered them with 1 gal each of water/superthrive mix...I hope they handle the transplants ok! Let me know what you guys think

I'm leaving town for 2 weeks-ish tomorrow, so they need some prayers!!

Onto the pics

And there it is....my grow show....i hope it does ok, but I'm kind of expecting them to all get owned by the many variables out there (bugs, animals, critters, rippers, too much rain, too little rain...)

well, we shall see. Good luck on your season!!! I hope these do ok!!!

Any comments would be greatly appreciated

Thanks dyr, I admire your grow!

Well, today I leave for 2 weeks...I doubt anything can help them survive...but I can pray...

went out to check on them this morning...and one of my favorite ones is already pretty much eaten up..pretty sure bugs did it...left a leaf or 2...goddamnit! I neem oil'd and d-earthed around them...figured that would at least help for 24 hours!!! not even though....

looking good, critta!
using anything for slugs? I used copper choreboy wrapped around the stems..
:joint:

I even had copper choreboy on my list a few posts back...but I decided to just go with D-Earth and Neem Oil....im guessing the slugs can get past that stuff easy, especially since we just had a rain to wash everything up....

Damn...I don't have enough time today to get that for them, so I just have to leave them...I hope at least one survives and is female, but my chances aren't looking good.

Thanks for the tip cellar...can only play the d-earth is enough

Hmmm...Yeah I should probably go out there and give them another round of D-Earth and neem oil spray...thanks for the idea.
