what can you tell by leaf numbers

starting from the bottom up, if a plant has...

seed leaves
the "first set of true leaves" - just one
second set of leaves - 3
third set of leaves - 5
fourth set - 7
fifth set - 9
sixth set - not formed yet

it is bag seed
sorry i can't post a pic, it's not my plant

the leaves seem to be on the narrow side, but not skinny
this is from me looking at pics here and comparing

can anything be told about the plant from this?

i'm not sure how to understand your reply

i thought leaf numbers would be determined by genetics

does a plant start growing 1,3,5,7,9 and maybe even 11 when they are doing well?
so by this example since the numbers go up at every node that means everything is going great?

would a plant that is just getting by on life maybe have leaf numbers like this for example... 1,3,3,5,7,7,9?

sativas generally have skinny leaves but some have fat..the leaf blade numbers tell you nothing

When the plant flowers you'll get decreasing leaf finger numbers so instead of it going 1-3-5-7-9-11 it'll go 11-9-7-5-3-1 and the max number of fingers i've come across is 13 from a sativa and indicas normally have 5 to 9 fingers.

yes, in veg you will see it go up and once in flower will decrees. That why you can tell when peoples plants have gone into flower early out doors and then reverted, the leaves will go like 3-5-7 and then 7-5-3- and then back up back in re-veg
