he's a smart cat, but fuck...imagine the dirt that they'll dig up.

yea but if he actually got a chance to run i think he would just lay it all out there

I'm sure you guys have heard it but Jello's "grow more pot" spoken word track is some great shit. check it if you haven't.

If you havent heard x ray spex before, I would say, get this immediately. Germ Free Adolescents. They only did the one album, then split. While most of punk in the uk was amphetamine/heroin fuelled, xray spex put the psychadelics into punk. Lead singer Polly Styrene had a voice that was likened to a chainsaw. Absolutely fuckin brill. Often called the Queen of punk here in the uk. Saw them last year, reformed for one gig only, after 30 years. Thats the way to do it. Anti consumerism, eco punks, light years ahead.

:
I clambered over mounds and mounds
Of polystyrene foam
And fell into a swimming pool
Filled with fairy snow
And watched the world turn day-glo
you know you know
The world turned day-glo you know

I wrenched the nylon curtains back
As far as they would go
And peered through perspex window panes
At the acrylic road

I drove my polypropolene
Car on wheels of sponge
Then pulled into a wimpy bar
To have a rubber bun

The X-rays were penetrating
Through the laytex breeze
Synthetic fibre see-thru leaves
fell from the rayon trees
& watched the world turn day glo you know! you know the world turned day glo.......Uh Oh.

& finally the greatest band of all time IMO, The Ruts.
This lots music still makes my hair stand up, they were unbelievably tight.
Raw, rock, & reggae as well, they could do it better than the Clash, Pistols, Damned. Better than anyone. Big into rock against racism. The thatcher years, london, riots, amazing band.
2 albums Grin & Bear it, & the Crack. Yes sirreee. there are bits there that sound as good as Hendrix, faster than Motorhead, tighter than a ducks arse.
Lead singer died of Heroin overdose, They were the BEST.
RIP Malcolm Owen. Babylon burns for U.

What about Fatal Microbes

Honey Bane was the singer, she sung for Crass for a while.
Check this, not bad for a bunch of 14 year olds.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-h7Da4wJgZg
2 of the band were kids of Vi Subversa, of Poison Girls. More Crass connnections.
Honey Bane kind of imploded, a carehome kid, on the run since she was 14, ended up on the game, smacked up & posing for dirty mags. Just another casualty of the whole damned movement.

and I often think back, to them, those friends who played too hard, danced too near to the flames,.
and got burnt.
