Hoping for frosty buds.

Ok, been lurking for a while and eventually got sucked in so I registred and ordered some seeds. Been building a nice little setup and I hope it will produce some nice little buds although the main thing seems to have been the build itself, got a little creative with a freezer i had standing around.

The Freezer.

The insides, the fan is located in the top left corner.

6 x 15w CFL(?) and another 15w flourescent tube. The wires are soldered to the lamps since I didn't feel like paying through my ass to get holders.

My nice little buddy, he is the fastest, strongest plant of them all, I want to carry those genetics into the next round if I can.

The weird one, it's not growing anything at the top, only sidebranches are showing.

The freezer was given to me from my old job since they where "renewing" the workplace and this was to old to fit in there. I don't know the brand but it says CITY on it. I'll go check it out soon. I thought it was lovely and didn't want to see it get thrown in the garbage so I claimed it for mine.

The Freezer is wonderful, it has locks on both doors as an added bonus.

The strains I'm growing are Double gum and Azarius Power Plant (the weird looking one) and I was hoping to cross them eventually, does that work with feminized seeds? (The powerplant seeds are feminized).

The topside of the box looks like shit for now though, I've hidden the electric and the exhaust is there aswell. I am going to attach a filter of some sort eventually but I'm procrastinating until it is really needed.

Eventually I will put the plants under this MoFo™. It's two 125w Mercury and 1 75 w HPS. I have a 400 w HPS ballast laying around that I need to get a bulb for, eventually....

Thanks, it looks stealthy but there is quite some sound to it still. Currently I'm growing Double gum and Azarius Power Plant seeds but it seems that I only want more strains, like I want them all.

Fixed the sound from the fan by using a converter from 240V - 110V, hope my buddys don't get to hot in there.

Anyway, I raised the lights a bit since they are growing like mad, at least one of them, the others are doing it at their leisure kinda. The monster (Double Gum):

Notice that there is no continued growth at the top, kinda hard to see but believe me... Is this strange or am I...

Thanks, I thought a lot about where to have my grow before I got the bright idea to put it in the freezer only to find out that it's been done by so many people before... Great minds think alike huh?

The height is only about 80 cm and that's been worrying me a bit but I guess I will see eventually. Will be taking clones and so on and so forth, might flower them after they get roots without to much vegging or maybe SCROG them or perhaps LST... There is no end to the possibilities(SP?)

I think I'd ditch the mercury lamp as soon as possible, but otherwise very slick setup and nice plants

That's the rub, ain't it? My old axial fan was perfect. You could hear it all over the garage but, it sounded just like a beat up freezer should. My S&P can be tamed for sound levels but, it doesn't sound like a freezer. I'm going to have to add some mechanical noise. Stealth doesn't require silence, just a plausible explanation.

magiccannabus, thanks for dropping in and for the nice comments. The plants are vegging under CLF's(?) (LowEnergy lamps) right now, I am not using any mercury lamps yet. I wanted to use them for foliarpenetration later in the veg. Do you have a good reason why I should'nt use it?

FreezerBoy: spot on, I had an old fan that didn't move enough air on at first but it sounded perfect, a bit of a rattle to it and so on but it sounded like a beat up freezer should

The new fan moves enough air but it doesn't sound old enough.

I'm on the edge of my seat as well, I have no idea if I should top it or if I should just let it grow, any suggestions?
