but seriously, with the exception of slayer, there are 200 bands that could rotate in and out of that list. THose are the first i just happened to think of (cliche or not ; soundscan or not)

For sure man, Slayer should be at the top of my list, they are definitely the hardest and most real band around IMO Dave Lombardo alone is ridiculous.

heavy dank nugg

nice link can you get it in stores with the enhanced bass?

No you cant get it in the stores since only a few songs have been enhanced for the guitar hero game.
There is BTW a Ride The Lightning Remastered available. This album gives a much clearer sound of the bass and i love the sound of an Aria Pro II bass.

VH1 classic was playing all kinds of Maiden this morning. Whole live show, too. Bruce was hard to hear during the live show, but it still kicked ass.

To the Maiden fans out there, how to you feel about Paul D'anno(sp?). I think his contributions get overlooked. Those first two albums were awesome too!

Motley crue etc...glam rock, or fag rock, what ever label you like.
And justice for all my be alittle to orchestrated for some head bangers. but very good.
Slayer, enough said.
I thought i'd see a shitload more dio in this thread.

Rainbow is underrated. Esp. with Ronnie at the helm.

Hetfield & Ulrich f*cked up the whole And Justice For All album to published it with no bass sound although it should have sound like this

Interesting. Bass is a bit too loud in that vid but I see what you're getting at vs. the original. I saw the Justice tour w/Queensryche in Peoria, IL and they sounded fucking incredible. Probably the best concert i've ever seen. Damn I wish I were there right now actually. Close enough to bathe in hetfields beer throwing

This is the first album of Flotsam & Jetsam with Jason Newstedt, but it is so much classical, greater than the first of Metallica. Its a pity Jason left Flotsam & Jetsam. The bass sound is also so much greater than on the albums of Metallica, even with Cliff.

Absolutely, I fuckin' love their debut.

Every song on that album is alright by me but I fuckin' love Remember Tomorrow, Phantom Of The Opera, Charlotte The Harlot (especially the bridge before the solo!), and my absolute favourite is Strange World.

how could i have overlooked metal church ??????? Gods of wrath was my anthem .
No shit bro ... Hitman and Ton of Bricks are my favorites. Dude's a first rate screeeecher ... grinding guitar riffs ...:headbange slamming drums ... kinda weak in the bass dept IMHO but all in all a rocking experience ... I haven't thought about MC in years ... thanks for the reminder.
