Hmmmm....well, the only thing that I see those movies have in common is that they are modern day westerns. "The Proposition," in my opinion, is better than all of them.

Do you know about the website RottenTomatoes? Its a great place to check out movie reviews/descriptions....it basically collects all the movie reviews for a movie and averages them out. Go to RT and see what they say about "The Proposition."

Its killer :)

MetaCritic is a web site that does the same thing.

If you really want to use that site to it's full effect, what you need to do is find some of the reviewers on the site that seem to agree with your feelings regularly, and then put them in your personal favorites file. You need to do this with a fairly sizable sample, maybe 15 movies you love and 10 you hate to get a consistent match. To do that you have to register, but its quick and painless.

some off the top of my head

point break - classic 90's movie, before keanu was neo and it has gary busey in it

outlander was good, and unexpected being it wasn't very popular

waiting... is one of my favorite recent comedies along with grandma's boy. 2 underrated films that got passed off as indecent lowlife stoner flicks.

smiley face was OK, it's about anna farris eating too many weed cupcakes and acting super stoned the whole movie, but not much depth to it outside that.

wanted is a great semi-recent action flick if someone hasn't seen it yet

Clubbed and Powder Blue really enjoy some of the recent briitsh films coming out lately. I can respect a man who won't snitch on his friends and will take hard time for them.

'1408'

I don't usually care for John Cusack but he was great in this one.......

I mentioned back on page 6 that I was a little bit disappointed with how this one ended. I just saw the director's cut of this movie with extended scenes and the ending they decided not to use, and it was so much better than the original. It's worth seeing if you liked the original film

I'll check out the director's cut because I liked 1408 most of Stephen King's movies fail to make the translation from paper to screen very well but I think they did a good job with that one.
