I always run bone dry buds, the yield and quality are controlled by your buds and your bags, sounds to me like you just over liquefied the mash last time

Yeah, I kinda figured that was the case with the last batch. I'll do better with the next run in couple days I'm sure. I tried something new today. I mixed/balled my bubble, and iso hash 50/50 Now thats the way to be smoking iso LOL.. Not to melty, not to thick, but just right Burned perfectly, and the mixed tastes complemented each other quite well..

Plant #2 Denser buds.. Better leaf/calyx ratio. Strong citrus-lime with a weird metallic-chemical funk to it.. Quick to flower, nice dense buds, stinks strong & good, covered in trichs.. I'd say it has keeper potential:smile:

Plant #4 The more tropical mango-citrus smelling pheno. A lil longer flower time on this one then others, but 68 days for buds this delicious who's complaining:smile: This is the only plant outta the bunch that has more of tropical scent..

^^^Kool I bet that cut is a stinker. I've had my share of plants that put off that acidic ammonia cat-pissy smell.. A few of the wonder diesel's I've grown have had that pissy edge to em, but it wasn't all that bad.. I dont mind it all to much in the wd's to much as other flavors/scents make up for it, but I would think the clone with the name sake "cat piss" would be pretty damn rank for sure.. Thier seems to be a flavor-scent for everybody in marijuana... I still cant get over the folks who go on and on about how good their baby shit smelling buds smoke.... No thanks:wink:

in my experience it seems the strains with heavier fuel-lemon/pine terrpines can at times produce that ammonia pissy stench.

Good shit Tbug. I wish we could have a harvesting party, and smoke out LOL. It looks like you have those chemdogs bx2's dialed in perfectly now.. It seems you got a great yield this go around with the supplemental lighting in there. How long are you letting them go this run? I found these trainwrecks to be pretty early finishers considering how much sativa is in the makeup. Seems ideal for the indoor grower IMO.

I upgraded my 2 bag bubble bag kit for a new 5 bag kit for this harvest:smile: A few of these ladies have real heavy trich coverage on em, and I wanna get it all...

I used to think it was ALL good so I figured the coffee filter was just fine. But now I wonder if that claim is true, there is a greater need for the baggs.

Yeah, picked up a cheaper 5 bag kit. Best investment I made in a while bro.. I've been having lots of fun the last couple weeks figuring out how to get the best hash from them. You notice a big difference in quality between the different size bags the more plant matter/trich stalks are removed... I cant believe I got by with a two bag kit for so long, and after smoking some good bubble you'll probably say the same thing Smoking good quality hash is so much better of an experience then smoking so-so hash.. My two bag kit produced a quality I'd reach for only after smoking all my buds LOL. Good hash, Is GOOD HASH though bro

Most all the thc and good stuff is located in the trich heads themselves. I'm sure some is actually contained within the stalk, but when compared to that big swollen gland head, that's where it's at LOL.. The purest hash you could possibly make would consist of just the gland heads themselves, seperated from the stalk.. All plant matter, and even the trich stalks removed. Under a 40x lens I can see that my 70micron bag is where i get the good stuff. The full heads usually sit in this bag, and in the 25m bag I can actually see broken trich heads, and broken stalk pieces etc.(still a decent grade). You also see a difference when smoking from the different grades..The purest fully melts, bubbles, and burns to pretty much nothing on the screen... the lower the grade the less it will bubble and the more ash/crap you'll see left over in the bowl.

I'll put some pics up of the hash I get from the next run Ill be doing in a few days.. I finally got the process figured out pretty good now:wink: My last batch which I mixed by hand came out pretty damn pure..

Took down plant #2 a couple days ago at day 65 flower.. The remaining two will come down Tuesday at 68days.

Well Old friend, I think ill let that girl run out about 3 more weeks, tric development is slow going after the root death, shes about 20% red on her hairs, and the buds are not quite as plump as I like them to be.


main cola is now about 6" across, figure it will finish out around 8" and weigh 5oz dry.

I have lots of new strains to get too. Probably be growing some of Rezdogs newer release stuff if I'm lucky:wink: Either some of those or I also have a few nice haze hybrids I'd like to try such as the oldtimers haze x deep chunk seeds I scored.. Sound good?

First priorty though is most likely going to be taking the finest of these Tw ladies to her three sibling males.. That if it smokes as deadly as it looks.. This bud looks DELICIOUS. Sugar coated buds

Thanks bro. Next run I plan to keep em shorter/bushier by topping and tieing abd vegging sooner. I think they will yield better like that.. My seed runs are always grown as natural as I can. I'm also usually trying to fit more plants then I should from seed.. Always on the pheno hunt lol

The trim hasn't been bad at all. Not much leaf in the bud, and whats there is coated in trichs anyway. It's be just as good to smoke as it would be in the bubble bags

I gave a few shots of the original pbbloom mid flower. I Used liquid karma mostly in moderate doses. Turned out real nice this run... Smoked a joint of the freshly dried bud already, and it burned perfectly pre-cure. Nice even burn, clean ash, and none of that nasty hot back of the throat burn this time around. I think some how some way these hydro nutes just burn hotter then organics when not fully flushed out.. I never got that throat burn even when I had shitty timing with my organic runs.. Think you end up giving a bit of yield up with this regimen to obtain that quality of smoke. Keep the n to long, or use a pk boosters to late, and ur throat seems to suffer for it.. Gonna try the floranova bloom next I'm thinking.. Think I may be able to push em a lil harder early-mid flower with the nova bloom, and still be able to flush em out properly in time for harvest. One of the great aspects of coco I found is the ease of the flush.

Weird though, have you ever had a plant that had 2 completely different smells? Iv got all but 2 of the branches that smell like fruity pebbles, and 2 that have a rank semi-metallic smell to them?

Not a bad stash to get you by. Thought you'd have a few of those bars of gold stashed away for a rainy day:wink: I grew a lemon head plant before. Iin the first grow journal I did online over at that other site I use to frequint. Supposedly the seed I grew were found in what was told to me to be a local strain called lemon head. Before I bought seed online I had a couple friends saving beans from whatever good bud they came across.. Could of been a hermi seed, or an accidental pollenation, but either way it did have a real smooth incense lemon flavor, and a nice balanced mellow high.

That's weird. I Never experienced something like that with the scent being different depending on where it was on the plant. Though I have had differences like the more mature buds closer to the tops being stronger/better smelling then those less mature and being shaded out by the larger tops. Never that drastic though. Who knows exactly how those terpines work though.. I know I sure dont anyway LOL. Interesting find... Even more interested in those fruity pebble smelling buds sounds real yummy.

What I do know to be true is they have a few weak spots in there genetic history, Cause the hermi action was and still is present in all of my current lemon head seeds.



This GWS is massive, I only veged to 12", her main cola is over 18" and nothing but bud.

All in all, the GWS is not bad under a single 400w hps, but I think ill be testing out some of that PPP next, might have to axe the bubble berry kush mother to make room... Not a big fan of the kush (hindu kush is tasty though)

Thanks Kool, real nice comment you made. I appreciate it... I'm just as grateful to have a place like icmag to call my home forum. Great growers, and breeders abound here on icmag, and I'm happy just being a part of it. I'm sure I'd hit it off with the greater majority of those I befriended on here if we were to ever meet in real life. We all come from different countries, deal with different issues sourrounding this hobby, but we all have similar passions, and have a common thread wihich gives us the balls to do as we do

As far as the auditory hallucinations, I get that as well from time to time.. I've lived a good portion of my life to the harmony of the super mario brothers theme song I do remember the LH plant I grew out throwing a few late flower nanners.. I think that's more common these days due to the way we grow/flush our MJ plants of nutrients towards the end of their cycles for flavor. Thats gotta be stressfull.... Seriously the 5 years I spent growing outdoors organic, and with nothing but bag seed I never had issues of plants going hermie... It was only after I started buying genetics, and growing inside with more control did it start popping up... Thats been my experience anyway..

That GWS does look pretty thick. I think I still have 2 greenhouse fem seeds left from my pack too. The ppp was descent.. I only got that 1 purple female from my pack, so I didnt get a good look at the genetic potential... Can you beleive I lost the remainder of that ppp pack!! I DONT usually EVER misplace seeds, so I have no idea what the hell happend to them..

I'd love to go to ambsterdam someday. I'd like to go to the ic420 cup of course, and meet up with some people I know from here... I dont share my passion for MJ with to many in my daily life, so getting people who would want to go, or would have the money to go would be a lil difficult. Someday I'm going though... Even if I'm old and grey I'm going to eventually make it there.. Look for me when you go, I'll be the old man in the back with a cane smoking more then all the youngsters
