Wow 4-5 with organic FF nutes? You've been using organic soil mixes that have lot's of d-lime and seashells and lot's of pH buffering shit. That's wierd. You must be mixing it up too strong to get the pH that low. It might be worthwile to mix up a batch and test the pH as you add each ingredient.

i am wondering myself as i usefoxfarm but recently changed to the technofloral series and have had better results than gh or advance but this was only with 1 strain

Yea I'm not sure I'm dosing too heavy as I was using 2tsp Tiger Bloom and 1tbs Big Bloom but I didn't get my problems until I started using the Big Bloom and I know it lowers PH so I figure that's the culprit lol

yo thundo do you have the pheno of ssh that gets very nasty swollen calyxes with dripping resin. or do you have one of the more haze pheno's?


and all im gonna say is ph strips can sometimes be a bit off and i can assure you coco like 6-6.2 ph range way more than a 5.6. anyway i know you will play around with it and some of your genes might prefer a different ph but i generally had way better results using 6-6.2 range.

Yes I have the nasty swollen calyx pheno that gets COVERED in resin!! The first time I saw this girl was when my buddy grew her out and got 9oz off 2 plants harvested at 8weeks. When I helped trim that harvest, we got the the SSH and it seem oily compared to the PK and Mendo Purps who were white with crystals but this SSH was super oily and the THC just soaked into our skin and the 3 of us trimming got FUCKED UP all of a sudden when we finished with those girls I already see a ton of crystals forming and it's not even a full 3 weeks into flower yet!

Did you see these pics before?? These were taking at week 6 , those were also done when I was having problems as you can see the burn ect this time should be nice!!! My one buddy that takes care of a big med garden and who originally gave me my Thunder Goo clones to get me started had only been over when my garden was looking shitty. So he wasn't sure about my "wild claims" about 8-10g per plant but when he saw my cab last night he was saying looks like I finally know what I'm doing and my plants don't have purple stems this time ect lol I can't wait till I have my cab full of 17-22" plants with fat cola's!!!

Thanks for the detailed answer Thundurkel. I remember reading earlier you said your yields were improved switching from soil to coco, curious if you knew by about how much.

I want to switch from soil to coco also but it sucks not even being able to leave for 1 day if you dunk every day. I can at least get away for a weeekend right now.

Current grow looks awesome, what a variety! Can't wait to see that SSH fill out, keep doin what you're doin man.

Free Radical - Depends on what mix you get like the one I'm using now is for indoor and outdoor use and I can go 2 days without watering them right now but I'm dunking everyday to be more like a E&F system.. I have a plant going right now in what I had left of the Black Gold Waterhold Coco Blend that I thought was my problem but turns out it was the nutes cuz I added some perlite to it and I'm feeding her with Flora Nova Grow and Bloom and she's SO happy! I don't have to water this one which is in a 5" square pot no more than once every 4 days or so the shit holds water FOREVER!!! But I like my Roots Organics Coco Fiber mix as it seems to hold water pretty well and it's also hard to over water it either. My moms get watered every 3 days or so in this Roots Coco so I think you'd be able to leave for the weekend with it for the first few weeks but even in soil you'll be dunking everyday when in full bloom at least in my experience... I'd check out Roots Organics soils cuz they are coco based and hold water longer than the soilless mix... Also I will tell you my yield increase after I run a few rows through with the coco mix cuz right now I'm not sure if it was just that or the Flora Nova that gave me such fat plants. The reason I say this is cuz I have those 4 girls in cups of soil and they are looking just as big as my coco girls did at this stage so we'll see... I can say that I notice the speed in growth has increase by 15-20% I would say compared to the soil so things will get interesting in the following weeks...

I only had a choice of 2 cocos when I was doing outdoors in 35 litre growbags, and they were both pretty dry stuff. On my final grow I added water crystals to the straight coco. It seemed to work except I wish I used more. Then I moved out and had to give them to someone else to flower the last 6 weeks and they suck at growing mj. But if you have dry coco and want to use it, I would suggest give crystals a trial on the side and see what you think. Probably start at 1/4 the soil dose and move up from there.

all u need is a resevoir a timer and some aquarium lines and a water pump to make a system then u can feed 1+ times a day hassle free. i know how much having to water by hand sux and i just did a whole grow every night and its not an option for me i gotta build something for next run

Ive read through your whole thread multiple times, along with dr bud's and it seems every time i read through i get new ideas for my pc cab. I guess i just want to say, i love your work, its excellent. Love to see your results with flora nova grow and bloom, im going to get some because its ph buffered, seems like the way to go. Liking your experiemtns with the coco too, are you just mixing coco with perlite? Anyway, excellent results Thundurkel, ill be watching.

It is how I came up with the name cuz I had started out with what I was told was ATF and some Urkle but then found out I had Thunder Goo and either Urkle or Lavender cuz it's no way GDP so we'll see in a few weeks cuz I have the Thunder Goo and Urkle?? side by side and you can see the difference.. I thought they were the same for a while but that was cuz I hadn't grown them at the same time and the sweet smell they give off in early flower is similar until week 5 or so then it changes But yea the strain "Thundurkle and The Bombdiggity" will get worked on this year and then I will test grow and select over another year or so before I release it as seeds. But if I find a awesome elite keeper in my first batch I will test it a few times in different conditions and then clone the shit out of her and spread her around Cali

things are looking good!!! I'm not happy with how short these girls are but they went through a lot of stress before I got them back on track so it's cool. Noticed the fox farm grow big in the backround, you still comparing those 2 plant of fox farm nutes to that of the 2 flora plants? Whos winning? That a glad container u got that in, using lst? I live in the ozark mountains, and the power goes out once a month, so im def. goona use some cfl's with a ups backup and backup power inverter, power go out often in cali?
