Get Baked and Go Fishing

Down here (SoFla) we go out to the edge of the Everglades (off Rt 27) for some serious bass fishin. Me & bro-in-law caught 40 last weekend on plastic worms in a bit over 3 hours. Bassin' n bakin' is a lot of fun, but we almost got busted!

Here we are, middle of nowhere, on our new EagleCat (2 man inflatable), trollin and tokin and lovin life, catching lg mouth bassies on just about every other cast, watchin the gators, egrets, and yes, a few wild flamingos, when it happened. Within 2 minutes of killing off a fat doobie, we get pulled over by a couple of FL Wildlife Control officers (in their rigged-out 25' Contender) and get cited for not having a vessel registration! On a friggin inflatable!! Are you kidding me? A daggum $90 ticket!!! Well, it could have been much worse I reckon...but what a buzzkill.

Turns out they were actually pretty cool, and didn't cite us for not having any life vests. They had never seen such a craft, and really dug how good it worked for fishin the flats & skinny waters out here near the Badlands. But, once ya put so much as a trolling motor on it, it requires a registration. DANG!

The wels catfish is found in wide areas of central, southern, and eastern Europe, and near the Baltic and Caspian Seas.
they can grow verry big
there are some old reports from catfish catch on the Danube from about specimens over 3 m (9.8 ft) long and 200–250 kg (440–550 lb)

I've done just about every kind of fishing there is. Deep sea, bass, noodling, blah.

To me, the most fun a man can have fishing is hitting an east coast pier and king fishing with live bait using a proper king rig.

Nothing even comes close, from my perspective.
