Well last year i started seeds on June 7(along with March starts for bushes)...after i lost my job and wanted to grow for the summer..My plants(the ones started on June 7) got 3 feet tall..and yielded about 1/2 oz of dried bud...

This year I have started seeds again in March and in the middle of sexing them now to go outside in 2 weeks...I also have seedlings a month old..I know they will be fine by Oct...
My question is how late is too late? Just for shits and giggles I started another bean tonight...I figure it's a month ahead of last years so maybe 4foot or more..
What do you think???

Sorry failed to mention I am in SW Ont Canada...

Well, it's getting late for a decent veg time... Seedlings planted late don't usually get that large or develop a great root system without babying...

Strain dependent really. Indica or Sat? I just popped a few last week after a couple of beers! I began to fear I wouldn't get a decent male to work with my Flo Mother clone...

Can you develop a decent root system under T5s 24 hour light indoors???

Depends a little on lattitude, but I plant up until august. Seeds planted late wont veg for long, but flower fine.

I figure it probably also depends on the strain, some sativas dont need much veg time and can produce decent yeilds. I havent planted yet either, im hoping to get them out within a week or two

This is the money you could be saving if you grow

If you think about it, it depends on the flowering time of the seed. White Widow for example flowers and readies in 60 days. Therefore with 30 days of veg, like indoors, and 60 days of flowering. 7-1 would be about the latest. Expect a small harvest of about 1/2 ounce per plant at the end of September.

I just got a bunch of bag seed out. I want some real strains but I can't take the risk of ordering seeds. So these will have to work.

Today i've stated germinating some indica based Bagseeds using paper towel method.I know it's a little late but better late than never.Good luck with your grow chefboy!

I got more bag seed that I'm using. Hoping to get like 20-30 plants then kill off the males.
When they start to flower. All I want is a bunch of nice crystals for hash.

well the one bean hasn't started yet..but it's getting really warm where I live..last year I had no problems germinating seeds outside on June 7..I think seeds like the heat of the sun..in my experience..I get fastest best germination in the heat of the summer..
My plan is too start more..hehe..I want some nice pollen for breeding this summer..I am gonna start Sam Skunkman's Thai Haze x Skunk 1 or THUNK..and gonna start a Johnny Blaze f2..mmm SATIVA;s for breeding..haha later

well started 2 Johnny Blazde f2's today..decided against the Thunk and went with the JB f2..it's a 13-14 week sativa as compared to Thunks 16-18 week flower period..lol I think Johnny Blaze will be better breeding material.
The description from legends sounds awesome:
An Original "Neville's Haze" female crossed with a slightly sativa-leaning Blueberry male. The "Haze" has a green-citrus boquette with borderline woody undertones, while the Blueberry male adds a sweet-fruity flavor. Due to the genetic difference between the "Neville's Haze" female and the "Blueberry" male (both considered a P1 generation in this cross) I anticipate a uniform f1 hybrid from the cross along with very healthy hybrid vigor (high yield potential). Also, the f2's (and beyond) crossed from these f1's will probably prove very diverse. A party just waiting to happen!

Thanks again you know who you are
