Does anyone know a ballpark figure of what you should be paying for 250g in the rif and around chifuenen(dont think thats how you spell it)
I've been to the parvati valley myselfe. the hash is very pure and strong-charas i should say.... but Im not a huge fan of it because its very harsh and oily - fucks your lungs up. Lighter moroccan is what i seek for my next foreign hash adventure

If kashmir is not in some state off emergency then go and look fore some unpressed pollen from pakistan/afghanistan

Going Kashmir to smoke Af/Pak stuff is nonsense. Kashmir twisted gardah and Attar are actually superiors to most Himachali charas.

from my personal exp i think that the afgani and pak gardar is far better than the corn twisted kashmir just what i have found,
the twisted kashmir is dry and tastless compared to afgan/paki gardar

I am not talking abouth black paki or afgani but the gardar

And comparing gardar and charas is like comparing appels and tomatos potency wise the gardar beat charas in potency
but tastewise it is a Q off taste

I love charas i have been in himachal almost 2 years doing nothing but smoking and sampling and if you ask me charas from himachal is not was it use to be and there isent alot off it you have to be quick

indeed, I've been away for some time :abduct: and it does feel good to be back !

actually I think it's hardly comparable, because the effects are sooo differents !
There are Af/Pak gardah/Charas made of sativa such as the reknowned Tirah, and although potent, in my very personnal opinion, it doesn't compare to Kashmiri material. The only smoke I have encountered which were more psychedelic than Kashmir matrial is buds coming from Zaïre.
The pressing process does kill some of the stickiness, without a doubt, and if not kept properly it dries out quickly, but still retain its unique properties. The taste is somewhat reminding, to me, of some nice imported african ganja and that's one of the reason it's among my favs.

Did you have the opportunity to sample some Attar (means "perfume", and is cream-like material) or any hand rubbed charas ? Amazing material it is. Some have a splendid peppery-citrus flavour and the effect is intensely psychedelic. Not for the faint-hearted or novice smoker.

Hmmm, I'd rather think that charas beats the gardah. If you talk about the charas you buy already pressed, like those flat stripes that are often proposed in Pakistan, then yes, it's oftenly adulterated. But I definitely prefer to hand-press the gardah so as to make the resin to express its full potential, tastewise and potency-wise. it's important to get in enough oxygen and heat prior to consumption, so as to induce the chemical reactions needed to get the whole spectrum of cannabinoids, but also of terpenoids & flavonoids which plays a great role in the quality of the high.

But as you say, like with many other things, it's a question of taste !

Same story happening in and around manali, vasist there i was chocked, the locals is selling import from nepal and the worst off its kind with hemp oil unsmokabel and very unhealthy

eheh, yeah, these tourist spots are no good place to stock up. I've been offered horrible things in 2002 there. One was only a mix of plant matter, some resinous charas-like material and all was bent together by some kind of brown juice which left your hands all brown and sticky.

yo man is this an ALVERMAN chiloom?..
I'm italian and I love smoke some hash in a good chiloom like this..
Alverman rulez

Aw, sorry but I don't remember at all. It belonged to an friendly Israeli guy who invited us for chillum. It might be italian indeed as it's the big thing in Parvati valley.
