What's new

I am also doing a 12-12 from seed grow.

I can't knock Nirvana in terms of a good place to start, the genetics aren't garbage but just seemingly F2 generations of the strain it represents, lots of variation. Good for a learning experience and selection if you have some patience, but theres definetely a few gems hanging around in there. I wonder if their Chrystal has anything to do with the Chrystal Ship going around the bay about a year ago...can't remember who was breeding it... anywho, I ran Nirvana White Rhino and Northern Lights and both faired decent, had to shut down the setup at the time but gifted some 4 clones (2 of each, 1 purple 1 green pheno each) to a buddy and he still runs them from time to time. The rhino is super potent, but kind of blah in the taste and smell department. The NL was a little more fruity and sativa dom. than I expected, and the keepers went nearly 70 days to finish but were really nothing to write off, nice and potent, fruity/hashy stank nuggets. Do some strain research on here, the search bar will help you tremendously as far as grow reports go, I find its it rounds the idea of a strain in your head alot more accurately than a breeder description can. Keep it coming, I've had fun watching your 12/12 girls alongside mine, can't wait too see how we all make out! :dueling: :joint:

now she is 4 1/2 weeks flowering. I hope that she makes it all the way to 10-12 weeks.

I hope to get at around 1 Oz off her. but I cant seem to get rid of her bugs. waaa. I keep having to spray the bugs off every day.

Im gunna let her flower as long as possable.

thanks for stoping by.

if you have spider mites then i wish you the best of luck...
Finish your grow as good as possible, then tear down the room, sterilize anything you plan on using again (i found them in my ballast box for example...) and use new, fresh materials and make sure to KEEP THEM AWAY. This can be harder than it sounds. Mites are resilient little fuckers, and you need them out of your grow location if you plan on setting up another grow.
Imho, trying to control a problem now that got so out of hand is not going to cut it. Try to live with the bugs as best as you can. After the grow, disassemble and clean everything, and then eradicate the mites. And i mean it. I don't know much details about your location, but make sure they are gone before you think about growing another plant.

Cheers,
Rave :rasta:

yeah mites crush dreams in our line of hobby...I highly reccommend (can't remember the brand name) Fruit Tree Spray if it is a mite problem, its a neem extract and is safe for your buds to spray on, and will help control them. Like Rave said, the only real way to be sure is break it down and steralize post op. Cheers, and best of luck.

In early to mid spring I keep an eye out for lady bugs. They'll eat insects but not plants. Catch several and put em in a jar. Release them in the grow room and they'll start eating.

Make sure you get orange with dark brown/black spots. The brown ones with darker brown spots are Mexican beetles. They will nibble on yer leaves. Good luck.

EDIT: put screens on yer circ fans or you'll have lady bug milkshake.

Ok well... I just love taking pix of my plants. u need to zoom in on the pix.
first up is the sativa.

next up is the 2 cheese plants I have.

cheesebuds - these are really looking GREAT! You think you'll only get an ounce from the sativa - I bet you do better than that!! Keep em' growing, hope the neem does it's job for you!

Be wary of mold when you do spray - I lost 2 outdoor girls because I sprayed them late into flower - man, that really sucked, they were both around 6' tall and bushy! Do you blow a fan on them?

yah after this grow I am gunna need to do a major DE BUGGING AND CLEANING. thats for sure. what is best for that?

thanks for stoping by my pps.

nice looking shots man, i had a feeling she was gonna bulk up nicely. Looks to be a good resin producer for a random bagseed too! I've got an indica bagseed coming down in about a week or so give or take, shes packin on triches like no tommarrow but is unfortunately only 7" tall! haha ive got a sativa bagseed going at about 3 weeks in, hope she turns out as nice as yours!

glad to hear the bugs arent forming a colony on your girls, not sure if you used it but the need spray is good stuff, but as I2Kan said, you need to watch them for mold if the humidity is up and your spraying often. Otherwise the stuffs golden. Keep it commin!

I do have 2 of the sticky paper hanging in there. but only caut a few flys.

The no pest strips are not sticky-paper, they emit a chemical insecticide. Granted, some feel that they don't want that near their girls, but if things get worse, they do the job, and will get rid of the little critters.
