I want to get a vaporizer and was wondering whatchall think would be the best..... for under $200. Thanks!

There is one at my local smoke shop for $55 and my buddy bought it and says its the best investment he's made in a long while... I still want a volcano w/bag cause I had the tube style vaporizor back in the day and it just didn't satify my needs.

Hmm.. the heat gun sounds like a cheap way to get good results... Im lookin for something just for at home to keep our lungs clean and something that works good. Ideally Id go for a volcano but it costs too much.

I am a big fan of my vapor brothers. It's never failed me, and it has a lifetime warranty. The people are easy to deal with too, I had a part crack (the heating stem on the outside, by my stupidity with water while it was hot) and they said they will fix it under warranty, I just haven't gotten around to sending it in :). It's not cracked through to the inside, so no glass in there, but I should do it soon before I break it more. I just like to use it!

Here's one of the best parts:
I used an extra rubber cork/gasket thing from my hookah to put on the glass bulb at the end of the tube. This makes it plug right into my glass-stem bong, and also into the top of a 2 or 3L bottle-type gravity bong. These let you get monster filtered hits for yourself, or some party rips out of the GB.

The vapor comes out so thick sometimes (particularly with the GB) that it's completely opaque. And it ain't burning, nobody say that, I know what I am doing with this thing.

That's enough endorsement for them; lemme just say, I highly suggest for someone looking for a solid vape but not trying to buy something ridiculously costly.

Enjoy!

i-Olite portable vaporizer (formerly known as i-inhale) is around $193 on vapefiend.com. I've heard nothing but good reviews. Very stealthy, lightweight, small, portable, runs on butane, very tasty vapor. I just tried one today for the very first time from a friend who ordered one. I am VERY convinced. I already own a Volcano Digit but I am definatly getting an i-Olite in the near future. The price isn't too bad either, I spend that filling my car 3 times. A lot of people have mentioned how they use it in so many public places and people don't have a clue. :2cents:

I had the vapor brothers hands free too, and I loved it. It holds it's temp pretty well and you can get it for around 150 online

if you gave me a vape bros. i'd say i never want to vape again, ever. no point.

give me a volcano, and i'll vape a few times a month.

im no vape-head, but anything like a vape bros is a waste of time and money.

aparently you don't know what you are doing, this is why the VB sucks balls.

If you're looking for a good vape, I cannot recommend the VaporGenie enough. It's entirely portable, lifetime guarantee, lightweight, sturdy, and once you get the hang on it you can draw some enormous hits from it. I have tried vapes costing twice as much as the VaporGenie and the hits I got are pathetic in comparison.

A friend of mine basically laughed at the thought of a vaporizer like the VaporGenie getting him high. I loaded him a bowl and gave him the lighter. I explained how to use it and, after a couple of goes, he took a big draw off of it, leaned forward, eyes went wide open, and he looked stunned - like someone had kicked him in the testicles. The hit completely took him out. And this is a 2g a day smoker I'm talking about too.

Oh yeah, I nearly forgot to mention. It's only $50. I got the handcarved teak VaporGenie, but there are various models available on their website.

Here's a picture of the silicone carbide insert that makes this thing work, just so you get an idea of how it works:

Edit: Forgot to mention: There's no warm-up time either. A bowl can be pre-packed and the VG can be slipped into your pocket ready for later use. I use mine in public toilets and have even hidden behind a tree in broad daylight and ripped a few hits from my VG. This was on my lunch break, and I got so stoned that I had to go home because I had no idea what was going on, my head was spinning and I was laughing uncontrollably.

Vaporizers today have stepped up quality to the point where any one you pick will be good. I think the glass stem w/ ceramic heating element are the best for the money, just make sure you have a ceramic heating element specifically, as they are today's standard in health and reliability. Having said that, I still have my vapor brothers from when they were still made using nichrome wire(they do ceramic now) and it's well past it's 5 year warranty. Just avoid nichrome wire though, as that's what a lot of cheap chinese knockoffs are using. It'll work(I'm fine), but it's considered outdated.

Not cheap, but Volcano is the mack-daddy. You really don't want to buy something you'll need to "upgrade" from. I've had experience with the Vapor Bros. and as someone stated earlier, if I had to use it: I'd probably not vape at all. I gave it up years back because the VB model was so weaksauce. I did purchase an iInhale, and it's great but not ideal as your only vaporizer. The Volcano on the other hand is a picture perfect vaporizer. I went from smoking constantly to a couple of vapor bags a day. Love that thing!

Here's a link to the Volcano thread FYI:

What are you talking about man? I own a vapor brothers the new ceramic one and this vaporizer is awesome!!! Why does the VB suck balls? Trust me Get Mo get the Vapor Brothers it WON'T let you down. It gets you rip and you can put it on certain settings so the smoke is like intense. I usually put mine on 11 or 12 o clock and it rips!!! Also if you get one you can't beat this deal on http://www.vaporwarehouse.com/hands-free-vaporizers.html which is free shipping if you order something over $50. So basically you get one for $160 and it rips just as nice as a Volcano... Plus a lifetime warranty! Don't get the old one...get the new one..."hands free" trust me man, I don't know why everyone is bashing on VB's. There is absolutly nothing wrong with them and they rip and conserve as much bud as a volcano.

um.. not hatin here but there are plenty of poorly made, poorly designed vaporizers on the market.

conduction heating design for example...

also my friend had a vapir unit which quickly died on him.

I can contest to that because my friend had a vapir unit and it broke within 3 months. Also that thing is loud and annoying and burnt my lip!!

the point of vaping isn't to combust though. thats what the VB is more prone to doing than the volcano.

there should be vaporizers that are considered 50% vape and 50% combustion b/c thats how people use em.

the idea of the volcano is 100% vaping which is the way to go if you are gonna vape..
