Pepper smelling strains

If you've grown or smoked a peppery strain please write it down here.
Both commercially available strains and "landrace" experiences are welcome. It's my favorite smell in cannabis, but it's not common in a lot of commercial available strains at all. But I guess it's quite common in a lot of local sativa lines.

I've already read about kali mist smelling like pepper. My own experiences are the local weed when I was in Palestine/Israel and one pheno I got of Early pearl (afghan X mexican).

Peace out

I haven't had them in years but back when the original Silver Haze and NL5xHaze from Sensi came out they had some serious peppery phenos. The Silver Haze had more spicy pepper flavor than anything I have ever had.

They say there are some phenos in the real Super Silver Haze and Neville's Haze from Mr. Nice Seeds. The GHS versions are nothing more than F2's and cheap knock-offs since Shanti and Neville jumped ship. I haven't found a peppery pheno in SSH yet but I am still looking! About to flip a new seed plant though and just got a pack of Mango Haze, which came from the same breeding project that SSH was born from, it is also rumored to have some peppery phenos.

I believe Shantibaba said the pepper came from the Columbian in the Haze.

Has anyone grown Silver Haze back when it came out and recently to tell us if it is still the same?

Shanti is about to release NLxHaze from Neville's old stock (Neville is part of Mr. Nice seeds if ya'll don't know) so we may get some pepper back in the rotation.

Good luck on your search for peppery goodness, I am on the same journey....

Only for a couple of days, yes!

erbium, nice post. I've always been kind of interested in silver haze. btw, I've read silver haze (despite it's name) actually contains no haze genes.

My (Thai Haze x Skunk #1) From Sam has a very lemon & freshly cracked black pepper smell, huge yield of dense sticky buds if grown outside but will take a good 14 weeks to finish her right.

And Black Death from CS has a very Peppery pheno!

My Highland Oaxacan Gold has a very peppery, spicy smell mixed with diesel and faint rotten fruit. It's quite odd, but dries sweeter and fruitier, but the peppery smell remains. I have a bottle of black pepper oil, and it is quite similar, though that's incredibly concentrated, so hard to make a qualified judgement, but I think I'll make a small tester swatch to see.

I can't say the aroma was peppery, though it was spicy, but the taste was pure pepper on the tongue! It was called 'Pure Power Plant x Mikado'. I have no more info on it than that though, as it was obtained from my caregiver and I didn't ask more about it, though I should have.

I loved it, I sprinkled it on top of every bowl of medicine I consumed for the next month because I just loved the flavor. It was a good smoke in its own right, but sprinkled on top it made every other smoke that much better. I'm thinking it was the Mikado that lent it its extreme peppery flavor, but what do I know?

Ok, so it seems pheno's in the "white family" can smell peperry.

I associate pepper-smell more with sativas but It seems the smell can occur in both sativas and indicas. The straight indica being the m39 endlesssummer brought up.(?)

Thanks for the input so far!

well m-39 is an indica selection from Skunk #1 x NL #5, very quick producer without an incriminating aroma.

when grown organically and flushed properly the smell is extremely close to peppercorn, slightly thicker with slightly less of the irritating upper bite of pepper.

afew months back i bought some jack herer from a dealer in the area and it smelled real peppery. some of the best ive ever smoked. he coulda been bullshittin on the name idk..got some real lemon skunk off him too tho,,so who knows...
