I love animals more than most humans..
Here's my little pita (she lives up to her name)
And in training to be a road cat..
3 months into our life together, she went in for a neutering- the surgery went totally sideways- when they incubated her, they tore her airway just a tiny bit. They didn't notice it, and sent her home. About a week later, I hear her coughing, see blood, and she looks like a balloon. Her esophagus had torn open, and her skin was ballooning off her frame. Freaked me out!! Well, after 5 days in emergency care, she returned to me. They had to stitch up her esophagus from her stomach, and during the procedure, she had a lung collapse. I figure she used up a few of her 9 lives on that operating room table. Cost me well over $4K, but I would do it again at the drop of a hat. Her life is worth more than most humans...
Lastly, here is my doggy of 48 hours.. I bought him on Venice beach last year. Suppose to been a pure bread, papered, and chipped. Unfortunately, I left him with my mom, and he got out of the fence, never to be heard of again Some day, I'll have me a doggie (well, two of them) again, just gotta wait until I have a yard big enough for them..
Aww Pita kitty...she was worth it. I don't even think about the money when my animals are sick....I've almost lost 2 cats and a lizzard over the last 8 years. They made it...many struggles and critical moments. But my babies are all well.
I love you for what you did for Pita...:kitty:
