Sun is shining, the weather is sweet yea! :yeahthats

So i desided to do some work in the garden, have been thinking about this years grow a lot. Made some plans, and now im pretty sure i need to re-think them again. Oh well, i dont mind thinking about weed, so ill do that.. figured i would do some thinking in here.

First, i wanted to do 3 different grows this year.

first grow in my backyard, like last year, but this year do a seed grow there.

Second grow in a cornfield, with early danish strains, make me some sensimilla.

third grow, a guerilla style, with some later strains that i can not finish in the corn, but i can keep in the garden because of the seedgrow.

I think that this is still my plan, though im not sure its gonna work as i intended, as some of the seeds i was planning to use newer showed up... They might still get here, i guess i will find out. But that really affects all my planned grows. Anyway, this weekend i desided that there was no reason to wait any longer, and started working in the garden.

Now a second problem i have, is there are no obvious places to sprout my beans, and start out the grow.. My windows are not great, i dont have room for an indoor grow, and i have no greenhouse. :joint:

So i started thinking.. and thinking some more. Then i smoked a bit.. took a few naps in betweem thinking and somewhere i had this idea:

DSC02254.jpg

I use my raised vegetable beds, cover them with plastic and use it as a greenhouse. To give the little ones a boost, and also to protect from the frost, which could very likely hit.

a look inside:
DSC02256.jpg

I planted this this Sunday, and i have checked it out a couple of times since, it seems to work, though no sprouts yet. Its nice and tosty down there, but i dont think it will ever get too hot, because its thin plastic.

Ok, now to what i planted... I was thinking i would have more of a selection, but i still think it can be a pretty good show:

AK47 (auto) x 5
Diesel ryder x 5
Danish Passion x 4
Early Durban x 3
Passion nr. 1 x 4
Leb 27 x 3
(c99xGG) x LS x4
Royal Dane x 2
C99xBlackberry x 2
DSD x 2

Im guessing DP is going to end up in a cornfield, along with RD and Leb27. The rest might end up in my backyard, perhaps ill take a few Passion nr. 1 and ED somewhere to do a tiny guerilla grow.. I dunno, the lineup is not as impressive as i would have liked. And I guess u might wonder what C99xBlackberry and the Double Strawberry Diesel are doing on my list, well i really wanted to do an indoor grow with those, but in the end i had no room.. so i figured i might as well play with them a bit to see what they can do here, im sure they wont finish, but perhaps i can cross them with something, early like DP.

We will se how it goes! :joint:

great inspiration
and yes its a little early but with some protective measures like plastic coverings etc its possible
i also expect to start germinating the first seeds within the next few days

actually your idea on doing them directly on the ground and then do the covering there has inspired me to new ideas
i had the idea i would do some of them on a raised table 1,2 x 2,4 cm with foam insulation but your idea made me think other vise
i just ordered cell seed trays for 1200 seeds on ebay ( at 10 £ its a bargain http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/100-X-12-CELL...photoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262 )
when they arrive ill see how the total measure is and ill fence in the appropriate area on the ground with some foam insulation on the sides and cover it with think reinforced plastic
the seeds ill germinate inside and put them out as soon as they sprout under the plastic covered area so they should already have some size when they are ready to be put into pots in mid may and remove plastic when theres no more risk of frost

Thx for the welcome guys :smoke:

I desided to add a few more strains to the list:

blueberry x 2
Hashplant x 2
IndicaX x 2

The reason why i didnt include them before was because i really wanted to do indoor grows with those, esp. the blueberry. But since i know i wont be doing that for a couple of years, i might as well use them. Hopefully cross them with something early, and get something to work with next year.

gunnar; I dont know if u can tell on the pic's but i just used some extra dirt to insulate the sides. That way the plants almost stand in a little hole... I thought it would be a bit easier than insulating 1200 plants with foam.. anyway, good luck, i hope it works.. im still waiting for sprouts, but then again, it was less than a week ago that i put them in the soil.

Hi again, its been a couple of weeks, so i thought it was time to post a tiny update. There was frost on my car this morning, and seems to have been freezing a few nights here, nothing crazy but still enough to do some damage. So ofc. its interesting to check the little ones and see how they are doing:

an overview tells me that im at 29 sprouts from 36 seeds, which is pretty good.. Some might still deside to join the party.
DSC02279.jpg

A little look at the autoflowers, left is ak47 middle is diesel.. right i dont remember.. glad i wrote it down somewhere.. wait thats danish passion :noway:
DSC02280.jpg

diesels are looking very healthy.

Most vigorous plants so far:
DSC02282.jpg

Rez-dogs double strawberry diesels!

least vigorous:
DSC02283.jpg

c99xblackberry one seed was a dud, and the other one is just about to come up now.

Ofc. i have some that are doing even worse, no royal dane and 1 danish passion out of 4.. from the same seed-vendor... Had the same problem with those seeds last year, so im not buying from there (local danish seedshop).

All in all my terrible cheep greenhouse seems to be working, had to add plastic underneath the plants today, because some where starting to grow their roots trough the ehm whats it called, "jiffy tube like thingys"... Bug attacks are minimal so far, lost 1 leaf.. no deaths to bugs.. droughts or frost... so :woohoo:

Hey again, yesterday i desided to move the plants from their plastic bubble homes. The following pic. of a diesel ryder should give u some understanding of why:
DSC02297.jpg

Apparently a slug moved in some weeks ago, and has grown fat on my plants, taking bigger ang bigger bites. It has acktually killed 1 and a few are looking like they might not survive the attacks..

Still overall it looks pretty good:
DSC02298.jpg

I moved most of the plants to where i did most of my growing last year, and the early danish strains are moved to a table, while i try to figure out what to do with them.. I was planning on putting them in the cornfields, but i have been out too early. The corn is just starting to poke up of the ground.. so ill try to figure out what to do with them the next days.

Biggest dissapointment so far, is the c99 x Blackberry.. if u scroll up u can see how the one seed that popped was doing about 10 days ago.. and here it is now:
DSC02295.jpg

I really dont know why its not growing... its probably going to die.. whats with that! It has gotten the exackt same treatment as all the other seeds..

Anyway, hope u are all enjoying the spring!

Ok, have not posted much yet, but thats manly because not much is going on here. Everything is growing a little every day, exept the C99xblackberry which newer grew more than the above pic... Which is a bit of a bummer, since they where pretty expensive.. But still life goes on. Sometime this winter i was at a small party with some friends. Their roommate, had been given a huge box of weed, of which i got a little to sample. There was a green pheno, which was very sticky, extremely sticky for danish standards. It had been grown outdoors by some local with not much experience. Well at the pary i rolled a small joint, and smoked half my self.. and i was knocked on my ass! It has not happened to me since i was a teenager, so i was pretty surprised.. And also a bit embarrased, as i passed out. Well the greenpheno had no seeds in it but there was a purple pheno that was fully seeded.. Now i dont know why this one was and not the green one.. dont know anything about the guy that grew it, just that i was knocked on my ass.. I have a bit left of the green stuff, so here is a couple of pics:
IMG_0036.jpg

IMG_0037.jpg

I gathered some seeds from the purple pheno.. hoping ofc to get me some of that Knocked On My Ass weed.. (K.O.M.A.)..
Some of them look like they could be usable. Going to try to sprout them today.
IMG_0040.jpg

Besides that not much to tell.. ill take a few pics one of these days, but untill then.

Stay safe!

Ok, so im not really doing a great job of updating this tread.. well ill do a quick one now.

Ok, so a couple of the KOMA seeds have come up.. not much to look at yet, but im a bit exited.
IMG_0069.jpg

Besides that things are going well, in my hidden spot.. a hasty overview pic:
IMG_0072.jpg

and another:
IMG_0073.jpg

As u can see, things are growing.. which is nice, since that was the plan... Some stuff is doing better than other, but in general everything is doing fairly well.
My HP's are doing very well, considering they are a few weeks behind everything else:
IMG_0083.jpg

My EarlyDurbans are alive, the 2 that where almost killed by slugs are far behind now, but are alive and kicking.. and the third which was not damaged is doing very well:
IMG_0090.jpg

Passion nr. 1 is going strong:
IMG_0093.jpg

Of my Diesel ryders, and auto ak47 i have almost gotten all males.. of 5 diesels 1 is a female.. I plan to make seeds, and therefore i am going to leave the males this year.. though i might move the week ones..
IMG_0075.jpg

The DSD are still fairly good looking.. though they have slowed down a lot. It might be because it has been colder the last few weeks..

Also, i might have a rodent problem.. in the middle of my grow
IMG_0099.jpg

I dont know what kind of rodent.. but im afraid the wholes are way too big for a mouse... which makes me think of rats... rats... any advice on this problem are very very welcome!!!!

Besides that i have done a bit to improve my grow spot.. by hacking this huge branch off.. took for ever, but hopefully it will give some more sun to my plants!

bad thing about the males..I'd have loved to see some auto buds here. but you got enough little plants hiding in the grass.

Thx guys! Things are going fairly well this year. Biggest problem was the seeds that did not come as expected.. That really set my plans back a lot, but has also pushed me to get my first real seed-grow going! Im a bit exited about that, as it’s a new adventure for me. Ill update in a couple of weekends, when there is a bit to report!

Thx guys :smoke:

Things are going pretty well, slow and safe.. safety being my top priority still... Dont need six feet plants, rather two that are tree feet. But having said that, I think my plants are looking fairly good this year, im pretty sure things are going better than last year.. But its hard to know for sure.. and last year I had a plentiful harvest!

This year im sticking to the plan on doing a few seeds.. At least with the autoflowering strains.. I had a lot of male af's this year, killed all but my favorite:

diesel ryder male:
IMG_0155.jpg

Plan to use it to polenate my AK autos.. who are getting bitten a little bit, but they are fairly big for autos, esp. ones that are grown in the shadow of a huge tree...
IMG_0159.jpg

IMG_0160.jpg

So that plan is moving forward nicely.. next up is my (c99 x gg) x ls i would have imagined these to be autoflowring, but i have not seen any signs of sex before today.. at least one of them is female.. no male signs so far.. I liked the c99xgg from last year, but it was not very sticky at all. The smoke was good though, so im hoping that the ls will add some stickyness to it.. we will see.. They are growing very nicely for sure, some of the most vigourous plants i have this year:
IMG_0150.jpg

IMG_0152.jpg

A quick look at KOMA:
IMG_0154.jpg

yep that one has been eaten..
IMG_0153.jpg

This one is looking a bit better, has started to grow.. hope to get to se what this one can do.

A quick look at the passion nr. 1
IMG_0163.jpg

It looks like they are getting attacked as well, but i think it looked the same last year.. still, going well.

Early Durban:
IMG_0164.jpg

This is the one that had not been attacked by slugs, and it is by far my healthiest looking plant.. The others are still alive, though a bit behind.

My hp's are doing well, also a bit behind, but healthy:
IMG_0161.jpg

And in the end a look at my DSD, which is doing fairly well.. its thinner and looks fragile, but it looks like its getting a bit better every week.
IMG_0165.jpg

My two guerilla grows i have not checked on in a while.. but hopefully i can swing by before next update.. in a few weeks :joint:

Stay safe

Slapstick champ...wonderfull grow..i like the sounds and the looks on ya planning to breed diesel ryder and auto ak , awesome whit fast Genetics.
if ya like then here is a tip 4 them fast growing but useual small genetics
My plot position in my garden does that all my plants stretch after the sun almost like they where tied down but they just " tilted ".
The difference is , no side shots growing directly up into the air from one side of the trunk but from all sides of the trunk and up in the air: D so if you tie your plants down so they are pulled oblique ,you'll get much more bushy and larger plants than if you tie them down to grown : D tilt them bitches :D all my plants in plot are " tilted " and so fare its good :D
As theese auto ak47, stretching after the sun, plus they have been blown tilted ...

So far i have been very impressed by those auto ak's. they are really quite big for an af... The diesel is however a bit small, but the female, the one tiny female, is very sticky and smells very potent..
I might have to plant the rest of my diesel and ak seeds.. im still trying to deside.. I was thinking about putting them in large buckets, like you did with the bigbud last year.. and then have them out in the open.. and move them if i have guests..
On a side note.. i had planted 13-15 (c99xgg) x ww in a guerilla grow.. the perfect spot i thought, untill i checked them today.. someone had been there to spray all the "bearclaw" (bjørneklo)... Ofc. they killed my lovely little plants.. guess i wont be growing there again  (guess not so much a side note, when, since this is the reason why i might need to plant the rest of my AF seeds)

Oh well.. u live u learn! stay safe!
