all he needed was the ariel atom, it destroys all the other he bought/has. i mean once you got the ariel, all you need is the v-12 BMW 760 coming out and add a super charger and NOS, then you got a super duper sports car(that looks like one) and then your luxury sedan with megga muscle)

The 4.0 liter V8 (1uzfe) from Lexus is bullet proof.

Everyone does the Supra conversion, even me.

I had a converted SC300 before my V.

Now I want something a bit different.

i love the 1uzfe smoothest V8 in the world IMO.

i got to drive a friends mom's new Lexus 450 thing is fucking VIP for sure and it sounds so nice strait from the factory with plenty of power.

yea the supra conversion is common and could probably make more power for cheaper but that V8 is heavenly , Toyota knows how to engineer their shit to last and be builit proof.

seams allot of people on here have a hard on for the new GT-R's. with it being such an advanced car and all it has been plagued with transmission issues once traction control comes off. it just cant handle hard launches.(http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=25361). the dude had to pay for the 20,000$ trans after he broke it when traction control using Launch control which can only be accessed with VDC when it was off ,voids the warranty if you take VDC off, im sorry a sports car is intended to be beatin on not driving miss dazy if they could not build there AWD to keep it from breaking after 2-3 hard launches then they need to do some better engineering or go back to their R34 trans.

lets hope they fix the issues with the new models especially the V spec (i am sure they will if they haven't already). i am just as much a Nissan fan boy as most (hell i drive an older Nissan and love the older 240Z's and Skylines) the R34 is still a sexy sexy car probably my top ten as far as car bodies go hell my top 10 cars of all time.

i still would own a C6 Z06 (505 hp 3100 pounds)over the new GT-R (473hp 3800 pounds) any day of the week not only would parts be cheaper for the Z06 it would probably be way more reliable and wouldn't void the warranty if i wanted to take traction control off and kill some tires. AWD is great in the rain and snow but it is also much heaver and the Drive train loss is more than RWD which is more than FWD it being the most efficent thats why most manufactures of cheaper cars have mostly FWD because its both easier to manufacture and more effiecent in power delivery. but i love RWD and i think its the right platform for spirited drivers AWD is nice for laying down the power if you have alot of it but the extra weight and power train loss is a nusance.

my "i've made it" car is a E39 M5 i love the 4.9L V8 Double Vanos that revs to 8300 rpm, electronic ITB's, its injector's are pointing strait down into the ITB's like an F1 V8 it is a sick sick motor its like 2 freaking sports bike motors rev's so quick and they sound amazing. 400hp stock in a family 4 door is just insane with a a few simple mods your looking at 500hp easy. and the real kicker is there going for around 30,000-40,000 for low miles which is reasonable and will drop even further in a couple of years when i get out of college. yea i know the BMW douche aura (cops hate BMW's) that comes with them but really i don't care what other people think about my taste in cars because i dont use my car to impress people i use it to have fun and get from A to B.

iGro4me sorry for the rant and thread jacking. you car is extremely clean looking (the girl is nice to) i love the blacked out grill (looks so much cleaner) i have told my roomate he needs to black his out his on the E30 (it would be black on black) but he is into the blinged out crome.

True Nissan will sell you a completely new tranny for 20k...

Or you can have it Rebuilt with about 1500 worth of parts.

Doesn't matter anymore, because the LC has been revised and is completely covered under warranty. Also, it took about 75-100 launches before the tranny gave way, not 2-3. Regardless, it is a non-issue, as all of the 2009s have been re flashed with the new software. Consumers have a choice of old or new LC, if they had the car prior to the new LC. Also, the amount of trannies that have had issues, is around 2-4% of the GT-Rs sold. It is a classic case of stupid owner, abusing their car.

Even in a Z06 you can't clutch drop it 4500 rpm 100 times and think it will be ok...

Just so you know, all the new (2010) manual Corvettes now have launch control....I wonder why?

nycd: I love the atom, but it is the epitome of a toy. Not much practicality in that thing, especially when it costs 40-50k.

This one's more than likely a re-prod. being it has all that chrome. The real 427C model was Black Matte finish Headers and no bumper trim.

Regardless, one of the finest Supercars EVER built, real motor-heads could bust-a-nut just listening to this mean son-of-a-bitch at idle

slantnoses have that distinct style to them......some hate it....a few of us love it

car is hemp composite (was lighter than there carbon fiber model by 70 pounds but not as strong) and even runs off hemp oil and the interior is made of many hemp products.

first Diesel engines ever made ran off of vegetable oils. and its Inventor Rudolf Diesel wanted to run it off of hemp. Diesel's death might have been suicide, accidental or an assassination he died in 1913 mysteriously. in 1937 hemp was outlawed in U.S

I bought one of these new off the lot in '72, it was a '71 leftover and
the last of the convertibles in the Barracuda/Challenger line. My car had 600 miles on
it as the dealer used the ragtop for demos in the nicer weather. My car was
this exact color known as 'Curious Yellow', it was a high impact paint introduced
by the Chrysler corp in '71. Curiously enough the name of the color was a
direct reference to the 1967 X-rated Swedish film 'I Am Curious Yellow'. Odd choice imo.


My car came equiped with the 318 V-8, Ralleye wheels, Slap Stick console
shifter (a neat option), and already had a sweet assed 8 Track tape deck.......




Not sure of the color but this '73 Cuda was worth honorable mention.
EDIT: oh, it's blue.......




'70 Cuda with Hemi & Shaker Hood options. I like the cool advertisement by Chrysler.
A '71 ragtop usually sells for 65-70K now, if you were one of the lucky 11 to have bought
a ragtop 426 Hemi engined Cuda & still had it you could get as much as 2 million $ for it!



Laughing in the face of danger by posting pics this is my current project car, it's a
'72 Cougar w/the original high performance 351 Cleveland engine option.
This car needs everything from paint to interior work but is so much fun to drive it'll
be worth the effort to restore. Right now it does 90mph down the road &
tracks straight as can be, I'd go faster but the rubber is not new & I didn't get to be
my age by being foolish, after buying some fresh rubber though I'll bury that speedo
needle right into the glove box, this fucker really moves w/the hi-po 351.


Originally a California car it is 98% rust free, I even tore up the carpeting before
I bought it, it obviously sat in the desert for years based on its condition. It goes in for
paint & a new ragtop in just a few short weeks, sorry but no pics after restoring it.


I'm either going back to the original medium Avacado Green color which is a
sweet retro color imo or I'll be doing a custom 'Stars n' Stripes' paint job on it.
My painter owes me a few bucks and so I'll have an old debt paid in full & increase
the cars over all value by quite a bit. Below is the NADA blue book value for it.

Nobody really associates me w/this car & so it's safe to show, I bought it last August
and although I put over 3K miles on it at that time it was mostly out of
town driving, none of the locals here don't even know I own this car, yet.......

I'd tell that biatch to get her heel off my bumper so as not to scratch the chrome and devalue my car. A few weeks back rolled in for gas at a station in Oregon and what rolls up next to me...a red '70 convertible Challenger with a 426 and shaker...first one I've ever seen...just SWEET! The fucker had aftermarket rims though...LOL.

Dude...I vote you go for stock on the restore. Looks like a VERY solid car to work with.

That's a shame. I bet that car will look great after being returned to its former glory. I understand security though.

There's some great cars in this thread. I remember when I was younger and my Father had a racing spec Reliant Scimitar. Older cars seem to have this character about them that no new car can replicate.

On another note, I had to run to the WaWa to top off my gas containers after cutting the grass, lo and behold an "09" GT-R pulls into the stall next to me.

I have to say that the pictures do it NO JUSTICE....It was an older-ish dude driving it(60 maybe) and we got to bullshitting about the car. I asked him if he's ever used the launch feature and he replied "It doesn't need it". By the look on his face, I believed him :joint:

The car is pretty imposing in person and if any of you guys are ever tooling around near a dealership, I highly recommend popping in to see it first-hand.

Gold-toned, what looked to be Brembo, over-sized calipers with HUGE slotted/drilled rotors......this thing means business man. :dueling:
