stuff is starting to fatten up pretty fast. I can starting to see chop chop time in some 10 - 20 more days Trichomes are like 90% cloudy and 10 % clear, a week ago they were like 50 clear 50 cloudy.

Unfortunatley, there are some slight hermies in there that popped the odd ball here and there, nothing too bad. So far i found 5 seeds developing on the plants in the smallest pots. I plucked away some of the balls, and i think i will be just fine, considering i harvest in 10 - 20 days.

The hermie-seeds are on the bottom branches lower part so far, i hope i get some viable seeds out of this. i'll probably harvest everything except some seeded buds. I also started another project. Some dank chronic i bought on the street had a few nanners in it, i picked them off and rubbed them on the pistils of one of my four little wayward plants. The pistils started to turn brown, and i hope i fertilised them. Those will be my next "mystery seeds", because i really don't want to spend money on seeds. And for the hermie issues... It's not a real issue. They are not full on hermies, just on the lower branches some plants are growing one or two balls. I think that's actually cool, because that way i have more seeds for my future grows

also, the more time i spend in my garden the more i want to rip off a little bud and have a tester or two ... I resist that temptation though, because i have other weed to smoke, and the sample would most likely be disappointing.

Looking really nice there! Getting close to chop chop date What did you have in mind for the size of your new cab size wise? Maybe I can interest you in making a " grow tunnel" reflector for it, I think you would be happy with the spread of the light. Check out my grow to get an idea of what it looks like and if you want, I can give you all of the directions how to make it.

Sorry mate, my 150 reflector is already built, i used the octagonal style, but didn't make the bends sharp enough, so it's rather round-shaped.
It still works like a charm though, and i appreciate you trying to help me out

My new cab will be something along the linesd of 1'x2', not much bigger than the reflector. That's why i chose this style. I will go check out your thread now. 'later mate !

Sooo... Harvest time is approaching
i can deff. tell that the plants are "done" now. They used to use all the water they had, and whenever i watered, 24 hours later the soil would be completley dry. Now, i water once and the soil stays moist for 2 - 3 days. They are slowing down, and coincidentally the first pistils turn brown. Plus, all big fan-leaves are getting yellow-lime hues, just like they would in fall.

Trichomes are still 90% cloudy 10% clear, i hope that changes soon. Either way, all they will get from now on is plain water and molasses. It has been day 42 of 12/12, and i will let them ripen till maybe 50 - 55 days and judge according to trichome color. I feel like this is the right time to stop feeding and let them use up eveything they got, since they aren't doing much more growing. anybody has any thoughts on what i am doing?

Big nug ontop of one of the topped plants, it has a good amount of frost on it, and reeks of pepper.

Some "popcorn nugs", i am supprised they are that frosty. I think this proves that potency is not a matter of "light penetration", because all these buds were in the lower canopy and got NO direct light at all.

And here is the biggest nug, from a side point-of-view. It has lots of trichome covered leaves sticking out everywhere, it actually looks sort of intimidating in real life. The smell is a warning as well, because it actually stings your nose if you stick it in there and inhale to sharp. The smell is of pure peppers with a hint of fresh,green herbs.

I will post a smoke report when there is anything to smoke, but i guess not for another two weeks. When would you harvest them, given the information i provided?

Lookin good man! Congrats on that light upgrade too. Thats crazy about the neighbor, you got me sketched out now cause the other day i was mowing lawn and my window was open doing a little venting, and I wondered if i caught a wiff of the girls haha. My neighbor doesn't live too far away either. Oh well, almost chop date over here too so at least it wont be stinking the area up over summer.

fuck... i need odor controll.
I just got home from work, it's 1 am and the lights went off at 10... i had to rip my windows open, i couldn't stand the smell it was that bad. It smelled like... well... cannabis. Like jalapeno peppers with a hint of stale cannabis smoke (probably my fault, lol), and some fresh green herbs. The smell hurts your nose, it's that crazy. Frankly, i am quite shocked. I am usually a person who appreciates the smell of cannabis to the max, but not that intense. I am affraid that the smell will somehow soak into the house, and i can never get rid of it again, kinda like cigarette smoke.

Other than that, Thanks for the comments. I am aiming for some straight up indica shit in it's rawest form. I hope to get some decent nightime-pain meds. The more indica the better. i do not desire the stimulating / creative effects of a sativa this time. I want something that is almost like opium(some AK47 came close to that, lol). In other words, i want a numb, stupid, lazy, couchlock, sedated kinda high. In that case, 100% amber would be the best i suppose? I really don't know too much about the strain, because it's bagseed. I am glad some of the hermies produced seed in this grow, because this way i get to keep that strain without having to keep some mothers alive. Sure they are true hermaphrodites, but i am cool with that. They didn't bother me at all, i actually plucked most nanners (there were only like 10 overall) and used their pollen in a controled way to pollinate more females.my wayward plants are all seeded now, two with nanners from the current grow, and two with nanners i pulled out some weed i bought recently. Yeah, this is going to be the ubber-mystery seed, i am pretty sure the nanners came of some purple kush, i am very excited. I was also suprised to find that the nanners in the buds i bought contained viable pollen. I am looking forward to this for sure.

I already got people flaming me via PM telling me i am a fa**ot for growing and "wasting my time" with bagseed and hermies. I just have one thing to say: Does my current grow look like "wasted time" to you? See, if i can even grow "CRAPPY GAY HERMIE {PLANTZ" and they turn out like that, imagine what i could do with good genetics. I feel like i am wasting my time responding to such a childish attempt at trolling. The two people that flamed me via PM are just jealous. That's all!

wow, just wow... I did something bad today, i took a little sample, quick dried it and smoke it. I am stunned.

The nug i took off was the size of my fingernail maybe, and after drying yielded half a bowl. I put it in the bong, took one big rip, held it in for longer than i thought i would, because the smoke was so nice. It had a green taste to it, with some undefinable funky twist to it on the exhale. It did not burn in my throat like my first bud i ever grew did.
I sat for a minute, and tried to focus more on the taste, but the high was already kicking in. First thing i noticed was, i felt like i was wearing a headband. It felt like there was a very slight force exerting presure on my head. This sensation is something i am used to when i smoke hash. In the next minutes, my brain fogged up hard. Everything became hazy, and i felt like i was soaring when i closed my eyes. These inital effects wore off after about 5 minutes, and i am left with a body euphoria that seems to come on in waves, it's there for a coupple of minutes, then it's gone for a minute, then it comes back. The presure on my head is mostly focused on my temples right now, and it feels really pleasant somehow.

The trics were mostly cloudy and some clear on the sample i took. I am pleased so far, but hope to loose some of that trippy feeling to it. There is still quite a bit of stimulation, and i feel more "up" than "down". Also, i need to keep in mind that this was quite a small sample, picked early. But what i smoked i liked so far. I was especially pleased about how smooth the smoke was. I used the steam-microwave quick dry method, and i expected the smoke to be thick, green tasting, rough and nasty. The smoke was rather smooth, the ash was thin and grey to black. I did not have to cough

All i can say is i am looking forward to harvest, i estimate it to be 2 - 3 weeks away at max. They will get their last feed tomorrow (or when the soil is dry), and then i start the flush. Here is a rough guess at my final weight: i say 60 - 70g's dry. I hope to pull at least 10 grams from each plant in the big pots. Plus, one plant has two lower buds that are seeded. That is fine though. I might be way off about that, i really have no idea what to expect!

I also had the time to take some PROPER pictures, i hope you guys enjoy them. Comments about pictures are always welcome, it's nice to know my effort is making someone else happy

This is a group shot of the biggest plants, as i say, i hope to get at least 10 grams from one plant

One of the two tops on the topped plant, even though the buds on the branches directly below look just as good and big as the top ones. There seem to be two different phenotypes when it comes to this bagseed. This is number one, it grew a bit stretchier in early flower, and the buds seem to be shaped oblong, with thin non-frosted leaves sticking out everywhere, kind of like barbed wire. The bud structure actually somewhat reminds me about sativas.

This is the second phenotype, it grew shorter with little stretch. The buds are really dense and marble like, and the leaves that stick out look a bit retarded and are frosty as hell. also the bud-leaves seem to be wider and shorter compared to the first phenotype.

Closeup of plant #4. It grew in a 6 inch pot and got topped. The plant stretched heavily after topping, and the two top-buds grew together. It is impossible to separate them without breaking them.

i thought i post a quick update.
I am currently on day 51 of 12/12 (7wk) and day 40 of flower (6wk).
Nothing new is happening, the buds are swelling and ripening more and more, and they started to consume their biggest fan leaves. most trichomes are cloudy and some plants are still mostly clelar / cloudy.
Looks like i am going for 9 weeks +, but i am not sweating it too much. I will get some more pics up by tomorrow, everything is going along rather nicely.

Plus, it looks like there will be a few seeds available in a month or soo

Here is the promissed update. It seems like the plants just keep on growing, no harvest time in sight anytime soon. No sign of amber trichomes either, i fed them again today and hope for the best.

i just discovered that there is one plant that is ahead of all others, it has 90% milky trichomes. I couldn't help it but clipped a little sample bud and stuck it in the microwave to dry. This method works surprisingly well by the way. The nug is still somewhat warm and moist, but i am just going to leave it outside on my table for 12 hours or so, and it will be smokable.

anyway, here is the pic. Plant was a full on hermie in the smallest pot, but the hermie ain't too bad, i don't see any new nanners anywhere. Either way, i clipped of a little bottom nug, and here it is.

that's what happens when you do your homework

i am also back from smoking that sample. I am devastated! Dry weight was .3g, i packed a bowl and noticed one thing immedatley. It was bone-mothafucking-dry, like, it would turn to dust if i i applied presure, and i couldn't use scissors, because whenever it made "snip" the sample just bursts into a cloud of dust and goes everywhere. I may overdid it just a bit in the microwave eh ?
Either way, it was enough to smoke a full bowl. Taste was what i am used to (sorry, due to excessive drug use i have lost the sense of smell / taste), the smoke itself was a little more resin-laden than the last time, and was harder to hold in. I coughed like a bitch, but not because the smoke was rough, after the exhale it left a clenched feeling in my lung that lasted for a minute or so. As the feeling faded away the high became more pronounced. Full body stone, the tightness in my chest seemed to spread into my whole body radiating from the lungs, leaving a very relaxed smooth feeling. I can't help that my eyes are falling shut if i don't focus on something. There is an overall relaxed feeling with a verry laid back attitude towards it, the stimulating up feeling from the earlier sample disappeared completley, i would say there is no sativa aspect to it. The body stone is rather subtle, it comes and goes in waves and leaves a tingly feeling to it, and once you put your head down it's hard to find a reason to lift it up again.

Now this is more what i am aiming for, less mind tripy and more stoned. i feel as if i am wrapped in a warm blanket at the moment, lol.
