Stretching from veg to flower

I have 2 White Rhinos that were in veg for about 5 months under T5s. Then I put them outside just recently and already they put on about 5 inches in overall height. I heard that when the sun goes to 12hrs of daylight, weed tends to double (maybe even triple) in size. As of now, theyre almost 4 feet and doubling that would be just enormous (although its not a bad thing and wont be a problem). I still have approximately 4 more months of vegging left to go before they switch to flower. In a nutshell, my question is: Would the plants double or triple in size when the light triggers the flowering cycle?

It really depends on the strain, I know OG loves to stretch when it goes into flower personally Ive never grown White Rhino. However If there not going into flower for another few months you say they haven't started to do that crazy stretch alot of plants tend to do when switched over to flower. Maybe someone else can be more help then I am, that's just my 2 cents.

Ya like themad said some stretch some don't. I've had some og kush x sage that triped in size and I've had some purple kush that got 2 or 3 in taller. I would recommend looking up some others post and most of the time they will mention what the stretch is on the strain. I wish I would have done this with my grape ape because it didn't stretch at all and my blue cheese did so now i have big plants and small plants which isnt ideal for indoor gardening. An outdoor plant is going to be fully sexually mature at flower time...and it will not stretch out like an indoor plant, that was more than likely not mature when placed into flower.
No way it doubles in physical size anyway. What it will do is double in bulk from Aug to ripen.

I cannot tell you specificly what will happen but i hae noticed when growing outdoors the stretch happens oer the course of a month or so. Since the light outside does a more gradual switch towards 12 hours of darkness, the stretch is also more gradual. That may be obvious to some, but i had to grow it to realize it.
