It seems like the only way to get that speedy high is to let the true hazes flower the 120 days or more. Is there any strains that can give you that speedy high without that long flowering, like A11 or C-99.

i have a bagseed haze i run the 10 week andthe 16 week are both java

i would definitely grow hazes but i am limited to outdoor and here is not good climate for hazes so i can't grow them. But my favorite is Tom Hills Pure Haze ... maybe one day when i have indoor ....

I got a question for all of you haze fans. Is it normal to see white pistils in week 3/week 4, but not really see any weight being added up through the 7th week?. I am seeing that with a couple of my haze hybrids. I have grown haze but am not a haze expert and I have never seen anything like it. I tried to take some good pictures but I can't get any clear pictures that will do my situation justice. Basically, I have tons of white pistils (at day 45) but no bud weight what so ever. Its almost like there is no bud at all, just pistils. It alarms me because these pistils started forming so early and I guess I would be seeing some weight by now (at least a little weight). I am concerned but it may just be because I am not in my comfort zone with these hazey plants. Can someone set me straight with whats going on?

Its not the growing conditions. I have a less hazey pheno that is doing great under the same conditions.

Thanks

Strap in and enjoy the ride, kushaze. My haze hybrids from seed behave the same way, but end up heavier than the average indy dom when they finish. 18 weeks from the flip (14+ weeks form the first pistils) sometimes...

But the finished product has yet to let me down on any seedplant that I've taken past 100 days 12/12.

EDIT - a couple of SSH ~7weeks after the flip, after a 4-5 week veg from seed.

These finished ~100 days, and the cuts came in @ ~85 days for the top plant, and ~65 for the bottom plant.

They claim strains like C99's effect only lasts briefly as the smoker builds a tolerance to it. I honestly don't know but I'll probably give a smoke report when my C99 is done, I don't consider my self a heavy smoker. Nothing more than a few grams a day of my own stuff but I haven't had a sativa dominant strain in a long time so I'm sure it'll probably be good at first. But I don't think most people would compare anything that finishes that fast to some of the long flowering haze phenos you can find in certain genetics. I know that I usually end up building my own opinion about something after experiencing it for my self but who knows, only time will tell lol.

c99 is NOT a haze, although its definatly dominant sativa. Its a more clear high then indicas, but not to a paranoid level. I wouldnt call it speedy, buts its a great daytime smoke.
Its a fruity taste not spicy like a haze, and flowers in 7 weeks, with some go to max. 9. Its very short flower and its exceptional smell/taste with the good sativa high is why its very popular amongst some. Its my favourite smoke (Ive grown many different beans), my tolerance of any weed is quite high, and I dont notice much difference with cindie.
I believe its a rare offspring of some Jack herer by bros grimm.

Hammerhead that looks like it will be some good smoke. i have not smoked any haze .but i have been growing kalimist for 7 years. different phenos. i usually run each plant 2x .because i think the clone from a sativa is much better then plants from seed .as with clones you are growing a much mature plant .and you can knock off some time from clone grow.

now kalimist has no haze in it .that's what Simon wrote in a article i read . it has a south east Asian sativa in their.but most say you could not tell kalimist has a range of phenos from 50 day pheno that has a killer body high.to the more sativa 90 days pheno that makes you hear stuff that is not their. to the 50/50 that when you smoke it its a perfect sunny day outdoor high .all phenos has a long duration. some 5+ hr high.

Skunkman's Haze

Skunkman's Haze

Hello to all. I have read somewhere that the Original Haze bred by Sam the Skunkman himself was selected from a parent stock of 10,000 males baby. 10,000 males not 10,000 plants. I have some Original Haze X Skunk 1 and Original oldschool Thai Haze X Skunk 1 and also some Mekong Haze from Delta 9 labs. I live in along the Canadian border so growing these out would need a cozy greenhouse to properly finish. I have also read that the original haze finishes in December in Cali. I have some growing anyways and will probably have to cut them before the frost but we shall see what transpires by November. Just beautiful plants these plants by the skunkman, many thanks to him for sharing these fine genetics to the rest of the cultivars of the cannabis plant. Happy and safe growing to all. Cheers.

There's a broad spectrum of flavours in haze lines, always makes me chuckle when people go on about the haze smell as there are many from citrus through spice and incense to leather and perfume, they all smell 'hazy'.

If you're looking for something easy to grow then maybe I wouldn't bother but if you're up to reading your plants nutrient requirements and managing extreme growth then it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

the Haze which originated from Santa Cruz county Cali is the finest ........ I tended it for years there and in Big Sur region.....not much compares when it comes to sativas..... at least for myself....

Damn, that's one thing I always wanted to understand, how does one define a smell? Like how is it that out of all the different aromas you still can tell it's a "Haze" smell. Sorta reminds me of when people talk about Kush they claim no matter what it smells like it still has that "Kush" smell. I want to know what these distinctive aromas are like

all the plants that I have tasted with 'haze' in them has a particular taste. It tastes like a type of perfume... From Jack to NLX... I can really smell haze in a plant. Sativas are not by definition haze containing...imo. To taste it, gow out a few haze plants, haze cosses and compare it to other sativas and indicas... you will soon taste a similarity.. THAT is haze.

lol:yes:, i think i know what they mean tho, no doubt a kush pro will let me know if i'm wrong - it's like a combination of coffee, cream, earthy, musk/musty,
this is what i picked up from Chem D x OG Kush in veg/early flower and immediately thought this must be 'the kush' smell everyone talks about, smelled nice man:canabis:

I love Haze and Haze hybrids, I admit it. I love the high, the flavor, the smell, the flowering time I can do without. There is just something about this line which seems to possess near mythical charm. Every single grower that I know personally ranks a good, properly grown Haze at or near the top of their personal lists.

My personal favorites in the Haze arena are:

S.A.G.E. All of mine went 10-12 weeks and ranged in flavor between Woody/Spicy, piney, and Hazey. Good producer with a solid high. It is now described as Afghani x Haze, but I remember way back, when it was being sold by the KGB/CIA it was described as Big Sur Holyweed x Afghani; any thoughts from anyone. Whatever it is, it's good!

Nevilles Haze: I grew seeds from the original offering when Shanti was with GHS. Yield sucked, flowering was 14-16 weeks (with clones), internodal spacing you could measure with a yard stick, and don't you dare feed them nutes as if they were a greedy Indica. But the high (extremely intense) was unlike any other strain that I've purchased seeds for commercially, and the flavor was just amazing, extremely pungent. My buddy made a BHO run using Neville's buds exclusively and it was far and away the best cannabis product I have ever (and I mean ever) smoked, bar none.

SSH: In the process of flowering a few out now. Wish me luck.

Hazeseeker that description of kush/Indica is pretty accurate, if I might also add Dark Chocolate and Hashiness(sp?). Although each genepool is different, that seems to be a fairly consistent underlying theme in many(certainly not all) of the Kush lines;at least the ones that I've grown.
