red,

picked up some Cha-Ching and some Molasses from the grocery store.
Hit them up last night with 1tsp ChaChing and 1Tbsp Molasses.

i'll try and get some bud porn up tonight.

Cha-Ching is for resin production, Beastie Bloomz is the bulking agent. I use the whole FoxFarm tri-pack...Open Sesame during early flowering, Beastie Bloomz during mid and late flower and Cha-Ching during late flower. Cha-Ching is ok...I don't really notice a difference. I've skipped it several times with the same results (just use molasses for resin production, I think the plants like it better). Def use Beastie Bloomz! All info below has been taken directly from the Fox Farm website:

OPEN SESAME
Open Sesame® is a high-phosphorus soluble fertilizer that’s designed to bring plants into bloom at your command. Just say the magic words! Open Sesame® provides the optimal level of nutrition with minimal salts and other residue buildups. Whether you’re growing in hydroponic systems, containers, or gardening in ordinary soil, Open Sesame® will go right to work at the root zone and deliver targeted nutrients when the plants need them the most.

Garden Tip: Feed with Open Sesame® every other watering, starting at about the fifth or sixth week of a plant’s life. It takes just a few weeks of Open Sesame® to get stocky, sturdy, compact, high-producing plants and buds that are ready to burst. For optimum results, start indoor plants in our Light Warrior® Agro-Ponic® Grow Medium, or use our premium Ocean Forest® Potting Soil for container plants.

Once buds have formed, help your plant produce awesome flowers by switching to Beastie Bloomz®. For complete feeding schedules, go here.

BEASTIE BLOOMZ
Beastie Bloomz® is perfect for gardeners and growers who are ready to take their plants to the next level. This is a high-phosphorus soluble fertilizer that’s geared towards building amazing buds and flowers. Our revolutionary micronutrient pack is designed to create unbelievable internal bud density, which means that plants create fat, dense, tightly-packed blossoms, and plenty of them. You’ll also see exceptionally brilliant color and a long, dazzling blooming season.

Garden tip: Start with Open Sesame® in the fifth or sixth week of a plant’s life. Once bud set begins, feed your plants with Beastie Bloomz® every other watering according to package directions and our FoxFarm Feeding Schedule. For high-yield results, start indoor plants in our Light Warrior® Agro-Ponic® Grow Medium, and use our premium Ocean Forest® Potting Soil for container plants.

In the eighth to ninth week of the plants life cycle, switch to Cha Ching® for an incredible harvest. For complete feeding schedules, go here.

CHA-CHING
FoxFarm engineered Cha Ching® to maximize a plant’s production. Every stage of the growing cycle demands optimal nutrition. Cha Ching® is a high-phosphorus fertilizer that won’t leave a salty residue or build up in the soil. Even better, we’ve included the micronutrient pack that FoxFarm is known for. It contains all the essential elements you need to support juicy fruit on compact, stocky plants.

Cha Ching® creates juicy, robust fruit with essential oils and resins pumping out of stems and leaves. That means concentrated flavor and perfect texture.

Garden tip: Start with Open Sesame® in the fifth or sixth week of a plant’s life. Once bud set begins feed with Beastie Bloomz® for a two week period. After flowers are fully formed, switch to Cha Ching® and continue through harvest. Feed with every other watering. For high-powered results, start indoor plants in our Light Warrior® Agro-Ponic® Grow Medium, and use our premium Ocean Forest® Potting Soil for container plants.

A teaspoon of Cha-Ching is a lot, I generally use only 1/4-1/2 tsp of Cha-Ching and Beastie Bloomz when feeding my plants (along with FloraNova).

Good choice to go with the Cha-Ching. Hope to see some bud porn soon!

TB4U:

I'm not too worried about the concentration as that the girls haven't had much of a flower dose of P or K at all.
That was a one time shot at 1tsp will feed once or twice more at 1/4tsp before I start to flush them out. Next round I will pick up some Beastie Bloomz for sure.

Nothing much to report.
Into the pre-harvest flush right now, the Hindu Skunk will probably get the chop on 4/20 @ 55days and I'm gonna let the headband keep going closer to 65-70...

Just got my first batch of beans from the 420 auction, along with some freebie SSH!

Thanks for all the love guys. Happy 4/20!
I'm smoking on some of Hindu Skunk as I type this, cut some testers down on Wednesday night and I think this ish is good to go! Can't wait to get home from work tonight and celebrate.

Cure is in full effect, hung dry for about 5 days till the stems got brittle enough to snap, now they're in jars!
Heading out of town for a little while but when I get back I'll be starting some White Berry x PowerPlant beans I got from the SB auction.

I hang dry until brittle then stick em in a paper bag for a few more days. If you stick em in a jar right now a pile of moisture will come out of them. You'd be surprised how soggy they get when you think they are dry. I think you're risking mould at this stage.

Post-Grow WrapUp

Post-Grow WrapUp

Hey All,

This should all about wrap it up for this thread.
Ended up yielding 2.2oz from the headband and 18grams from the Hindu Skunk.
Hindu Skunk ended up great, nice hard rocky sticky nugs, nice flavor and taste.

The Headband never quite got there, don't know if it was the genetics, pH problems or just a fundamental mismatch with my growing style.
Probably would have been a lot better if I let it go a few more weeks but the way things were going I don't know if I would have made it that far.
The resulting smoke isn't bad at all, gets me stoned just fine but it's lacking the flavor and bouquet that makes these "elite" cuts worthwhile.
In the hands of a more experienced grower I'm sure it would have been BOMB!
Makes great blunt-filler tho!

Join me as I start my new run, doing some White Berry x PowerPlant from seed this time!
