What kind of animal was this?

I spend a lot of time in the woods. Durring the day and at night. Most of the animals mentioned would not behave in the manners you have described. My best guess is a coyote had a hold of a rabbit. Rabbits make an awefull screaming noise when attacked.

Doesn't sound like a possum, coon, deer to me. They don't squall like that. I vote mountain lion for sounding like a scream, but a lion wouldn't act like that. A bear would stand it's ground and can run fast.

I think it was aliens or maybe Rush Limbaugh when he was out of Oxycodone.

There's no mountain lions in this area and it certainly wasn't that big.
I guess next time if I hear it run off from me i'll try and chase it to see if I can get a glimpse since I really want to know what it was.
