First of all give thanks and praises to the most I Haile Selassie I, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Conquering Lion of the tribe of Juda. Also nuff respect to di ICMAG crew and all the members, this site is only as good as the members and all of you have made it gold.

Well its that time of year,I guess here its always that time of year(btw is there any other members located in Jamaica?).
This current grow is a Nirvana grow (bless up Gypsy)
White Widow,Northern Lights/Haze and the freebies Mazar I Sharif
Out of 25 seeds total I was able to keep 9 females.3 were males,3 were runts and the rest didnt pop.

In 3 weeks I should have my next order and I will just add it to this thread.
Serious-Bubblegum
DP-Blueberry
Mandala-hashberry

In the very near future I hope to pick up some Diesel from Rez and whatever else I can get my hands on.
Side note as Im sure to get asked this question,I have grown some local strains but I havent been satisfied as yet.Ive only been back here in Ja for about 8 months and Im still on the hunt, when I find what I seek you guys will see the rewards.I also hope to cross some local with what I order in the future.I'll post some pics of what I grew local in the thread.

Seeds were started with the paper towel method and planted in cups after they popped.
I kept them on my back balconey during the day and brought in at night. They get a full days worth of direct sunlight as theres no obstruction until it sets in the mountains. At night I would bring them in and put them under a few lights to keep them vegging until Im ready to flower them.
The soil is a mix of very good soil to begin with,6 year old untouched compost dirt (rotted down coconut husk, rotted down coconut trees, everything from the yard, kitchen scraps and chicken manure).
I vegged them for 43 days then left them outside for the 12/12 to sex them.Got ride of the males and transplanted them to there new home where they seem to be very happy.
Not much more needs to be said,if you have any questions plese post them up.
On with the show.

Ok back, sorry about that but Im sure you can understand.
Thanks for all the good words so far,Im very curious to see how tall they turn out and the yeild. This is the first time Ive ever vegged,I always popped them and plant them. All I used were 4-20 watt energy save bulbs.I think they really give around 100 watts a bulb though.
Its a hassle for me to veg them due to keeping them out of site do to our staff and guest(I own a guesthouse). But so far I think it is well worth it and I will be doing all my grows this way from now on.Unfortunately this limits my grow spot as well as it is on the side of the hill and all around it is rock but my spot.

By law your not to grow or be in possession but of course we all do it anyway. The cops dont give you a big problem unless your a few lbs deep.Even at that a few dollors and you can be on your way. Most indoor clubs you will see people smoking and all outdoor sessions theres a heavy cloud of smoke over the croud.Sunfest is a big yearly event thats 5 nights of party outdoors until morning. When you go theres people walking around selling ganja openly and the cops just walk by.Everyone down here smokes on the road side and you see it everywhere you look,as long as your not disrespectful to the police they wont bother you.Just hide it even if they see it and they have no problem. Our logic is they cant arrest everyone because there no space, they have bigger problems down here like the coke trade due to it passing through on its way to the states.American DEA has been down here alot recently spraying the fields and local goverment is taking it more serious now because locals are taking it to Hati and trading it for guns to sell her to turn a profit. Its been a long battle towards legalization but its still 50/50.
Religion plays a big part down here with it also, rastafarism is very big and it goes hand in hand with ganja so they been pressuring to legalize.Time will tell even though it doesnt matter, were still free to smoke.

Randude101:Things down here work fast,They flower VERY early and dont get much growth. This is the only way for me to do it due to my plot size or I would have more going to make up for it.
Here they are enjoying the river view

Im in the parish of Portland but that is not the Rio Grande river, although Im always fishing that river during snook season or I'll head up that river to catch crayfish and perch.
I've been wanting to head out "west" but I havent had the time at all, nothing much going on in Portland as far as the ganja scene. When I head to the states I put in my order and bring down the seeds,I dont trust the postal here at all so I dont bother take the chance.Plus I have to order everything I dont want to lose my moneys worth.I plan to do alot of crossing in the future and pass the seeds out to other local growers that dont have access. The climate here is perfect for cultivation but the rainy season can be a killer at times,I had to chop my last local strains early due to the continues rains and had some mold issues.
How often do you come down?
Stay in Portland?
If anything you can pm me,I moved back down here so I'll always be around.

Bless up

Heres a local unknown from a few months ago

Thanks for the kind words everyone and all the pms, keep them coming.Looks like I might get a visitor or two from IC in the near future, all are welcomed that are coming to the island.

Core:Yes they seem to be enjoying there new home very much and your more then welcomed to tag along any time bredren..nuff respect

Well a little update, its been raining like crazy from last night.Got up this morning to make sure they were ok and the run off washed my boards off my raised beds and some of the dirt.Had to get things back in order in the rain but it looks like everything is ok.I was shocked to see how much they have rooted in the last 9 days as some of them were exposed. In the next month or so its going to be raining alot in lead up to land crab season.Out of the whole island it rains the most in Portland, sometimes for weeks or a month at a time you just never know.Looking at the 5 day forcast its expected to rain everyday.
I was only able to grab a few shots before I had to retreat.

Jah Bless
