battle of the sumos: chronic vs critical mass vs pog vs shark shock

if you can get it your best bet is chemdawg d or a bx of it, my bx2 yields riddiculous amounts of gooey resin coated nugs, i think if your cashcropiing its a no brainer, you will also be able to get top dollar for the harvest this way and you will have the happiest customers in town!!!

i hear that jbm you must be in cali like me... i cant tell you how many times i have sat there with some bombass shark shock or cali o or hindu kush.... only to be looked down upon... I have hit all these purps and kushes and truthfully, i like a bit more variety but others do not see it that way,,, such is life. And now its all out of porportion, i have seen so many " kush" hybrids out here in the med scene i want to throw up. If i see another guy pass off some perfectly grown trainwreck as trainwreck kush and get away with it, i may just go postal. This is the underlying problem. because people wont accept any strands other than the kush and purps, many have resorted to falsely naming their chronic... lol i was standing at a friends house and he had planted some "kush" seeds, i said o what kind is that, he said i dunno, the seed just popped up in my friends "kush" nugs last year,,, and i bet when he gives the meds to his patients, they will think his watered down kush is kush, unless they know. lol... back to topic tho, Critical Mass when done correctly can really bring nice buds, and people who appreciate good variety will love this stand. its a nute hog tho. at this point i grow og kush and critical mass for the best of both worlds. i have 2 green crack going and some white widow as well... will be adding in sour bubble, bogglegum, and grapepunch next round, but the og and critical will be reserved a spot for a while.

I hear ya man... its really sad and ridiculous, but its how the market has gone. I mean, you can grow these other strains, they're just harder to move and worth less. Sounds like we need some "Critical Kush" LOL

Green crack, LA confidential, Afgooy & Fruity Pebbles are some good exceptions to the BS 'kush' demand that all have their own great qualities about them.

As said before, the Chem (whatever kind) is a killer choice. Big yield, super chronic. Someone just needs to X a good Skunk #1 (notice its in all the big yielders) to one of the cali elites and do some selection.

it all depends on the Veg, Light , Nutes,an Adatives

a friend of mine has been getting between 11 an 14oz with 1x 600w

she grows like a crawling bush, if you get it right...........she streches nicly in flower, this is grate, because there could be a risk of mold otherwise,,,,,it can get too dence in veg

this was veg`d under 2x600w mh....on an NFT tray with CannaAquaVega,,,, Budlink is the key addative in veg,,,it increeses yeald by 30% easy,,,,budlink makes the nodes close-together an steams grow mega thick..

this is a great lot of info, thank you all

I know its a tired subject to some people but I am way too interested in the idea of something fucking fantastic but yields well too. Why cant bubba 98 yiled 800 grams per square meter? lmao

Rick, Budlink? thanks for your info, thats good to know. :D

I agree with the other people saying that, I am really getting annoyed with the over used "Kush" word and silly fad. Shall I have to call my Nevilles Haze - Nevilles Kush now???? lol

There are a ton of wonderful strains out there that are not kush. I've found some wonderful moms with seed crosses too. Its like food, everybody likes different things.

yes, that seems to be correct, skunk1, NL, afghan mixes seem to mostly yield high

I agree..thats one of my pet peeves..when ignorant people use terms such as "chronic" or "kush" to describe s certain weed..

I wont even consider growing serios seeds CHRONIC just cus ALL the commercial shit Ive bough is always "dude i got some fire chronic"..and it always ends up being garbage..lol

so yea,im just tired of everyone sayijng they have chronic or "kush"..its just so dammmm ignorant and annoying to me..but then again im more of a cannbais enthisiast and nopt so much of a typical "pothead" ..lol..

Just weighed my Double Dutch harvest. Few grams shy of 1 1/2 lbs. under a 1000w in a 4x4 homebox. It's my fist clone run ever, and just my 2nd run with a 1000 watter. First run was flowering the mums. I think with some tweaking I can push that near 1 3/4-2 lbs. Time will tell.

i would also highly recommend the DD from Magus even though i havent tried it yet but getting a selected clone soon

5novhoestdd201.jpg

ive grown pot of gold before but didnt test smoke it before it when to customers but no complaints :)
it yielded very well for its size
its almost a singel cola plant that doesnt take up too much space and its good for SOG
just make sure humidity isnt too high
of many different strain in that grow POG was the only one that had some mold due to a period of 60-65% humidity

im looking forward a lot to trying the DD as ive only heard god stuff about it both regarding yield and potency

POG is a little more pheno sensitive of you want both high yield and potency but surely theres keeper potential in it
ive read somewhere that ppl complained a little about the taste from POG though

ive never tryied Chronic but should be getting a clone soon
ppl say about chronic that it isnt the best taste but yield is high and some phenoes have very good potency also

Nine plants.. I'm thinking that 16-25 grown more SOG style to 20-24 in will yield better than 9 24-30 in bushes. I did have some bottom fluff on the 9 plants that hurt yield. I'm going to keep tweaking though.

I think when all things are dialed in SOG (with a single cola strain) really does yield the most measured by watts/grams/time, its just too bad about the legal implications.

I cant find double dutch seeds anywhere. Weird.

anyway, check this out! this is only ONE chronic in scrog LOL, it was grown by NBG (edit!)

I thought Chronic didnt react well to topping and was a main cola type thing? anyways this is supposed to be chronic. The buds sure look like it. wow did I ever have to downsize these images--in half from now dead hg.420 forum. With all the nice grow /bud pics here at IC I wish the allowed file size was a bit bigger.

this was 450gr from a 400watt light

anyway, if the smoke was good, the legal implications would be sooo much better with 10 of these in scrog instead of a hundred in SOG

always know your local laws and try to be just under the next level of sentencing; in some countries, that includes aggravating factors like unsafe wiring, mold & health hazards, being close to a school, guns, dogs, etc.

also, know ahead of time how much $ a competent lawyer will cost and have that salted away. no harm there. it can always be used for other emergencies too
