Off topic, but had to vent since my make your own cigs just went from about $10/carton to $25/carton and Obama is a tyrant.

My bottom line Hanna AND Milwaukee both suck. The Hanna takes 5 minutes to get settled at its reading, and the Milwaukee is all over the place always needing calibration. I think the water temperature screws around with the Milwaukee readings. A ph pen that adjusts for water temp is in my plans for the next purchase. The truncheon ph meters were really bad from others' reviews, so I would stay away from that one. The Oakton and the upper line Milwaukees get better reviews.

eseasongear.com had the best prices I found at the time, if you are in the market. And they aren't hydro store, they do mostly pool/spa stuff.

Thanks I will check them out. To be honest, I was really happy w/ my cheap chineese piece of crap o meter, reading would stabilize pretty quick, the one I have on the way is supposed to compensate for temp too. I am gonna check out that site though. Thanks.

Just cleared the catch pans from the bushes, checked the runoff, and wouldn't you know, the last of the runoff from earlier clocks in at 6.5!!!! Even if my meter is off, I am taking that shit!!! Huge sigh of relief, and I am betting that my meter isn't really far off.

Time is just crawling by at a snails pace, here I am Day 15. I am about to water my clones, all 9 w/ RO ph'd @ 6.6, then feed them. I am going to get them good and wet first, get plenty of runoff, to help up the soil ph. Then feed in PBP @ 10ml/gallon, calmag @ 5ml/gallon, LK @ 5ml/gallon, Hydroplex @ 5ml/gallon, and then top it off w/ sweet @ 10 ml/gallon. We'll see what happens from there. It's going to be a long ass night, just got in, and won't even be able to start watering for a bit, I need to go get the water first. Good thing I don't get to sleep anytime before 4 in the morning anyway LOL! Hopefully my ph pen cooperates w/ me tonight, just need it to hold out a little while longer! Hopefully I will get some new pictures up tomorrow night. Later tators.

just for my own info, I gave the clones a 1 gallon flush, then fed 5ml/gallon pbp bloom,cm,lk,hydroplex, and 10ml/gallon of sweet. hope they can hang, most all the runoff was around 5.8ish up to 6.2ish, supposedly anyway.

Well, just an observation day. Starting to get some baby trichs in on the bud leaves, flowers are continuing to develop. I think I may have to get the light yo yos outta there and replace them w/ my chains, some of the closest leaves are showing just the tiniest amount of light/heat stress, just a very little bit though. I am going to just watch it and see how it goes, I may be fine. It's just that if I need to raise them, the yo yo things are already as high as they can get them. I guess they are still stretching or maybe they are just finishing stretch, but I just don't have much more room to go up w/ them. The closest tops are likely about 8 inches or so from the glass, and canopy temps are steady at 77* so we'll see eh. Pics to come, likely tomorrow, got caught up tonight w/ other non-grow related things. Hell I only got to go in a peek at them 3 or 4 times for just a few minutes at a time. They look well though.

Glad they are doing well; in our case flushing was not an option but I certainly would have done it the plants had been smaller and in 10 gal pots and not trashcans. So Kush I'm not advocating NO flushing; merely adding my experience. I've flushed many a soil plant and had them grow for the better becaause of it......but still the best advice I can give you is to ph EVERYTHING going in.

good to see you wh! I am kinda half ass flushing as you can see lol! I am just gonna water and feed, keep alternating until the soil gets back up where it should be, then I will switch to feed feed water until done. since they aren't suffering, I feel a lil better about things. I am wondering also if maybe the hi-brix didn't send the soil crashing also? I used mollasses last time, but only at very small doses, and this time I gave them 30ml/ gallon all in 1 shot. after that is when the heart attack came on lol.
I tasted my runoff, it was clean, and the water itself was pretty clear. I thought I had read that sometimes it may have a salty flavor and be stained if I od'd them? in any event, they are growing like friggin weeds still, so's I am content. I am gonna post some pics tonight, come back by and give a peek. things are starting to happen. good things!

I had 1 pheno that was very light and leafy, not dense at all, looked sativaish IMO. I know that I could have let it go a while longer too. Not worth growing IMO, not potent at all.
I had 2 others that were similar, less leafy, more dense, better potentcy, but nothing to write home about. Their taste was decent though.
The last one, was not nearly as leafy, very dense, rock hard nugs, very sweet lemon citrus flavor when cured, more fuel type of smell while growing, but you had to touch it to get the smell. I took all mine at 73 days after 10 days of flushing. The last one was my MK#1 that I am now running all the clones from, and is one of the big bushes. The other was the better of the 2 others that were decent, and like I said, the bigger, lankier, sativa type that never tightened up, was not even worth smoking, so I just ate it. It was more potent when you put 6 grams of it into a cup of whole milk LOL! The shortest (MK #1) was the best potency, also best bud structure. In the end, it was the best that I got out of that batch, but not quite top notch, I would consider it a good mid grade. But I have spoiled myself, so it does take a bit to impress me, and nothing that I have grown has yet come close to impressing me. Like I said, I really hope you get better results, but if you have the leafy, lanky pheno, I wouldn't waste the nutes or soil on it. It was dissapointing, it's funny though, most folks thought it looked stellar while growing, and at a glance it may have seemed like it was huge and impressive, but airy, and not so potent.
So the potential is there for those to tighten up, just depends which phenos you have, the more indica doms, the better off you are w/ those. You'll see for sure if you have the more desirable one, in my run, it was the shortest one, and had the chunkiest flower sets of all of them.

Na man mine is 36"ht x 26"spd and a solid bud. Very unique plant reminds me of old mexican swag i grew when i was younger...buds are getting sticky white but still real leafy,,,,for sure good yield just a bitch to trim....i was really hoping it would tighten up.....ill post pic this evening...I have 5-8 behind this one (4 weeks) and have a taller more sativa pheno and also have a shorty thats 4 main nugs...buds should be nice....I cloned so ill be stuck with one more grow but probably wont due it once they finish July 1.... enough blabbing hit ya up later.......

Lights came on an hour ago, I will be getting in there in about an hour or so, plan on putting in a lil' work, feeding the bushes, checking on the clones, I would be sincerely shocked if they needed any water/food, but I am betting the bushes will be ready to eat. Gonna go w/ a feeding this round, then water the next just to be safe. Still waiting on my ph pen, hopefully mine is close enough.

Well, it's gonna be a long night it looks like. The clones are in need of some moisture. So I am going to use the last of my water on them tonight as well, which means, another trip to the water place to re-up on another 25 gallons of RO. Yeah.
Clones are getting:

10ml/gallon PBP Bloom
5ml/gallon CalMag+
5ml/gallon LK
5ml/gallon Hydroplex
and 15ml/gallon Sweet.
Ph'd @ 6.6

I only have 3 gallons of water left, that's 1 gallon for every 3 clones, that'll have to do for now. Just like the bushes, they will be getting plain ph'd water next time. I am in the sloooow process of uploading pics to my album, so I will be posting them tonight still, they are all of the bushes, but I took them out before I watered them and got some pics in normal light.

i started with the big bushes but now i am starting quite a few seeds to find a few mothers and fathers and start a 1.5 gallon sog,i also started some feminized seeds to throw in to flower as soon as i get cuts so i don't mess up my harvests cycle

we do do similar things i use top max as well and i alternate liquid kool bloom with the hydroplex and i don't use cal-mag becuase i use my tapwater it is 150-200 ppm and 7.5-7.8 ph straight out of the faucet,,,we are even right about the same day in bloom i think i am day 20 maybe 21 just a couple days ahead, but not sure would have to look and a lil lazy lol

Interesting, I only ended up w/ 4 females outta 10, and 4 different variations, looks like you have something on your hands there that I didn't get outta my pack. It does look similar to the one that I least liked, giant looking colas. You are right though, they are really leafy. Weird? Seems to be alot of variation in those beans from Nirvana w/ that. Worse comes to worse, there's always hash! Or eating them LOL! Kinda tough to compare them to my old pics, since my plants weren't exaclty in good shape, but they do look leafy for sure. I'd still smoke, eat'em, take a bath w/ them LOL!
What's up w/ the Purple Power Plant? Looks very sativa, I guess because it is huh? LOL How far along is that one? What do you dislike about it so far? That is different than Pure Power Plant right?

Cool beans man, thanks for the kind words, you are so damn lucky you can use your tap water! I would eat a baby to be able to do that. I cannot wait to do a run w/ clones only! Just pack them the fuck in there! The bushes are a pain in the ass, I hope they end up being worth it. Clones are alot easier IMO, this run, I am going to use a finisher, yous guys ever used anything like this, MOAB, (Mother of all Bloom), it says to use the last 2 weeks of flower, just 1-2 teaspoons per gallon, it's a powder. I figure, worse comes to worse and anything crazy happens, it won't do too much damage being that close to the end, but I wonder what kind of a difference it'll make? It was free, so what the hell right?

Took all of these tonight, most are the bushes, at the end I have a few w/ the whole family. I think you can see in some that I have some upside down canoe leaves, they appear to be just on the very tippy top of some of the newest growth, resemble an eagle claw, but it's just one leaf here, one leaf there, and only on the very tops of the plants closest to the light. Do you think that it's just heat/light stress related? Or is this the plants telling me that they are on the verge of od'ing on Nitrogen? Be hard to handle if that's the case, I mean, they are only getting what's in the PBP Bloom, and CalMag, and whatever is in the soil? I wouldn't think that would od them, so I am kinda leaning to light/heat stress. I raised my lights last night about 3 or 4 inches, so hopefully it will not be an issue if it's that. Love to hear some opinions, and if any of you see anything about to go "oh shit" on me, speak up!
