I've noticed lately many changes in my views and desires, and, actually, when I think about it......I mean, yeah, sure....there's things to do....:smoke:, but, I find lately little interest, as there is something specific I really want to do....(anyone who has read whole thread probably knows the one specific thing I have been wanting to do :smoke:...)

Window for that is open and closed in little over 60 days from now.....and, just don't think going to make that deadline for what I really want to do......

But starting to focus more on as discussed....longer term planning for what I really want to do, so......if in the end this year spent working on specific project in future with bigger payoff?....well, right now things are not bad ($$), so......if focusing on something which maybe next season can give me what I want, well...........I won't complain...(harvest time I'll complain because will be extra light....but, if talking early run next spring then from harvest only 6 months, blah,blah,blah...

Point made.

Ya just never know though :smoke:....stranger things have happened then everything coming together when you least expect :smoke:...

Really would like to do a 5 acre May AF fem run :smoke:...

Starting to put in the work and see the value of planning :smoke:...

(Fuck man....if I got 1 tomorrow to work with would be happy though :smoke:)

Really starting to become something I won't be able to sleep until I do it :smoke:.

Ya just never know. :smoke:

I'll be around....

I'm sure I'll stop back with things to share :smoke:

Little to say....not in that mode right now....in non stop immersion mode lately 24/7 on several things..:smoke:

Glad to see ya back J:wave:

Sorry to hear things aren't going as planned.
that's life right? We are given new challenges each day that make us stronger.

I have the same (or similar) deal going with my AF run......
Ordered too late. Extremely poor germ rate, especially compared to the other stuff I started. seeds won't be ready til early June IF plants actually decide to grow and I get females. Just a bunch of little stuff adding up.

May do a fem seed run (only a few thousand at most for me) anyway just so I don't have to run huge moms for my desired output. Season has gone from what was supposed to be a 'set me up for a while' season to a 'personal' season.

Things could change, but I just have to get more creative about it.

Very sure even my biggest plans wouldn't compare to the smallest of yours, but different needs for different people:joint:

be well

Hey Julain read your whole thread and really enjoyed it. Glad I got to stumble upon this when I am 20 so I have plenty of time to share this knowledge with others. Knowledge is power and I will use it to set me free. Thanks for sharing all you have learned with us now others can benefit also. I live pretty close to you I'd say from what you have said and already put one rooted clone out in a pot to veg so I can take tons of clones from her. Got other mum's putting out also but in other locations. Will be using all clones this season I have some Hashberry, Grape Kush, Strawberry Cough, and Pink Indica x Blue Widow. I gotta get some funds gathered so I can start stocking up on supplies need an auger, soil, nutes, and some more cloning supplies.

I have found prob 10 or so places to work just trying to do 1,000 though but might use most of the spots so its spready out really well. One place there is this lake with little islands and coves all around with lots of woods that would be inaccesible by anything but boat:nanana:

I am tired of living life bill to bill for ps so it's time to take it to the next level. Wish me luck and I wish everyone a good season! Good luck on your AF project Julian I would have already ran that this winter though in another in location so it would be ready. I will prob mess around with some CS on some females since its so easy but getting everything in the ground for this year is my first priority. Toss some of that older vintage seed your buddy gave you from your earlier days. Sure a lot of people would appreciate the vintage stuff, I know I would. I am sure I have prob smoked some of your stuff being so close I know my buddies have gotten some nice Power Plant in just a couple months ago and they are pretty are at the lowest level on the chain just splitting into 8's

Actually I am familiar, but have not read 100% from front to back, why do you ask? (curious as to mention...after reading this I went back and read a little more...but have mixed reviews and opinions.......ie: Lot fascinating, I enjoy...some of it very dry and looses me...)

Overview for reader, and limited preview of it here

A black swan is a highly improbable event with three principal characteristics: It is unpredictable; it carries a massive impact; and, after the fact, we concoct an explanation that makes it appear less random, and more predictable, than it was. The astonishing success of Google was a black swan; so was 9/11. For Nassim Nicholas Taleb, black swans underlie almost everything about our world, from the rise of religions to events in our own personal lives.

Why do we not acknowledge the phenomenon of black swans until after they occur? Part of the answer, according to Taleb, is that humans are hardwired to learn specifics when they should be focused on generalities. We concentrate on things we already know and time and time again fail to take into consideration what we don’t know. We are, therefore, unable to truly estimate opportunities, too vulnerable to the impulse to simplify, narrate, and categorize, and not open enough to rewarding those who can imagine the “impossible.”

For years, Taleb has studied how we fool ourselves into thinking we know more than we actually do. We restrict our thinking to the irrelevant and inconsequential, while large events continue to surprise us and shape our world. Now, in this revelatory book, Taleb explains everything we know about what we don’t know. He offers surprisingly simple tricks for dealing with black swans and benefiting from them.

Elegant, startling, and universal in its applications The Black Swan will change the way you look at the world. Taleb is a vastly entertaining writer, with wit, irreverence, and unusual stories to tell. He has a polymathic command of subjects ranging from cognitive science to business to probability theory. The Black Swan is a landmark book–itself a black swan.

The highlighting of course is mine :smoke:

Is it possible to do minis in spring/summer instead of growing them out during the season?

I know I can trim to alter its profile some so that it is not so obvious, as well as blending them into the existing foliage.

Backyard grow is what I am eyeing right now. Need to make the plants look like "something else" and trimming to keep them short is but one way, and I want to know if minis are possible in spring/summer as well.

Pond, using autoflowering strains that would be fairly easy to do. If you're talking about having them mature and harvest them before the normal end of 'season' for flowering plants. That is, if I'm understanding you right and you're wanting to harvest minis in the spring/summer, instead of late in the season.

I've also read a journal here where someone grew plants outside, in pots. Moved them into a dark shelter every day to control light exposure to the plants and harvest early.

Otherwise, with normal plants left out to grow under the unrestricted sun, then you're looking at the normal growing season. Most of the discussion of minis in this thread, if memory serves, is really regarding plants that are put out later in the season, so they have a shorter time to grow and thus remain smaller. They still mature at around the same time as they would otherwise. Now, it /is/ entirely possible to restrict their growth through trimming and other means, so that they stay smaller and thus are less noticeable than they would be left to grow to their full size.

Yeah, thats what I meant - plant early spring, harvest mid/late spring to early summer, plant early summer, harvest late summer/early fall, etc.

I know you can do it easier with indoors, but I don't have indoors at the moment, so am looking at something like the backyard (mainly alter the form to keep it looking like "another type of plant), etc.

Then, in my opinion at least, you're looking at two options. Either artificially controlling their light exposure, which can require a lot of work and moving the plants or building a structure to cover them... or looking into auto flowering plants. Lowryder and other strains. Not a subject I'm very familiar with myself, but check the auto flowering forum here, probably has the info you need.

anyone have any bright ideas to get to sides of highways without being noticed?...

ride a bus...........break a window.......tuck n roll

just like gettin out o a boxcar

on a more serious note........lots of highways have local roads that come pretty close to them. Park on the local road or in a good spot off of it, hike your way in. watch for fences

I would strongly advise against portraying one who law enforcement can verify if they so wish, may be familiar with, and may possess identification.

In a less populated area, LE may very well know everyone personally...(A suburban Dept of any major metro may fit this. City organizations not very large. They may possibly even know owner.

As mentioned and earlier discussed one would of course use closest back road for access.(One of many purposes from having an aerial...knowing what is where and how far and the density......)

Not hard to see the potential when one drives a stretch with nothing but dense forest on both sides of the road for 100 miles, but one has to balance security issues with such desires. (We all use unknown areas at some point, which offer complete sets of pros and cons which counter each other.)

Access issues always significant, traffic, and so on and so on.....

Many limited on site selection...and availability which represents in essence the ability to....

I currently find myself "without any spots".......and rethinking the very concept.

In the end, the truth of the matter is there is no such thing.

:smoke:

It may not seem readily apparent that there is/are specific spot(s) that meet a narrow criteria I have to execute a specific project.

But "no spots"?

:biglaugh:

What a ridiculous fucking statement :biglaugh:.

Certainly not something I should entertain for more than a moment and certainly not something that someone who has read through everything would make.

What you can, where you can, when you can, right?
.......:smoke:

(I know, I know....I'm set on my little things......and must do it....and have to do it....and won't rest until I do........but in the meantime am I going to watch an entire season go by? :smoke:......)

We're not even started and I personally don't believe I can.....(already well into spring training....I believe superior than I ever have....higher level and superior supplements...much higher than previous training with free weights..(as I rest today because so sore can't even hold a drink, fork, roll one....)

I've been training a lot of people lately and becoming very concerned at people's ability (inability :smoke:) to even realize what they don't know let alone ability to absorb new concepts......

(I know, I know...many would call me many things....but I've been doing quite a bit of training in recent months on many subjects, and, frankly, take great pleasure in just listening for a week at a time sometimes......I always try and take advantage of any and every encounter with someone with a knowledge in something I possess none....I sometimes wonder about people who do not.......)

Growing ....successfully, any reasonable amount, is, if one has not noticed yet, a task and activity which requires enormous amounts of creative thinking.

Backyard? More controlled environment? "By the book" certainly a greater possibility of structured approach than anything remotely resembling "Guerrilla"....

Once out and committed?

Well.....anything and everything possible on a moments notice from traffic to weather to feeding to animals and so on and so on.

Any given time.

(I'd be interested to see anything regarding the psychological analysis of the personality of a successful outdoor grower in a non controlled environment over a 5 year period...)

Now that would be some interesting reading :smoke: (At least I believe so...)

Was talking with someone recently and the "No spots" topic came up, and found myself telling them "And you call yourself a Guerrilla grower......Pfffffttt :biglaugh:".

Spots though require care..........the right call can set you up for year$ to come in a single shot.....

The wrong one?......well.......

Balance should fall to the positive side when weighed.

"50/50" not good enough.
