can u hire scooters same as bikes ?
yes, scooter rentals are here, bad news is that they are 37.50 euros a day. in cambodia 5 u.s. dollars a day. but if you really want to have a good time and see the countryside and a few other towns it is the way to go. i can take anyone who rents a scooter on a killer trip.

I would love to get a lil scooter over there... My knee wont let me ride a bike anymore... and a scooter would definately save some walking and prolly be fun too... picture me rollin! LOL Dreadlocks blowin in the wind HA HA!!
But the prices...dang... some of em need 300 Euro deposits....plus gas...
I'd much rather spend the money on ganja/hasj... But it does sound like it would be awesome to zip around everywhere quickly and easily...
Is there anywhere in particular you recommend rentin one from Mr Haze? Think theres any chance a group of us might be able to get a discount rentin a few of em?

gilex scooters on the marnixstraat is where friends have rented in the past, credit card for deposit and away you go. alot more can be seen when using the scooter. i regularly go to haarlem and the beach on the scooter and utrecht is not that far, been there many times and it is a nice ride. when you consider the cost of train travel the scooter is alot more fun.

all is good here, and a brommer tour would be awesome, as i am very familiar with getting around holland on the scooter. the rentals are the no helmet kind so you can ride on the bike paths. born to be wild and easy rider is what it is all about

Okay Passport applied for on expedite and I am told that the rush on passports is over and 10 days is what i can expect to wait.

I couldn't remember exactly when I married my last wife so i kinda hope that doesn't count against me.
Needless to say that marriage is something I have worked on forgetting.
What the hell do they need to know that for? LOL
So unless some terrorist out there has my name or I some how donated money to a charity that is related to a charity that is related to a terrorist, I should be fine I guess

have to pass, and just meet you both in Haarlem WW Indica coffeeshop.
Since I like smoking Amnesia Haze when I am in the Netherlands, riding a bike
or a scooter is out of the question for me
the whole year after the last icmag cup I have been working my butt off
creating online businesses, and have not been smoking much bud, only once
a month when I take a day vacation to my grandfather's farm
there I toke and go to the Russian sauna, and he beats me with this *thing*
made out of tree branches with leaves, sorry but do not know what it is
called in English
anyway, I look forward to meeting you, and everyone else for what seems to

lol...yeah...many people when they go to saunas they use these *things* to hit their
skin with, to get the pores open, etc
but my grandfather is old school, went through WWII, and sees nothing wrong
with using this thing to take a few layers of skin from my back with it
of course I could not see myself doing this to my own grandson, if and when
I will have one, but I do like doing it to my wife, and her women friends :smile:
especially when my wife goes to jump in the pool, and her friend or two stay
behind to have me gently hit the back side of the bodies with this *thing*
from the top of the back to the end of the legs, and everything in between
after that I have to run and jump in the pool also, and maybe do some

Well I appreciate all the friendship on this trip because I've never been there and want to experience it to it's fullest.
P.S. she has reconsidered and will try to go next year if we can that is.

And I could post pictures of 420 goers being scapped up from the nice smooth cobblestones and tram tracks...that is if the tram doesn't get them first. Have seen it happen with my own eyes. Feel certain there will be a train contingent meeting the bikers in Haarlem.....count me in with the train group.

Jack, the best way is to have an exact place where you will meet someone
on an exact day and at the exact time, plus you can use this forum to stay
in contact if you can't make it on time, or for whatever reason
there is always a place where you can get to the internet in Amsterdam and
make posts online
do you know what date you will be in Amsterdam and when you will leave, or
you will only know this when you get your passport?

Mr. Haze, when I move down to the Netherlands, and build up my tolerance,
I will definately take you up on this offer...lol :smile:
but this cup I will have to stand on the side lines and look how you and
whoever else is going to use the scooters to get around, and hopefully
have a blast...doing that

as I already wrote I will be there on the 19th, and will stay till the 27th, so
that I have the time to look around and get a feel for the objective part
