My 400 watt CMH Double Dutch, White Widow, and Bagseed Grow

Ok, this is my first grow diary. this is my 3rd grow but i havent grown in a few years. i remember back in 07 when double dutch won the indica category in the ICmag cup and ever since then i wanted to grow it. and of course the white lady. also i found a bagseed in a bag of some dank bud i got a couple months ago and i kept it and germed it with the rest of the seeds.

The White Widow is from White Label and is feminized. Also the double dutch is fem. they only had the fem DD at seedboo

My set up
I have a Darkroom DR80 its 2'8" x 2'8" x 5. i got a 400 watt HID with a CMH lamp. i was planning on switching to a HPS in flower but after seeing some peoples results im gonna go with the CMH thru the whole thing.
my fan is a 270CFM can fan i have it running at around 60-70% which is good enough to keep the temps a couple degrees higher then the air outside.

Threads suck without PICS so here they are.

There about 1-2 weeks the bigger ones germed first. also i only have room for 4 of them so i might have to get rid of the two smaller WW or one WW and the bagseed if the BS isnt female.

oh some of them got a lil burned from the FFOF i think.... i had them in some seed starter soil i got from lowes but a week ago i knocked them all over by accident and they soil went everywhere so i decide to transplanted them into the FFOF soil and a couple got burned... there healthy now tho.

The can fan is behind the tent wrapped up in two blankets to keep the noise down. also i have a duct muffler thats connected between the fan and the carbon filter. that you can see hanging above the tent

the tent is inside the closet and its pretty tight in there. the tent fits perfectly inside. theres about 2 inches between the walls of the tent and the closet walls.

I will try to update this thread with pics n stuff weekly or biweekly.

ALso i would like to say thanks to Freezer boy and the others that helped me decide on what to get for my setup.

hey looking good so far, 1 thing though, i have grown all the way through with a 400w cmh light , and i have used cmh for veg and hps for flower and i rather use hps in flower for more dense buds less leafy but i love cmh for veg.... i also think you could go ahead and transplant from those cups to the big sqare pots..... ill keep an eye on this one.... love the double dutch selection btw they are huge yeilders make sure you clone your plants and get a good mom...

Yeah i was thinkin that too but theres a pretty heated argument in the CMH thread in the grow equipment forum. i dunno i might go with HPS i have the bulb so its not like i need to spend any extra money. i still have time to decide.

with your CMH grow did you use the same clone both with CMH and HPS and got the leafy results with the CMH but not with the HPS? some growers have shown on the CMH thread their buds and they didn't look leafy. im wondering if its cause of the strain or the bulb that people get bad results with the leafiness or if its really the CMH. i would really like someone to have done an experiment with clones and do a comparison to end the debate.

I've flowered several times with the CMH and HPS. CMH gets the job done fine, I couldn't be happier. I noticed higher trichrome production from my CMH versus the same clone under an HPS. most all flowers in my past grows (in my signature) were done with CMH, and you can see the results for yourself.

as to your grow... well done, sir. i see what you were saying about extremely similar setups. though i'm really jealous about your aircooling. if i had the extra 8 inches (i'm only 2' x 2') aircooled lights would be the first improvement. overall, the DR80 may be a better all around size. extra height too. i'll be following your progress. good luck and take it easy.

Thanks merr! ill stick with the CMH. ive seen other with great success with the CMH also. your Blueberry looks freakin awsome. ive always wanted to grow them. Same with your white widow. i hope mine comes out as nicely as yours is.
yeah the air cooled hood is workin great. i dont have to have my fan runnin as high since it sucks the heat directly out. which is good noise wise.

as for transplanting them..... i will the white widow and the DD but i dunno bout the bagseed. i may just scrap it since i already know the DD and WW are fem.

still i would like to have three different strains to smoke when im all done with this grow... i dont want to transplant it then have it end up being male. my past grows i didnt transplant them into thier final pots untill they were sexed.

Oh i got rid of the Bag seed. it was lookin to be too sativa and i didnt want that one taking over my entire tent. also since the DD and WW and from fem seeds i already know there gonna be female so i didnt waste my time with the bagseed.

i should change the title... if i can.

Nice selection and nice setup wacky. I just popped 2 fem Double Dutch, and can't wait to see how they do for you. I've heard nothing but good stuff about them.

Thanks Seismic.

I just changed their light schedule to 12/12.

the White widow are growing crazy fast. the two small ones have almost caught up to the DD in a day.

i wanted to let the DD grow a bit more but those white widows would take over if i let them veg any longer. also i topped the big WW.

You can see in the group shot the two smaller WW have gotten pretty big. i have the two DD up on books cause the WW are getting big. the nodes are much more tight on the DD tho then the WW. i love how how double dutch is so compact and uniform with those tight internodes.

oh and the big WW and the one with two smaller ones have switched places. the big one is in the back now and has been topped.

there all showing preflowers. i love the Fem seeds.

wow nice. they look good.
do u usually leave those long side shoots grow out like that?

well the DD is pretty branchy and the side shoots are almost at the same level as the main shoot so i let them be. i trimmed a couple smaller ones that wasnt getting that much light. the WW side shoots stretched out pretty good too. if they dont develop well then ill just hash them.
